At one point the other disciples recognized that Peter had been sent off on an errand by Jesus and he thus became in their eyes the #1 disciple and they all became very jealous of him because of this. They then got into an argument among themselves as to who was the
greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven. To these men at this time it was not a spiritual kingdom but a political one and they all wanted to be top dog in it. In their arguments among
themselves they became Antagonistic one to the other. The devolved their Jealousy and Pride into Emotional Antagonism. When they asked the Lord about who is the greatest, he puts a little child among them and uses the child as an illustration of what believers should be like.
He shows then that the greatest will be the one who uses the Faith Rest Drill (5 categories) properly in his life. These disciples who have become Antagonistic toward each other and who began to regard the others with them as rivals began to have their thinking filled with the Mental Attitude Arrogance of jealousy, envy, and hostility which drove them into the realm of Antagonism and overt Vindictiveness.
