What does renewing your mind mean?

Whether we're aware of it or not, we're all prey to false thinking.

This can typically start in childhood. We can receive false information about ourselves and/or others from family, friends, peers, teachers, etc., and without the life experience to discern what's true and what's not, we often internalize these distortions and they become the lenses through which we see the world as adults.

Renewing our minds is essentially changing out those warped lenses for a pair hand-crafted by God.

When we read Scripture, meditate on it, and (most importantly) live it, our worldview begins to change. We become aware of our wrong thinking and replace it with the truth of Scripture.
