Acknowledgments

I thank Jesus, my Lord and my God, for His grace in providing all of us with His teachings and revelations. I began to seek Him from childhood, as far back as I can remember, due

to trials and fears in my youth, because the world seemed to grow darker daily. Yet

neither a pastor, nor anyone else, could satisfactorily explain life. So, realizing that no

one has any real ability to find real truths, nor can anyone redeem themselves from their

own wretched conditions, God granted my soul the grace to realize that I have a spirit,

and He is a Spirit, and His Spirit counsels our spirits. So my spirit sought the Spirit of God, and His truths written in His creations, then also in His Word. Finally I began to

know our God Jesus as our wise Teacher and the perfect example of a Man.

Now Jesus teaches my spirit. His counsel is the only plenary wisdom, the only rational,

realistic hope for anyone’s future. Of course, I have only begun to know His truths and wisdom, and I can love better, but still have a long way to go. Yet He will complete my

education after my flesh dies. With this knowledge He reveals about life, He also gave us

His biblical prophecies about the last days, to provide a firm foundation of reliable hope,

which is also useful for living in the present, while preparing for the future. Before I began

to understand these prophecies, the future seemed bleak and meaningless. Yet, as

Jesus' Holy Spirit began to illuminate the meanings of His words to my spirit, I began to

see a definite purpose for life and death, even for all of history’s suffering in the flesh, as

well as the unfortunate need for the coming end-time horrors—to rebuke stubborn,

deadly, unrepentant, self-justified evils on earth. So, with all my heart, I thank Jesus for

letting me see what He has allowed my spirit to see.

For about 60 years now, I have read or heard many widely-varied interpretations of

biblical prophecies. Most were self-contradicting and irrational, rejecting the plain, literal, intended meanings of God’s words. With biases fed by a fear of the future, few dared to

honestly harmonize the Old and New Testament prophecies in a rational, candid way.

Instead, interpretations ignored, nullified or outright opposed God’s Word, with self-

promoting, financially rewarding, sensationalistic views. Still, some elements were helpful

in exposing the errors of other interpretations, and those contradictions caused me to

study His prophecies with more prayerful scrutiny. The result, over many decades, is this

literal translation of biblical prophecies about the last days, which includes all the times

from Jesus ascending into heaven until we also go to heaven for the judgment day.

Let me also acknowledge the works of C.H. Spurgeon and Francis Schaeffer, who both

taught Historic Premillennialism, the most ancient and literal interpretation of the

prophecies. They, and others, led me to abandon dispensationalism, with its false hope

of a pretribulation rapture. I thank them and others for waking me up to alternative

perspectives. Still, I also found them to be self-contradictory. We must always keep

turning to Jesus, who alone is wise. Each new generation must delve ever deeper into

the truths from Jesus’ Holy Spirit, since He is the only truly authoritative Teacher of all our

spirits, the only Source who can be fully trusted, not any other human being. More than

anyone else, we need Jesus’ Holy Spirit to rightly teach our spirits all His intended and

fully right interpretations of His words.

Lastly, let me add that the enduring love, grace, support and patience of my beautiful

wife, children, grandchildren, siblings, extended family members and dear friends

enabled me, either directly or indirectly, to do all my works. We all depend on God’s

people and His other creations to do all things. Without our loved ones, we can do

nothing. These relationships are God’s greatest and most helpful gifts for us all, and no

one can do any of God’s true works, or even survive, without His people. Then let us also

thank God for the freedoms and social possibilities He provides through good

governments too. For, without them, life would be hell. Now I am dying of cancer, and am

very excited about going home at last, to be filled with life. Thank God and bless you.
