Summary

This study of biblical eschatology harmonizes both the Old and New Testament prophecies regarding the “last days” (the times from Jesus’ first advent on) with a focus on the “end times” (the time of the world’s judgments just before Jesus returns). This is a literal interpretation (accepting Scriptures at face value and striving to convey God’s own intended meanings of His words). Therefore, it follows the doctrines of genuine Historic Premillennialism, taught by the apostolic and early church (i.e., not recent forms of Historic Premillennialism). This is the last book in my trilogy of theological works, which all attempt to reconstruct the original biblical faith, before the corruptions of various humanistic influences. By the way, I did not fully complete the first edition of this book before I returned to finish my other two books, about God’s Old and New Covenants. This edition pulled out the running notes from the Scriptures and is significantly edited, corrected and revised, as my final edition.

In the quotes from Bible versions, the underlining, bold print and italics are mine. Translations of God’s name, such as “the LORD,” are also frequently replaced with a literal translation in square brackets, as [Yahweh]. Personal pronouns referring to God are capitalized. Capitalization errors are corrected (e.g., “Spirit” is changed to “spirit” if it refers to a human spirit and not to God’s Spirit).

Biblical quotes are mostly from the English Standard Version (ESV), Copyright © 2001 by Crossway Bibles, a division of Good News Publishers, or else from the World English Bible (WEB), a 1997 public-domain revision of the American Standard Version of the Bible. A translation followed by the acronym “ALT,” is an Alternative Literal Translation by me, the author, Greg Supina.

The cover art is a digital copy of an acrylic painting called “Desert Storm,” by my brother, Nick Supina III. It depicts the fall of Satan at the beginning of time, when he was sent to his temporary imprisonment in the material universe and on earth. Satan is portrayed without inner parts, without a heart, as a loveless, incomplete but beautiful creation, as a storming, lifeless, desert spirit.
