God had also told them, through Micah, that they would be victorious over the enemies of God and the elect among them (4:13). A “horn” was a common biblical term referring to the power of a person or ruler. The “hoofs” would symbolize the soldiers of their land. Micah was again assuring the elect in Judah, the daughter of Zion or Jerusalem (here referring both Judah and Israel), that God would strengthen them to the point where they “will beat in pieces many peoples.” The Jews would overcome “many nations” who “defiled” and attacked them. They would do this at an unspecified time in the future, but this obviously refers to the end times. Then, under their God and King, the Messiah, all Jews would be redeemed, renewed and faithful to Yahweh. And, speaking in the name of the Messiah, God said: “I will devote their gain to Yahweh, and their substance to the Lord of the whole earth.” All the plunder of God’s enemies would go to the restoration of “the whole earth,” to the earth which God rightfully owned, after the psychopathic, demonic beast was utterly annihilated.

Israel would someday conquer all the lands ruled by Assyria in Micah’s day—which was an empire encompassing Babylon and many nations in the Middle East. Israel would destroy all its former invaders in the distant future, all the “many nations” whom Micah was alluding to here, including all four kingdoms of Babylon in the future, including the world-wide religious kingdom of Roman humanism. Micah was not only prophesying that Assyria would lay siege against Zion (Jerusalem), as they did in about 701 BC. He was also prophesying that another coalition of “many nations” will come against the Jews in the distant future. And he had just mentioned Babylon in Assyria as well.

But those other “many nations” would also fail to take Jerusalem, just as Assyria failed in 701 BC. Assyria could not take Jerusalem because God struck her army dead and caused their commander in chief, Sennacherib, who mocked God, to flee back to Nineveh. And once he was back in Nineveh, his own sons murdered him too (see II Kings, chapter 19), as a judgment of God for the vain and psychopathic thoughts of his spirit. So here Micah may have been prophesying that Sennacherib would mock God, or figuratively “strike the Judge of Israel on the cheek” (Micah 5:1, ESV). And, likewise, Micah was also prophesying about the future psychopathic invader, whom Daniel and John described as a “beast” with many nations as his allies, who would also lay siege on Jerusalem again, who would also “strike the Judge of Israel on the cheek,” by mocking the God of Israel, in the end times, just before Jesus returns. And that beast would also go home alone, would be cast alive into the pit of hell, just as Sennacherib went home to his self-made spiritual hell of Assyria. And there the beast would die the second death of his spirit, where his own family of demons would be his death.

Micah’s prophecy from God drew a bigger picture of events than Assyria’s attack on Judah. What Micah described is international, an event that affects the whole world and an event that will see Israel forever redeemed, made into a people who faithfully serve the real God and their land into a place of peace until the end of time. So Micah is prophesying about the end times here. Nevertheless, since it is God who will strike down those future troops in the end times, just as He struck down the troops of the Assyrians in 701 BC, God Himself will save the Jews from the beast’s army and his allies. Those Roman secular humanists who mock God will not stand in their arrogance forever, will not always deny that the God of the Bible owns the earth, because He designed and created our spirits’ perceptions of the material universe and all life in it. Someday they and their lies would end.

Therefore, this prophecy is not about Judah being strong warriors against the Assyrian empire in the past, since they were not strong. It is more about God strengthening all of Israel, all of the Jews in their land, against their enemies in recent times, and against the beast in the future. But, although God has made Israel powerful enough to defend herself against recent enemies, Israel has never truly devoted much of anything to God, neither after God destroyed Sennacherib, nor in recent times. So Israel remains apostate, and has not yet repented as a nation, and has not yet become faithful to their God. Israel will only begin to inwardly worship God, in their spirits and in truth, then devote all the spoils of her victories to the service of God, in the future, after their God Jesus returns to them and destroys their international enemies Himself, through His own wrath against them, and by His own power. Only after this will the Jews repent into the truth about themselves and about their God Jesus.

Shortly after the era of the sixth seal, Muslim nations in the former Assyrian lands, and in Egypt, will convert to Christianity and become truly Christian nations. Those Gentiles will abandon their humanistic religion of class systems and the worship of human gods. But there will not yet be any increased faithfulness to the real Yahweh God in Israel, not until God has brought all the elect Gentiles of the earth into His priesthood of Israel. Still, the Jews will rebuild the temple which was destroyed twice by Babylon, by its first and its fourth kingdoms. And Gentile true Christians will go to that temple to hear God’s Law and discuss its meaning with the Jews, so the Gentiles will learn more about how Jesus fulfills that Law in them and through them, and so that the Jews will learn more about their Savior and God Jesus. But Israel has not truly repented at any time since the days of the Assyrian captivity. So this prophecy still has not been fulfilled to this day. But it will be fulfilled.

This prophecy is clearly about a future time, when Jerusalem will be under siege, when the beast’s armies and the armies of his allies attack Israel, then surround Jerusalem, but meet their doom from the hand of God, when Jesus returns. And this is confirmed by the prophecies about the Messiah, when God declared: “Now muster your troops, O daughter of troops; siege is laid against us [i.e., the Jews]: with a rod they strike the Judge of Israel on the cheek. But you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah, who are too little to be among the clans of Judah, from you shall come forth for Me One who is to be Ruler in Israel, whose coming forth is from old, from ancient days. Therefore, He shall give them up until the time when she who is in labor has given birth; then the rest of His brothers shall return to the people of Israel [i.e., to the land of Israel] And He shall stand and shepherd His flock in the strength of Yahweh, in the majesty of the name of Yahweh His God. And they shall dwell secure, for now He shall be great to the ends of the earth. And He shall be their peace” (Micah 5:1-5a, ESV). So the Messiah will first come to Bethlehem, to serve Yahweh as the “Ruler of Israel,” as their God who is “from ancient days,” an expression that Daniel later borrowed and applied to both the Messiah and Yahweh God (Dan. 7:9,13,22). But He “shall give [Israel] up until the time when she is in labor and has given birth,” that is, until the fulness of Gentile elect have been “born” from her and her spiritual Savior, the Messiah. After that, their Messiah will bring “the rest of His brothers” in the Diaspora

back to Israel, to the Jews who are already in Israel. Then their Messiah will stay to “shepherd His flock in the strength of Yahweh,” who dwells inside Him, who is the God of His body of flesh. And He will not only rule Israel, but “shall be great to the ends of the earth,” bringing security and peace to Israel and to the entire world. If we interpret this sensibly, in harmony with all Scriptures, this is exactly what God is saying. And there can be no other truly rational and reasonable interpretation.

This is obviously a Messianic prophecy and God’s faithful elect have always interpreted it as such. Micah was a contemporary of Isaiah. And every time Israel felt deep distress, there was an increase of interest by both prophets in the salvation coming to Israel through the promised Messiah. Thus, both Micah and Isaiah asked God about their Messiah during this time of Israel’s vile sins and her imminent invasion. And, they both received an answer from God, then recorded what God revealed to them about the Messiah. Here Micah called the Messiah Yahweh, the “Ruler/King” or “Judge” of Israel, the same titles he gave to Yahweh Himself. For only God is the Ruler, King and Judge of Israel. And Micah also called the Messiah one “whose origin is from old, from ancient days,” which can only refer to Yahweh God, since no human had an “origin” or “beginning” in this way. The Spirit of Yahweh God would be the Spirit of life in the human body of the Messiah, the Spirit who created all time and was never created in time, who had no beginning or “origin” except in our perceptions of created time. Only the humans that Yahweh created know Him from “ancient days,” from the God whose “origin” or beginning in their lives “is from old, from ancient days.” So the Messiah is God.

Our God and Messiah was created as Person of God to relate to His heavenly and earthly creations, as the “Word” or expression of God to humans and all life in heaven and on earth. So, “in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him. Without Him, nothing was made that has been made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men” (John 1:1-4, WEB). The Messiah Jesus, God’s one Spirit in a body made of spiritual substances, who could easily become a body made of less solid earthly substances, already existed in the beginning, before time began, before either the spiritual or material space-time continuums were created. So He existed outside of time.

And, to this day, God still exists outside of time, allowing Him to be in all places at the same time, and able to enter His created times, which His “hands” maintain. So God can relate to all of His creations as three Persons at the same time. But, in particular, God desired to communicate with His elect human children as their Creator and Father who watches over them and loves them, but also as His Word who teaches them and as the chief Counsellor of their spirits inside the chambers of their souls. And God came in a body of flesh, as Yahweh God, even to the first human beings, to the first creatures who ever became aware of good and evil, that is, to the first who could know God. So we must admit that no human being could be called one “whose origin is from old, from ancient days.”

Thus, the Messiah revealed in this prophecy through Micah must be the human body of Yahweh, who comes as a “Brother” to the Jews. For Yahweh took a body in the very beginning, and walked in the garden with Adam and Eve. And only God’s body—the Person of God who walked on earth from the moment of our creation, to share the material perceptions of our spirits—was created, and had an “origin” before all else. Yet here Micah also prophesied that this created body would be come to us at sometime from Bethlehem Ephrathah, but give up Israel “until” another time, then save Israel and restore her, bringing all the Messiah’s “brothers” back to Israel. Because it is impossible for created time to limit God’s actions, and time is a line that He can see and enter at any point, the body of God could be born long after it walked in the garden with Adam, long after it walked with Abraham, long after it ate with and touched the bodies of mortal humans in times of the distant past. And God, as the Messiah, could also come to earth again, at any future time as well, in His timeless body of flesh.

By the way, since there were several places called Bethlehem (meaning, “House of Bread”) in Micah’s day, he specified that the Messiah would be born in the Bethlehem located in the area of Ephrathah, which was named after people descended from Ephrathah (meaning “fruitful”), who was the wife of Caleb, a people who lived in Bethlehem near Jerusalem. This was a place allotted to the Gentile Caleb’s adopted tribe of Judah, although nearby Jerusalem was granted to the tribe of Benjamin. And this particular Bethlehem was also the birthplace of David, the king of Israel, from whom the flesh of Messiah was prophecied to be a descendant. Then, according to the Gospels, this was indeed the place where Jesus was born. Furthermore, both the father and the mother of Jesus were descendants of David. This we know as a certainty, since the claims of the ancestry of Jesus were never disputed, not even by His worst enemies. For the first thing His opponents would have done, to refute the prophecies that He was the Messiah, would have been to use the genealogical records in the temple, to prove that He was not a descendant of David, since everyone knew the Messiah had to be David’s descendant. Yet the temple records obviously proved the opposite, that Jesus was indeed the true heir of David’s throne. And, at that time, His genealogical records still existed in the Temple. For those records were not destroyed until Rome burned them in AD 70. And no one ever disputed that Jesus had been born in Bethlehem either, so He surely was born there.

“Zion” is a term alluding to the presence of Yahweh God upon either the nation of Israel, or the city of Jerusalem, or Jerusalem’s Temple Mount, or the temple itself, to rule over all the Jews. So “Zion” indicates the priesthood or church of Israel. Thus, the “daughter of Zion” would refer to a generation of the church of Israel existing at some specific time, either in the past, present or in the future. Her “daughter” would include all the elect Jews in both Judah and Israel, the entire priesthood of God.

Now, when Micah prophesied about the Assyrian invasion of 722 BC, God said, “O daughter of Zion … now you shall go out … you shall go to Babylon” (4:10). And, at that time, Babylon was a great Assyrian city, but Nineveh was actually Assyria’s capital city, a larger and more mighty city than Babylon. So why did God say He would send a generation of Jews from both Judah and Israel to “Babylon” in Assyria, into captivity? Actually, this was a prophecy about Babylon rising up to take over the Assyrian Empire, and how it would then come to take captive all of Judah and Israel, forcing the whole church of Israel to “dwell” in its lands. But this would not occur in Micah’s day, when only the northern tribes of Israel would be taken into Assyria. This would occur more than a hundred years later. So, through Micah’s prophecy, God was telling the Jews of Israel to wait in Assyria for the rest of the Jews from the southern tribes of Judah, since they too would join them in that land later, when Babylon became the ruling empire in the region. Of course, there were also Jews from the norther tribes of Israel in Judah, some who fled to Judah in previous times of religious persecution and some who fled there when the Assyrians attacked in Micah’s day. But, in the end, Babylon would take over Assyria, then force God’s entire church of Israel into Gentile captivity.

So, when Assyria invaded Israel in about 722 BC, they took most of the Jewish people in the northern tribes of Israel to Nineveh and other parts of the Assyrian Empire, possibly some to the city of Babylon as well. Then, more than a hundred years later, Babylon became the dominant power and took Judah into captivity, but into the same places that Assyria took the northern tribes more than a hundred years previously. So the entire “daughter of Zion” lived in that same region, the whole of the Jewish Diaspora at the same time. There were no “lost tribes of Israel” when the Assyrian city of Babylon took the southern tribes of Judah into the same lands that the previous Assyrians took the northern tribes. Also, there were representatives from all the northern tribes of Israel in Judah when Babylon took Judah into captivity into the same region. Rather, there was one “daughter of Zion” in the Assyrian lands, and all the elect worshipers of Yahweh God from both Judah and Israel would

have intermingled and become one people, with the former enmity between Israel and Judah having been long forgotten. For God declared that Judah would not be conquered by the Assyrians from Nineveh, but by the Assyrians from Babylon, at an unspecified time after he made this prophecy.

The Babylonian captivity, or the scattering of the Jewish people into the Diaspora, exists to this day. For only about a third of the Jews returned to Israel in the days of Cyrus, during the time of the second empire of the beast, when Persia became the dominant power over the Jewish people. So two thirds of the “daughter of Zion” remained captive in Persia, then in the subsequent two Babylonian kingdoms of Greece and Rome, when they took over the region and God’s church of Israel. And this was because the Jews never truly repented. In Micah’s time, the people of Judah and Israel were both praying for Yahweh’s deliverance from the Assyrians. But Micah told them that God would not heed their prayers. Instead, God would hand them over to the ruthless, idol-worshipping, Gentile enemies who had corrupted their worship. For the church of Israel adopted the traditions of those pagans, the false doctrines originating from Assyria’s pagan gods. This began with Israel’s kings in Samaria, but also spread into Judah as well. In Micah’s day, both Judah and Israel paid false prophets to prophesy peace and safety for them, but refused to hear the true prophets sent by God, since God’s faithful servants were asking for humbling and costly repentance, while the false prophets told the people that they were all fine, and would remain comfy and prosperous in their sinful, unjust, pagan ways.

Both Israel and Judah had become very spiritually corrupt and unjust. They trampled the poor, spoke lies and acted deceitfully, allowed judges and rulers to take bribes and pervert justice, let the rich steal the inheritances of those who did not possess the power to fight against them, and drove out families from their ancestral homes. They became as bad as the pagan Assyrians, even almost as bad as North American preachers and politicians who support Trump in our day. In other words, Judah and Israel had become what God called spiritual “prostitutes,” those who claimed to worship God while also worshipping false gods, a false church whose hearts remained totally unfaithful to God.

Since God’s church of Israel and Judah became almost as bad as churches are today, God was forced to hand those unrepentant unjust rebels over to the demonic rulers they loved. God cast them off, refused to protect them from their enemies, allowed many to die, and sent the survivors into a hard captivity, just as He is doing with false churches today. For the sake of His name, He had no choice but to annihilate the filthy church, since they took His name and slandered it. They claimed to worship Him while they lied about Him and His ways, then fell into every kind of evil under the sun.

Nevertheless, after Israel and Judah went into captivity, God promised to deliver them. At some time in the future, the “daughter of Zion” would have its “former dominion” and kingdom (4:8), and she would “beat in pieces many peoples” who attacked her (4:13). After they were humbled, they would begin to learn that God’s just, equitable and loving ways are best. Their spirits would begin to heed the Holy Spirit of the real God, and ignore the false doctrines and traditions of men and demons.

God’s prophecies often took sudden leaps between the past, present and future, as though all the past, present and future times existed simultaneously in His mind, which is true. So God rebuked Israel’s current sins in some verses, then suddenly announced her future deliverance, but quickly returned to His rebukes after that. God spoke about Israel’s imminent Assyrian invasion just after He comforted her, after assuring that He would rescue her with His own hands in the future. And God seemed to do this because He knew their sins would be repeated over and over again throughout history. As soon as God gave a bright light of truth to them, they fled from it, and zealously ran towards whatever dark, carnally appealing lie they could find. Churches have always assumed that destroying darkness will save them from God’s saving light, and that His saving light will destroy

them. It is always “opposite day” for the church, since they reject what they need most and embrace whatever kills them. For they let their unruly, stupid flesh bully and suppress their weak, dull spirits.

Now, although God used Assyria to punish Israel back in Micah’s day, it was not because Assyria was more righteous than Israel. However, their sins were not as bad as Israel’s sins. For Assyria knew nothing about the just and loving ways of the true God, their Creator. But Israel did, yet committed the same injustices and sins as Assyria. Nor did Assyria know what God was doing to Israel through them, when God handed Israel over to them as a punishment. For the Assyrians actually thought their demon gods had sent them to overcame the God of Israel. And this was partly true. For their demonic gods did control them and send them to conquer Israel, but only after God allowed those demons to make Assyria powerful and able to conquer Israel, and after God also commanded those trembling demons to punish His apostate church. The Assyrians themselves had no idea that the God of Israel would hand His own people over to them as a form of His discipline. Besides, Assyrians, like all pagans in history, assumed they could manipulate their demon gods with bribes and acts of service, even as those demons actually manipulated every thought and action of those dupes. So those Assyrians were totally ignorant and, therefore, not as culpable for their sins.

Still, as the Assyrians and their subsequent kingdoms of Babylon, Persia, Greece and Rome gained contact with God’s church of Israel, God used some of the elect in His church to reveal more and more of His truths to them, many just principles from His Word interpreted by His Holy Spirit. Of course, His church remained stupid and apostate, so God kept them in captivity. Yet God did indeed overcome and pour His truths into the spirits of many elect from that very sinful and lying church.

So the Gentiles began to hear and understand God’s ways, which made them more culpable for their sins, because they no longer sinned in complete ignorance. And this is what God intended from the beginning, since Israel was to serve the entire world, not just themselves. Eventually, the fourth religious kingdom from Babylon took over the entire world, and the dominant religion of the entire world order became demonic Roman humanism, but while God’s truths also spread throughout the world. So individuals in the world drew ever closer to a time of decision, when all had to choose either God’s just and loving truths or Satan’s lies. For God could not justly destroy Assyria and her evil subsequent kingdoms, which now rule the entire world, not until all make that choice. All who did not choose God’s truths became entirely culpable for their sins, and could then justly receive God’s punishment. So only after all the elect Gentiles chose to live by God’s truths, through God’s saving power, and separated from all the non-elect Gentiles, could God destroy Satan’s world order which perfected its evil ways through the kingdoms of Assyria, Babylon, Persia, Greece and Rome. Then God will also free the captive Jews of His natural Israel from their captivity. And God will not complete this entire process until the days of the beast in the end times, when He will return to utterly destroy Satan’s kingdom built through Assyria and Babylon, and rule over the whole world.

All pagans always engaged in a very conditional relationship with their false gods, just as most false churches do with their own invented “gods” today. But the real God is not like pagan gods, who are actually the loveless fallen angels that we now call demons. Our God unconditionally loves all His elect children and never forsakes them, although He disciplines their spirits by causing trouble for their temporary flesh. So, throughout history, God actually commanded His faithful servants to hand every stubbornly unrepentant elect sinner in His church of Israel over to Satan, “for the destruction of the flesh, so that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord” (I Cor. 5:5). Of course, it was actually God who handed over those unrepentant elect to Satan for the deluding and destruction of their flesh. And those whom He commanded to do say this had no power to do so. But, as His more faithful elect said this, they acknowledged their separation from the lies and sins of the unrepentant

elect, and turned their spirits away from them, towards God. And this is exactly what God was doing when He handed the flesh of the sinning church of Israel over to a demonic people, to the Assyrians who invented the false doctrines and unjust ways that Israel was practicing while she was pretended to worship God. It did not mean that God had forever forsaken the Jews of Israel, but only that He was temporarily punishing their flesh, “so that [their spirits] may be saved in the day of the Lord.” And that “day of the Lord” shall be either the final judgment day or the day when Jesus will return.

Still, while God was temporarily punishing the flesh of His elect in Israel, He was also gathering the non-elect in Assyria, and in her subsequent four kingdoms, “as sheaves to the threshing floor,” for a permanent destruction in hell. And her non-elect brood of Satan, who loved the lie of pretending they were gods because they hated the just and loving truths of God, sealed their own doom when God gave Israel into their hands. For God placed Israel among them so He could reveal His truths among them and all the Gentiles of the world. Then those truths would pull the elect out from among them, into Israel, and remove any excuse of ignorance from the non-elect who remained in Satan’s world order. This would make all those non-elect entirely culpable for their lies and sins, ready for their judgment and eternal punishment. In the end, God would remove Satan’s entire world order from the earth, all the evil which the devil had perfected through Assyria and her subsequent four kingdoms.

From their capital city of Nineveh, Assyria had once heard the Word of God through His prophet Jonah, and Assyria even repented to God for a time. But they soon turned back to their psychopathic demon gods. So God punished Assyria by granting her all the worldly power and wealth she desired from her demon gods, along with all the demonic delusions that accompanied this. Then God further cast Assyria into the punishing empty darkness of her self-destructive delusions, by commanding her demon gods to take His church of Israel into her lands as her captive. For God was about to flay that pagan land and beat her gods down like stalks of grain on a threshing floor, through His faithful elect agents in His church of Israel. As God revealed His truths in Assyria and her four kingdoms, they grew worse and worse. Then God also sent plagues of many kinds to Assyria and her four kingdoms after that. God even punished Assyria by allowing her fourth kingdom of Rome to conquer the entire world, but only to reap a harvest of divisions, betrayals, wars, rebellions, deaths by greed, deaths by God’s creations, and deaths by her own insane delusions. Then, in the end times, during the eras of the sixth and seventh seals, God will send His final and most deadly plagues upon her, until she and her four kingdoms become dust in the wind. In the meantime, God will pull every elect souls out of her before that day, leaving her with none but the useless, deluded non-elect she esteemed so highly.

This prophecy said the Messiah and Ruler of Israel would be born in Bethlehem at a time when God would “give up” Israel (5:2-3). And the word “therefore” (laken, an adjective meaning “so, thus, therefore”) is found in the clause where God said He would “give them up.” So it was to be as a consequence or result of the Messiah’s birth that God would hand Israel over to the “many nations” whom He previously prophesied about. Because the Messiah would be born, God “would give them up.” Israel would be taken captive by their enemy after the Messiah’s birth, in the same way as she was in Micah’s day. For Israel would remain just as sinful in the days of the coming Messiah as well.

That is the implication. Of course, this prophecy of future captivity was fulfilled after Jesus’ first advent. Rome destroyed Jerusalem in AD 70, then expelled the Jews from their promised land and sent them into captivity among the Gentile lands in about AD 135. Then, not long after Babylon rose out of Assyria to destroy Jerusalem and take Judah captive, Daniel prophesied that it would be the fourth kingdom out of Babylon, the Roman beast’s kingdom, that would take Israel captive, as per Micah’s prophecy made more than a century earlier. Micah also prophesied that the future captivity would last “until [or “up to” or “while,” from the Hebrew preposition ad] the time when she who is in labour

has given birth.” So, allowing for the word order in the Hebrew text, this suggests that another event also would occur during the time of the fourth Roman kingdom, which would be this: “then the rest of [the Messiah’s] brothers shall return to the people of Israel” (5:3), when the Messiah would rule or shepherd His flock “in the strength of Yahweh” (5:4). Thus, it is not as clear in Micah’s prophecy, but, like Daniel’s prophecy, it also implies that the last kingdom arising out of Assyria and Babylon, which is the Roman Empire, would exist until the Messiah begins to rule in Israel and returns all the Jews from the captive Diaspora back to their land in Israel. And this would occur in the end times.

Some time after the birth of the Messiah, Israel would go into a captivity related to Assyria and Babylon, and to the four kingdoms that grew out of Babylon, the four whom Daniel prophesied about. So, for time, Israel would not exist as a nation on the world’s maps, not as a recognized state with a land of its own. But later, because their Messiah was to return to rule their land, Israel would become a legitimate recognized nation again, with her own land. Then, after becoming a nation with her own land again, and after the Messiah began to shepherd the Jews in that land, He would bring His “brothers” back “to the people of Israel.” In context, these “brothers” of the Messiah would be those whom God was addressing in this prophecy, that is, the Jews in His original and natural Israel, not the Gentiles He would later graft into the Messiah’s tribe of Judah during the Jewish captivity.

Remember, in the days of Micah, Judah and Israel were separated and had even warred against one another. So this is a brief and cryptic way of saying that Judah and Israel would be a united nation again, in the future, sometime after Israel God handed them over to captivity. This prophecy through Micah indicates that, at an unspecified time after Israel is a nation again, the Messiah “shall stand and shepherd His flock in the strength of Yahweh, in the majesty of the name of Yahweh His God.” This time of the Messiah’s rule will be when Israel’s strength is from Yahweh. And, from other prophecies, it will come just after a time God previously mentioned, when He told the Jews that He would “make your horn iron,” and would “make your hoofs bronze,” when Israel “shall beat in pieces many peoples” (4:13). So the Messiah’s shepherding in God’s loving and just righteousness would come after a time of war, after Israel became a nation again, and after God made Israel able to defeat their enemies. Their apostate ways would only end after the Messiah came to redeem them.

The elect Jews would become righteous and faithful enough to serve in the name of Yahweh after the Messiah began to shepherd them, although God would first make them into a recognized nation with their own land first, and also grant those Jews enough power to keep their nation from being taken captive once more by their enemies. If we harmonize God’s prophecy through Micah with His other end-time prophecies, this time of Israel’s redemption must refer to the millennium after the Messiah returns. For only during the millennium shall the Messiah “be great to the ends of the earth” and all of Israel “shall dwell secure,” because the Messiah “shall be their peace” (5:4b). But, before that millennium begins, Israel was to have multiple wars ending with the invasions by the Roman beast.

Much of this prophecy through Micah is about the future Messianic times, and the millennium of the Messiah’s rule on earth. But Micah was also saying that, before the Messiah comes to rule Israel, there would be a time “When the Assyrian comes into our land and treads in our palaces, then we will raise against him seven shepherds and eight princes of men; they shall shepherd the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod at its entrances; and He shall deliver us from the Assyrian when he comes into our land and treads within our border. Then the remnant of Jacob shall be in the midst of many people like dew from Yahweh, like showers on the grass, which delay not for a man. And the remnant of Jacob shall be among the nations, in the midst of many peoples, like a lion among the beasts of the forest, like a young lion among the flocks of sheep, which, when it goes through, treads down and tears in pieces, and there is none to deliver. over your adversaries, and all your enemies shall be cut off” (Micah 5:5-9, ESV). So, at sometime after Assyria’s invasion in the eighth century BC, and after Israel becomes a nation again, Israel will “rise against” Assyria. That is, in the end times, Israel was to engage in a war with Assyria, with the nations that the ancient Assyrian Empire once ruled in Micah’s day, which now includes most of the Middle East; all of Egypt in the east to much of Iran in the west, and from the Arabian desert in the south almost up to the Caucasus Mountains in the north, including parts of Turkey. And, when this occurred, Israel would defeat those Assyrian lands. After this, the Messiah and peace would come.

During this time of war against Assyria, Israel was to “raise against him seven shepherds and eight princes of men.” These would refer to “shepherds” who build up the health of the flock of Israel, and “princes” who lead them into war. And both would be what we would call prime ministers today. Yet Israel has now (in 2025) had 14 different prime ministers since it became a nation in 1948 (i.e., some served multiple terms), plus one acting prime minister. But seven “shepherds” plus eight “princes” adds up to only fifteen. So this suggests that the end times, after Israel’s war with Assyria, will begin very soon. In the meantime, Israel has indeed been a “shepherd” that built up “the land of Assyria with the sword,” with implements of war. Through much violence, the former territory of Assyria has developed and modernized, while Israel did “deliver” their people “from the Assyrian” when he came into their land and tread within their border. Also, “the remnant of Jacob” in Israel today is “in the midst of many peoples” or ethnic groups, and has been beneficial to the region, in terms of making agricultural lands fertile and productive. Israel’s presence has been “like dew from Yahweh,” like rain “showers” which “delay not for a man, nor wait for the children of man.” That is, the Jews coming to Israel did not depend on the wills of human beings, but returned through God’s will alone.

Since Israel became a nation again, it has been “like a lion among the beasts of the forest, like a young lion among the flocks of sheep, which, when it goes through, treads down and tears in pieces, and there is none to deliver” (5:8). Israel’s “hand” has been “lifted up” over her “adversaries,” and soon all her “enemies shall be cut off.” But after that, Egypt and those former Assyrian lands will turn to Yahweh, to the real Creator of all existence, to Messiah Jesus of Israel. Egypt and all those Assyrian lands will become strong allies of Israel during the end times; likely after the revival of God’s true church during the sixth seal’s era, and definitely long before the Roman beast rises to power. Then Yahweh in the physical body of the Messiah will come to His Jewish “brothers” in the land of Israel, and to the Gentiles whom He has grafted into her priesthood. And our God Jesus will purge the world of all the evils which secular Assyria and her Satanic child of Babylon, including the empires of Persia, Greece and Rome which sprouted from Babylon, had vomited upon God’s earth.

Before the day their God and Messiah Jesus returns, Israel will still be a sinful nation. They will not be His true loving, just and equitable priesthood until after the day He sets His feet on the Mount of Olives and enters their temple. Yes, Jesus will bring some Jews back to their land before He returns, but not all His Jewish “brothers,” not yet. And those first Jews will establish the land of Israel again and build the temple. God will also allow those sinful Jews to succeed in their war with Assyria and Babylon’s four kingdoms. But some of those apostate Jews will even side with the demonic Roman beast in the end times. So God will bring that fascist beast’s international armies into the land of Israel just before He returns, and those humanistic armies will kill many Jews in Israel, destroying almost the whole land, until a remnant of Jews retreat to make their last stand in the Jerusalem area.

Therefore, God told Israel: “And in that day, declares Yahweh, I will cut off your horses from among you and will destroy your chariots [or the equivalent of armored vehicles of our time], and I will cut off the cities of your land and throw down all your strongholds; and I will cut off sorceries from your hand [i.e., “sorceries” involved believing that one could make happen whatever one willed to occur, as humanists often

teach in our day], and you shall have no more tellers of fortunes [or “soothsayers” who lie to comfort their dupes about the future times]; and I will cut off your carved images and your pillars from among you [things used to esteem and worship “gods,” including human “gods”], and you shall bow down no more to the work of your hands; and I will root out your Asherah images [a goddess called Ishtar in Assyria, said to be the wife of Yahweh blasphemously, a mother of other gods, very much like statues of Mary in false churches] from among you and destroy your cities. And in anger and wrath I will execute vengeance on the nations that did not obey” (Micah 5:10-15, ESV). So, on the day our God and Messiah Jesus returns, He will first allow the demonic beast to destroy much of Israel. In the process, He will remove all that is evil and all the non-elect Jews from Israel, leaving only elect Jews who will repent into the truths about Him and His just, loving ways. At the same time, Jesus will remove all non-elect Gentiles, all who did not repent in the end times, from all the nations of the world through His power and His wrath.

The future final beast is descended from Babylon in Assyria. And that beast will attack Israel’s palaces again in the future, just as Assyria and Babylon did in ancient times. When that future beast enters the land of Israel, our God and Messiah will destroy him and deliver Israel. But it was also our God who caused the destruction of apostate Israel, when Assyria and Babylon attacked, because Israel had adopted the idols and traditions of Assyria and Babylon. And it will also be our God Jesus who will cause the future Roman beast’s destruction of apostate Israel. For Israel adopted the beast’s humanistic ways, and will not repent from this until Jesus returns in the end times. The final Roman beast is Babylon and Babylon is Assyria. Assyria, Babylon, Persia, Greece and Rome are one enemy of God and God’s ways, not multiple enemies. And that one entity will always be His enemies, since they will always be Satanic wanna-be gods in their brutal, discriminatory hierarchies enslaving men.

When the beast comes, Israel will raise up their armies against him, but the beast will overcome Israel and destroy their cities, strongholds and military might. Yet the beast will not entirely succeed, since the Jews will retreat to Jerusalem and hold up there. Then the power and wrath of their God and Messiah will stop the beast’s invasion and crush him to dust. Yes, Israel’s power will nullify the beast’s first invasion, which will occur at the beginning of His seven-year reign. Shortly after that beast withdraws his troops, after about three and a half years, Israel will free themselves from him. But the beast’s second invasion with his international armies, at the end of his seven-year reign, will destroy most of Israel, and he will stand victorious on the hills over Armageddon. Then the Messiah, not Israel, will defeat that Roman beast during this second invasion, and remove all the non-elect Jews and Gentiles everywhere on earth, with all their lies, leaving only purified elect Jews in Israel.

At the current time, some Jews have returned to Israel before the Messiah Jesus will bring back the rest of the Jews in the Diaspora to Israel. For, just as the prophecies say, some Jews must first return to build up the land, oppose her enemies and build God’s temple in Jerusalem. Then Israel will “raise up seven shepherds and eight princes” who “shall shepherd the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod [a reference to Assyria’s vanquished military might] at its entrances” (5:5-6, ESV). So Israel’s chosen representatives will govern or “shepherd” the surrounding former Assyrian lands, to nourish their people. But they will also govern “with the sword,” meaning with deadly force against criminals, if necessary. Likewise, Israel’s “shepherds” and “princes” will sit at the “entrances,” at the gates of enemy cities, as judges and rulers of their enemies, as authorities who control all that comes in or goes out of those enemy cities, who make final decisions in all kinds of disputes. And Israel has already essentially become this kind of dominant authority in the lands that once belonged to ancient Assyria, both promoting agriculture as a “shepherd” and wielding the sword as a “prince” and judge.

But, after Jesus returns, the “remnant of Jacob,” the elect Jews whom God will cause to survive and serve as special priests of the Messiah Jesus during the millennium, also will be sent out to many

places on earth in those days. And they will also “shepherd” for the good of the people and judge as “princes,” even with the “sword.” However, they will do so with much more wisdom and knowledge of God’s loving, just, equitable ways. For then the only Head of each Jewish man who is sent out will be the Messiah, Jesus, his God. Not one of these priests will answer to any human authority, only to Jesus, their Messiah and God. They will “delay not for a man nor wait for the children of man” when they go out to do their works, for they will be told what they are to do by Jesus. There will be no hierarchy of human authorities nor any kind of virtual or actual slavery anywhere on the earth. Thus, there will be no delay in any decisions of these elect Jews whom the Messiah sends out.

When Jesus returns, He will not rule like other human rulers, since Jesus is God. So Jesus will be like He is now. He will know all the motives and intentions of all the spirits in all human beings on earth, and all that is done on earth. And He will directly counsel the spirits of His Jewish and Gentile elders through His omnipresent Holy Spirit inside the chambers of their hearts and souls. So each elder’s spirit will hear directly and instantly from Jesus, from their only Head and their only Lord. Each will know exactly what the Messiah Jesus wants him to say or to do at the very moment that each faces any kind of problem or needs to make any kind of decision. So all the elders will judge rightly through a just, equitable love for all involved. And their judgments will be upheld by the almighty power of their omnipotent God Jesus. True and loving justice will be done in all the earth.

But the well-taught Jewish elders will bear a special authority and power in all the nations during the millennium, as the hosts of the Gentiles coming to our God Jesus, as His disciples who hear Him and serve Him daily in Jerusalem itself. So, when they act in Christ’s name, those Jewish elders will not dare to let their minds of flesh interfere with His will. And Jesus will support their submission to His will with all His power, so none will be able to oppose them. But this certainly will not be a source of pride for them. For those Jewish elders will realize that none of their power or authority comes from their own flesh or spirits, so none of it belong to them, and cannot be a source of pride. Since all will come from their God Jesus, they will give all esteem and praise to Jesus, and to Him alone.

Neither the Jewish nor Gentile elders chosen by Jesus will be able to serve their personal desires, since the only power and authority they will posses shall come from Jesus, their God. And they will only be granted the power to do God’s works according to His will. Whatever they say or do will be exactly what God commands their spirits to say or do through their flesh. They will know that not even their own bodies belong to themselves. Their souls, both their spirits and their flesh, had bee bought with the price that Jesus paid on the cross, and belong to Him, as His property obligated to serve His will alone. And the faith of their spirits will trust Jesus to care for all their spiritual and physical needs, to provide all that is truly best for them. So they will faithfully, honestly and humbly serve Jesus as His true priests. They will obey Christ’s loving, just will, not their weak wills of flesh.

Thus, if these elders become friends with a man, they will not show that man any favor, but will judge him without partiality, in the name of their Messiah and God. Or, if they grow angry with another man, they will not treat that man unjustly either, to pervert the course of justice. Instead, the elder will even bless the man he is angry with, if God commands it. And none of the elect Gentiles will fear these elders themselves, but will fear only our God Jesus. So any elect soul will be free to rebuke any lie or sin of any elder, and will even bear a duty to do so. And Jesus will empower that soul to do so effectively. But, even so, all the elders sent by Jesus will love those who rebuke them, as their beloved siblings in the family of the heavenly Father. This time of the millennium is coming soon. The first rays of its light are already shining through some of His elect on earth, who seek to do God’s will on earth as it is done in heaven, as it will be done in the millennium. The end times of the sixth and seventh eras, then the seven trumpets and the day He arrives, will accomplish all this.

Nahum 1:7-15 (ESV): “[Yahweh] is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; He know those

who take refuge in Him. But with an overflowing flood He will make a complete end of the

adversaries, and will pursue His enemies into darkness. What do you [this is addressing Nineveh]

plot against [Yahweh]? He [God] will make a complete end; trouble will not rise up a second

time. For they are like entangled thorns, like drunkards as they drink; they are consumed like

stubble fully dried. From you came one who plotted evil against [Yahweh], a worthless

counselor. Thus says [Yahweh], ‘Though they are at full strength and many, they will be cut

down and pass away. Though I have afflicted you [here God addresses Israel], I will afflict you

no more . And now I will break his yoke from off you and will burst your bonds apart .’

[Yahweh] has given commandment about you: [this is now a command about Nineveh and Assyria.]

‘No more shall your name be perpetuated; from the house of your gods I will cut off the

carved image and the metal image. I will make your grave, for you are vile.’ Behold, upon

the mountains, the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace! Keep your

feasts, O Judah; fulfill your vows, for never again shall the worthless pass through you; he is

utterly cut off.”

Nahum penned this prophecy against Nineveh, the capital city of Assyria, sometime after about 663 BC, but before Babylon conquered Nineveh in 612 BC. And God gave Nahum this prophecy a full generation, more than 60 years, after Nineveh and the Assyrians had repented into the just truths of God through Jonah’s preaching in about 725 BC. At that time, God said this to Jonah: “Shouldn’t I be concerned for Nineveh, that great city, in which are more than one hundred twenty thousand persons who can’t discern between their right hand and their left hand, and also many animals?” (Jonah 4:11, WEB). So God, through His concern for the Assyrians, sent Jonah on a mission to help those Gentiles, from their king in Nineveh to the commoner in the far corners of that land, to discern between right and wrong. Jonah was to do the work of a priest for the Assyrians, since God created Israel for this purpose, to be a priesthood for the entire world. And Assyria’s repentance was for yet another purpose of God. Assyria then invaded the apostate northern tribes of Israel in about 722 BC, just a few years after their repentance, and deported about 30,000 Jews from Israel into their lands.

So, for more than a full generation before Nahum wrote down this prophecy, a large population of Jews from the northern tribes, Jews who had turned against their God, dwelt among Assyrians who had recently repented to Yahweh, the God of Israel. And this must have caused those apostate Jews to rethink their lack of faith in God and His words. Those Jews in Assyria likely established Jewish communities in Assyria that became more faithful to Yahweh and His Law. But the city state of Babylon in Assyria had risen up since the days of Jonah. And Babylon likely still had a few residual memories of Yahweh’s laws and ways floating among its people, since God’s ways would have been spread throughout Assyria. But, obviously, the rulers in both Assyria and Babylon had long forgotten Yahweh, and had long since rebelled against God. Likewise, the southern tribes of Israel in Judah had also forgotten God and His ways. Judah even syncretized Babylonian traditions with teachings from God’s Word, and some Jews were outright worshiping the demon gods of Babylon. Then, in this prophecy from Nahum, God proclaimed that He was about to use Babylon to destroy Nineveh.

So, in this prophecy of God through Nahum, we have a situation where Nineveh will be destroyed and Babylon will become the capital city of Assyria. Then Babylon would conquer Judah and also take Jewish captives into the Assyrian lands where likely repentant Jews from the northern tribes were already living. So the apostate Jews from Judah would meet and probably develop strong bonds with the Jews already living there, especially since many from the northern tribes had fled to Judah only a generation or two before Babylon invaded Judah. So this prophecy through Nahum cannot be

about Nineveh, Babylon, Assyria and the Jews of that day, since it proclaims the Messiah’s future and permanent deliverance of Israel, as well as the permanent destruction of all Assyria. So this prophecy was clearly proclaiming the second advent of the Messiah Jesus. And we must conclude that, in this prophecy, Nineveh represented a future enemy of God and His people of Israel, a long-term enemy related to Babylon, a pagan Gentile hater of God who would exist until the end times.

When God spoke through Nahum, the world-wide, end-times scope of this prophecy became evident in its previous statements: “The earth heaves before [God], the world and all who dwell in it. Who can stand before [God’s] indignation? Who can endure the heat of His anger? … Yahweh is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; He knows those who take refuge in Him. But with an overflowing flood He will make a complete end of the adversaries, and will pursue His enemies into darkness” (1:5b-8, ESV). And the phrase, “a complete end” is a translation of the Hebrew word kalah, meaning “completion, complete destruction, consumption, annihilation” (Strongs). So this is about a time when the whole world will witness God’s final and complete annihilation of His enemies, even as He acts as a “stronghold” to save Israel and all the people in the entire world “who take refuge in Him.”

Then the next clauses strongly emphasizes and reinforces this world-wide, end-times focus of this prophecy: “What do you plot against Yahweh? He will make a complete end; trouble will not rise up a second time” (1:9). In both verses, the word translated as “a complete end” was the Hebrew noun kalah. So this is obviously about an event involving the whole earth and for all the people on it. And this time God also declares that the “adversary” of Him and His people “will not rise up a second time.” Thus, this prophecy is clearly and unequivocally about a final and completed act of Yahweh God with a world-wide scope in the end times. And, harmonizing this with the other prophecies, it must be about the return of the Messiah in glory, when He destroys the beast and all the non-elect.

This prophecy is not about a local event in Assyria written in poetic hyperbole, since neither Nahum, who had seen far worse things than the fall of Nineveh to Babylon, nor God, who spoke through Nahum, would have described such a relatively small event in Assyria in such a way. Neither Nahum nor God would have used phrases like “the earth heaves” and “all who dwell in” the world shall see “a complete end” of God’s “adversaries.” And the phrase “a day of trouble” is a clear sign that this is about the Messiah’s return, which was often referred to as a “day,” or “that day.” Rather, the fall of Nineveh was used in this prophecy as a backdrop, to warn the Jews and the whole world about the end times, when all would witness the “indignation” of God’s wrath against all His “adversaries,” whom He totally annihilates, so they “will not rise up a second time.” And those “adversaries” of God will be related to the Babylonians rising up from within Assyria. God’s enemies will be the empires growing from that Babylonian head, the psychopathic empires of Persia, Greece and Rome.

So this is a prophecy about God knowing and saving “those who take refuge in Him” at a time when He will permanently finish off those on earth who “plot against” Him. It is definitely about the end times. And the only end-times enemy of God this could possibly refer to is the beast and his Roman kingdom, the one whom Daniel and John described as the fourth kingdom of Babylon. When we understand that the beast’s kingdom is actually an extension of Babylon, and Babylon was a subject city-state in Assyria during Nahum’s time, where Nineveh was Assyria’s capital and power base, we realize that Nahum was uttering this prophecy about both Nineveh and the beast’s future kingdom.

Yahweh God revealed to these earlier prophets, like Isaiah and Nahum, that Assyria would be associated with Israel’s final invading enemy during the end times, and that God, as the Messiah, would bring that enemy to “a complete end” just before He came to Israel and ruled His redeemed elect Jews and Gentiles throughout the world. For God created, sees and knows the beginning and

the end of all the earth. So God clearly associated the Assyrian kingdom with the future Roman beast. For, as we know, Babylon came from the midst of Assyria. Then Persia rose out of the beliefs and culture of Babylon. Later, the Greeks assimilated Persian beliefs to become the empire which Alexander the Great established. And Rome was a Greek colony. All are an Assyrian and Babylonian religious kingdom with the same brutal, psychopathic lust for power, just like their Satanic father.

This prophecy states that God “will make a complete end” of this enemy and “trouble will not rise up a second time.” Babylon, with the help of the Medes who later became the Persian Empire, destroyed Nineveh. But survivors from Nineveh fled to Harran. Very many Assyrians lived in the Babylonian Empire forever after that, with ancestors alive to this day. Also, Babylon was an Assyrian city, so they were Assyrians themselves. The Medes and Persians had Assyrians in their empire as well, as did the Greeks and Romans. And all these empires of Assyria, Babylon, Persia, Greece and Rome continued to “trouble” Israel, and scattered the Jewish Diaspora among them. So this prophecy was not talking about “a complete end” of the physical city of Nineveh and the power of mortal Assyrian kings over specific land borders. Rather, it was prophesying about the utter annihilation of the vile psychopathic spiritual and religious influences of Assyria and Babylon in Israel and the world, how their beliefs and slave societies would end and “not rise up a second time.”

The buildings in Nineveh were utterly destroyed, but those buildings were not the cause of trouble for God and His people. Those building did not “plot” against God and His just, loving ways. So this prophecy was about Assyria’s spiritual heirs, and those heirs did continue to cause trouble for God and His people through their beliefs and traditions. They oppose God to this day. Today that trouble is mostly worked through Babylon’s fourth kingdom of Roman humanism, which grew out of Babylon and ultimately Assyria. And there certainly is no doubt that Greco-Roman humanism, which originated in Babylon, does not exist in our day. Rather, it is now the dominant world religion.

Thus, we cannot possibly say this prophecy through Nahum was ever fulfilled, not even to this day. For it is talking about a total and permanent destruction of God’s enemy, a spiritual enemy of the Spirit whom we call God. It is about a future time, when there will be none left to trouble God and His priesthood of Israel “a second time,” never again. And the people He will destroy cannot be a physical race or political entity, but must be a spiritually defined evil people. For “Yahweh is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; He knows those who take refuge in Him” (1:7a), and will save all such people. God only “keeps His wrath for His enemies” (1:2) and “will by no means clear the guilty,” even though He “is slow to anger” (1:3). So, in the end times, God will bring “a complete end” and a permanent end to stubbornly unrepentant and inwardly evil souls, who are the non-elect.

A people who “are like entangled thorns, like drunkards as they drink” will be “consumed like stubble fully dried” (1:10). These will be the non-elect who “plot against Yahweh,” and He will “make a complete end” of them, so their “trouble will not rise up a second time.” This will occur after one singular enemy of God arises from Assyria and Babylon, since this prophecy told the Assyrians in Nineveh: “From you came one who plotted evil against Yahweh, a worthless counselor” (1:11). And that “one” person will be the man called the beast, in the end times. Yes, that beast will come from the current Roman Empire, from a revived physical Roman Empire of seven European nations or cultures in the future. But our current world order of Roman humanism, and the beast’s future physical Roman Empire, are one with the ancient Babylonian and Assyrian religion and culture. The spiritual empires of Assyria and Babylon are still very much alive and well today, albeit in their Roman form. And it is that ancient, hierarchical, oppressing, enslaving, demonic spiritual empire, with all its religious doctrines and traditions, that our God Jesus will annihilate at His return.

Regarding the beast’s international armies attacking Israel, God said through Nahum: “Though they are at full strength and many, they will be cut down and pass away” (1:12a, ESV). Their annihilation will be followed by a lasting peace, with no end. For Yahweh God promised Israel, including all the Gentiles grafted into her: “Though I have afflicted you, I will afflict you no more. And now I will break his yoke from off you and will burst your bonds apart” (1:12b-13, ESV). This is clearly speaking about the full victory of the Messiah Jesus over His enemy and His rule over all the earth.

This prophecy states this about Assyria: “Yahweh has given commandment about you: ‘No more shall your name be perpetuated; from the house of your gods I will cut off the carved image and the metal image. I will make your grave, for you are vile’” (1:14, ESV). Some say this is an obscure reference to one of the Assyrian kings living in Nineveh. Yet it could not be. In context, it must refer to the “one” future person related to the Assyrian and Babylonian empires, “one” future man who had “plotted evil against Yahweh” (1:11). For, in this declaration of Yahweh, the pronoun “you” is singular and about the complete, permanent and final end of this one person, with his armies and his entire kingdom, in a way that will not allow his “name” to be “perpetuated,” since not one of his loyal subjects will survive to perpetuate it. So this must refer to the destruction of the beast and his armies and his kingdom, when the Messiah Jesus returns in the end times. Also, Yahweh God Himself proclaimed, “I will make your grave, for you are vile.” So this one will not be buried in a grave made by humans, but in a “grave” made by God. And the grave God made for the “vile” is eternal hell. So, like John stated in the Revelation, this one shall be cast alive into hell (Rev. 19:20).

The names of the Assyrian kings were “perpetuated,” and continued to be esteemed by citizens of their empire. In fact, their names are still esteemed by many humanists to this day. Many historians, archaeologists and others still extol the “greatness” of those psychopathic kings. Yes, those ancient Assyrian and Babylonian kings, like Sennacherib, also plotted evil against God’s church and nation of Israel, and thus against Yahweh Himself. But the death of “one” specific man related to those kings, in a way that will no longer be “perpetuated” by God’s surviving elect, must refer to the death of the final beast descended from those ancient kings. In the end times, the beast will be obsessed with destroying all that is associated with Yahweh, the God of Israel. The beast will try to destroy the physical land of Israel, along with all the Jews in it, as well as all Christians on earth. For that beast will be a “worthless counselor,” so foolish that he will think that, by destroying the physical, he can somehow eliminate the spiritual truths of God written in all His earthly and heavenly creations, and all the truths written in God’s Word, which His Holy Spirit teaches to the spirits of His elect. That beast will be so vain and ignorant that he will think he can erase the eternal, almighty Creator God from His own creation, from all human perceptions of material space-time, which God Himself maintains in real time. And that beast’s real name was never mentioned in any prophecies. Nor will it be “perpetuated” after God casts him alive into hell. Rather, he will forever be known simply by his description as a “vile” and nameless “beast,” as an insanely evil enemy of God and God’s people.

So, when Nahum prophesied, the general population of Judah was turning away from God and His ways. But Jews from the northern tribes were living in Assyrian lands at the same time. And those Jews might have been influenced in a positive way by the Gentile Assyrians who had repented into the truths about God and His ways during the time of Jonah. So the Jews in Assyria, along with a remnant of Gentile Assyrians who had possibly joined those Jews and converted to Judaism, might have existed in small communities of faithful worshipers of God. For there was actually freedom of religion in Assyria. But then God raised up the city state of Babylon, which was led by thoroughly pagan rulers, to rebel against the capital city of Nineveh and take all of Assyria for themselves. And

that pagan Babylon would soon conquer Judah and take those apostate Jews back to Assyrian lands, where faithful Jews may have existed, who could positively influence the apostate Jews from Judah.

This is all speculation, but seems to be what actually happened, when we consider the events in the book of Jonah and the invasion of the northern tribes of Israel soon after that Assyrian repentance. In fact, Jonah may have even been alive and preaching in Assyria when the northern tribes were taken into Assyria. Of course, we do not have a firm date on the book of Jonah, and he may have gone there in about 750 BC, or even a few years earlier. But the book of Jonah ends without saying what happened next, and it is very likely that, when the Assyrians repented, God wanted Jonah to stay and teach those repentant Gentiles, since Jonah’s book ends with a statement of God’s concern for the Gentiles who began to worship Him. So now we can begin to see how God likely planned the utter destruction of His temple in Judah by Babylon, after the Jews of Judah polluted it with syncretized Babylonian ways and traditions. In Judah, the Jews emphasized the temple and feasts, but forgot about God Himself and God’s just, equitable, loving laws, which reflected God’s core attributes. So Judah began to interpret God’s Law according to their own private preferences, not according to the way God interpreted His own Law through His actions among them. God was no longer their sole example of how to apply His laws and ways in their lives. So God took away their temple, where they profaned His commanded feasts. Then God likely sent those apostate Jews in Judah to the more faithful Jews in Assyria, so Judah might learn the truth about Him and His ways, which Jonah taught.

But God would also destroy the non-elect who did not repent, who continued to plot against Him, as their father Satan had always done. God would also annihilate Satan’s religious kingdom of Babylon and its successors, in the end times, after all the elect Gentiles had repented and after He had brought them all into His church of Israel. And that final kingdom of Babylon in the end times would be ruled by “one” man, who is obviously the beast, as we know by harmonizing Nahum’s prophecy with the later prophecies. Then the beast’s name, which he made all his loyal citizens wear on their hands or foreheads as a sign of their worship for him, would no longer be “perpetuated. Then the name of that beast would be utterly forgotten by the elect living in peace under the Messiah’s rule.

For seven years during the end times, the name of the beast will be well-known, and particularly for his bitter plotting against Yahweh, the God of the true elect Jews and true elect Christians. But that name of the beast was never revealed in any of the prophecies, although we are told that “the number of his name” is “666” (Rev. 13:17-18). And will not be “perpetuated” or remembered at all after Jesus returns. At first, it will become like a swear word and seldom spoken, just like the names of despots like Hitler have become. Then it will become entirely removed from every language on earth. And, as this prophecy states, that name and his kingdom will never again trouble God or Israel. But none of this has happened yet, for it is abundantly clear that God did not stop afflicting Israel through Assyria, or through its subsequent kingdoms of Babylon, Persia, Greece and Rome.

After Nineveh was destroyed in about 612 BC, the Assyrians in Babylon devastated the southern tribes of Israel in Judah. And God never permanently broke the yoke of the Assyrians from off their backs. Assyria’s vast empire simply changed its capital city from Nineveh to Babylon. Then Babylon continued to afflict Israel and Judah. And Babylon did this while Satan was developing his religious kingdom of humanism in her through her king, Nebuchadnezzar. Then Babylon’s religious kingdom flourished in Persia, Greece and Rome, eventually becoming the dominant religion of the world today. Now the power of humanism is starting to crack and weaken. But we still see its strongest and most loyal demonic citizens rising up all over the world, even adopting its purest form of fascism, the religion of the future beast. Hitlers and Trumps are all desperately trying to maintain the ways of Roman humanism, especially its most evil and destructive form developed through Caesar Augustus.

God told the “one” ruler of the end times, “I will make your grave, for you are vile” (1:14b). So God Himself would make the grave of the beast, not a human being. For God will cast that beast alive into the “grave” of hell, so no human will be able to make any kind of grave on earth for him, nor “perpetuate” his name. And God Himself created hell as the “grave” for Satan, for all the other fallen angels, and for that devil’s non-elect human brood. Furthermore, that beast, even all the non-elect citizens of Assyria, have indeed been petty, small and “vile” in all their thinking and all their ways. All their oppressive humanistic slave societies throughout history, with all their vain wars and injustices, have murdered and tortured more innocent souls than any other religion that has ever existed. Satan surely did his very “best” evil work when he invented that “vile” religious kingdom.

But the name of Nineveh was definitely “perpetuated” after 612 BC. There were no longer any people who could be called citizens of Nineveh. However, its name is in the Bible, and God’s Word shall exist until the world ends, even into eternity after that. So the name of Nineveh will forever be “perpetuated.” Only the name of the beast does not exist in God’s Word and will be utterly forgotten forever, just like the names of other despots. Nor would the names of Assyria’s many demon gods be forgotten. God simply said their gods would be cut off. Yet those gods continued to be worshipped all over the former Assyrian Empire, and some in the city of Babylon too. In fact, through the deeds and beliefs of other religions, like Islam, those ruthless demon gods are still worshiped. So, in context, God will bring a final end to those demonic pagan gods when He brings an end to the beast.

Nahum also paraphrased a Messianic prophecy penned by Isaiah about half a century previously: “Behold, upon the mountains, the feet of Him who brings good news, who publishes peace” (Nahum 1:15a, cf., Is. 52:7-8). Paul the apostle quoted from this verse too, and referred to the “good news” as “the Gospel of Jesus Christ” (Rom. 10:15). Then Luke declared that this “good news” of “peace” is worked through Jesus Christ (Acts 10:36). So, like Isaiah, Nahum prophesied about the coming of the Messiah Jesus too, that He will bring His New Covenant salvation to Israel and to the world. Then He will also “publish” or teach about internal peace with God, which shall work true peace between people and nations, where each loves one’s neighbor, without any tentative compromises.

And when Judah profaned the feasts God commanded in His, Nahum did not tell them to stop all those feasts. Instead, He told them to “keep” or truly celebrate them with joy, and also to fulfill their vows, especially their vows to make amends and restore what was lost. Then the exploiters, like the people of the beast, will “never again” walk through Judah. For the wicked will be “utterly cut off.”

Habakkuk 2:2 to 3:16 (ESV): “And [Yahweh] answered me: ‘Write the vision; make it

plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it. For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it

hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not

delay. Behold, his soul is puffed up; it is not upright within him, but the righteous shall live

by his faith. Moreover, wine is a traitor, an arrogant man who is never at rest. His greed is as

wide as Sheol; like death he has never enough. He gathers for himself all nations and collects

as his own all peoples.’ Shall not all these take up their taunt against him , with scoffing and

riddles for him, and say, ‘Woe to him who heaps up what is not his own—for how long?—

and loads himself with pledges!’ Will not your debtors suddenly arise, and those awake who

will make you tremble? Then you will be spoil for them. Because you have plundered

many nations, all the remnant of the peoples shall plunder you, for the blood of man

and violence to the earth, to cities and all who dwell in them.

“‘Woe to him who gets evil gain for his house, to set his nest on high, to be safe from the

reach of harm! You have devised shame for your house by cutting off many peoples; you

have forfeited your life. For the stone will cry out from the wall, and the beam from the

woodwork respond. Woe to him who builds a town with blood and founds a city on iniquity!

Behold, is it not from [Yahweh] of hosts that peoples labor merely for fire, and nations weary

themselves for nothing? For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of

[ Yahweh] as the waters cover the sea. Woe to him who makes his neighbors drink—you pour

out your wrath and make them drunk, in order to gaze at their nakedness!

“You will have your fill of shame instead of glory. Drink, yourself, and show your

uncircumcision! The cup in [Yahweh’s] right hand will come around to you, and utter shame

will come upon your glory! The violence done to Lebanon will overwhelm you, as will the

destruction of the beasts that terrified them, for the blood of man and violence to the earth, to

cities and all who dwell in them. ‘What profit is an idol when its maker has shaped it, a metal

image, a teacher of lies? For its maker trusts in his own creation when he makes speechless

idols! Woe to him who says to a wooden thing, Awake; to a silent stone, Arise! Can this

teach? Behold, it is overlaid with gold and silver, and there is no breath at all in it. But

[Yahweh] is in His holy temple; let all the earth keep silence before Him.’

“A prayer of Habakkuk the prophet, according to Shigionoth. O [Yahweh], I have heard the

report of You, and Your work, O [Yahweh], do I fear. In the midst of the years revive it ; in the

midst of the years make itknown; in wrath remember mercy . God came from Teman [southern

Judah] , and the Holy One from Mount Paran [a place near the Gulf of Aqaba in southern Judah]. His

splendor covered the heavens [or skies], and the earth was full of His praise . Selah. His

brightness was like the light; rays flashed from His hand; and there He veiled His power.

Before Him went pestilence, and plague followed at His heels.

“He stood and measured the earth ; He looked and shook the nations ; then the eternal

mountains were scattered; the everlasting hills sank low. His were the everlasting ways. I saw

the tents of Cushan [Sudan] in affliction; the curtains of the land of Midian [Iran] did tremble.

[Since Cush and Media were likely the farthest places Habakkuk knew about, each in the opposite direction

from Israel, he was again emphasizing the world-wide scope of this prophecy.] Was Your wrath against the

rivers, O [Yahweh]? Was Your anger against the rivers, or Your indignation against the sea,

when You rode on Your horses, on Your chariot of salvation? You stripped the sheath from

Your bow, calling for many arrows. Selah.

“You split the earth with rivers. The mountains saw You and writhed; the raging waters swept

on; the deep gave forth its voice; it lifted its hands on high. The sun and moon stood still in

their place at the light of Your arrows as they sped, at the flash of Your glittering spear. You

marched through the earth in fury; You threshed the nations in anger. You went out for

the salvation of Your people, for the salvation of Your anointed. You crushed the head of

the house of the wicked, laying him bare from thigh to neck. Selah.

“You pierced with his own arrows the heads of his warriors, who came like a whirlwind to

scatter me, rejoicing as if to devour the poor in secret. You trampled the sea with your horses,

the surging of mighty waters. I hear, and my body trembles; my lips quiver at the sound;

rottenness enters into my bones; my legs tremble beneath me. Yet I will quietly wait for the

day of trouble to come upon people who invade us.”

Historians believe this prophecy came to Habakkuk just after 612 BC, soon after Babylon, a city state in Assyria, destroyed Nineveh, the capital of Assyria. It was after Babylon became the region’s dominant power and strove to dominate every soul they could touch with their violence. So Babylon

was threatening Habakkuk’s homeland of Judah, and the Jews were still trying to appease Babylon, a couple decades before Babylon conquered Judah and destroyed the Jerusalem temple in about 586 BC. During this time of great trouble, Habakkuk climbed a tower and complained to God about the way aggressors, like Babylon, were “mercilessly killing the nations.” Then God gave him a vision.

The vision was about events that were even more important than the current troubles of the land, and God told him, “Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it” (2:2). God showed Habakkuk about the distant future of the entire world, and wanted him to write it down in a clear and comprehensible language. But he did not want it written on fragile parchment or papyri, but on solid tablets, so one could run while reading it. For the “appointed time” of the vision’s end-time salvation was not in that generation, and Judah would need to wait for it. In the meantime, all of Judah and Israel would need to run into battle or run from the enemy, although God expected them to read His promises for the future revealed through the prophets while they ran, to keep up their hope and morale. God gave these revelations about His church of Israel for them and for all the rest of the elect in the world, to read and understand that a time would come when He would end tyranny and vain wars with finality. The day He would destroy the wicked would seem slow in coming, but it would surely arrive. God would eventually descend in His Messiah, and bring peace for all the earth.

Since God created His church to be a priesthood serving the whole world in His name, almost nothing He revealed to His church was ever meant to be hidden or kept private, never like some kind of an underground cult or a secret society. All that His fallible elect servants did, and all that He said to them, was meant to be transparent, heard by all the world. So this book of Habakkuk was not just a private journal that “somehow found its way into the public domain,” as some might say. Rather, it revealed how God will indeed destroy the “nations” who steal from the innocent to make themselves wealthy and “weary themselves for nothing” through their ruthless and exploitative selfish ambitions (2:13). And God will destroy them for the sake of His elect, since He determined that “the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of Yahweh” (2:14), that all will learn His just, loving ways.

Habakkuk was a contemporary of Jeremiah, and likely wrote this long after after Josiah, a good king in Judah, ruled (c. 640 BC). Now he lived in a time of great turmoil, after Egypt had wrested control over Judah in 609 BC, and named Jehoiakim as the vassal king of Judah. But, since Habakkuk also spoke of God in His temple (2:20), it was before Babylon destroyed that temple in 586 BC. And he may have written it even before Babylon defeated Egypt at Carchemish in 605 BC, or while that war was happening. And, just before God gave him this vision (vv. 1:5-11), God said He would raise up the unjust, bitter, ruthless and carnally motivated Chaldeans (Babylonians) to take Judah and other nations with “violence,” then “gather captives like sand” (1:9). For this would be God’s judgment against Judah. God had appointed the Babylonians to serve as His weapon, to administer His wrath against Judah, to kill, enslave and crush the flesh of His rebellious people. And God had a very good reason for His anger because, in God’s land of Judah, “the law [was] paralyzed, and justice never [went] forth. For the wicked surround [besiege, or force the surrender of] the righteous; so justice goes forth perverted” (1:4, ESV). That is, Judah had become almost as evil as all the churches in our day.

Judah dared to try to appease Babylons by adopting her unjust ways and synchretizing her traditions with God’s Word, even as they continued to pretend to worship the real God. They were practicing a fake hybrid religion of class systems and injustice in God’s name, which slandered His name in all of the known world. Yet it was critical that God’s true and pure Word of equitable justice stand firm, so all the wealthy and poor alike, as well as all the powerful and powerless alike, remained equally and fully accountable to God. To maintain peace and order, all had to remain bound under the spiritually administered precepts of God’s Law, where either mercy or hard punishment was granted, based on

either the good or evil motives and intentions of a heart. Since Judah perverted justice and slandered His name, God handed that careless, unjust priesthood over to slaughter and captivity, to punishment through the same demonic nation she tried to embrace as a friend, to the pagan nation she loved to emulate so much. For God often punishes the wicked by granting them what they want, to kill them.

God also described the humanistic nature and religion of the Babylonians when He said, “their justice and dignity go forth from themselves” (1:7b, ESV). That is, human rulers in Babylon invented their own self-serving laws and ways. But previous cultures, including Nineveh, at least pretended to claim that their laws and ways were based on the wills of their gods. None of those deluded cultures followed all the eternal laws and truly just ways God created in the beginning and written within His creations. But now the rulers of Babylon created their own laws and ways, and ignored those of all supernatural gods. So Babylonians became humanists, “guilty men, whose own might is their god” (1:11b, ESV), the founding fathers of all subsequent humanistic empires and peoples after that time.

Clearly, God was telling Habakkuk that the Babylonians worshiped themselves as their own gods. And they believed that might makes right. Thus, all believed that the most mighty man, the most ruthless and selfishly ambitious of all men, should be their king and chief god. Each man also felt that he could choose his own ways to his own destiny, regardless of how much his selfish ambitions and irresponsible ways harmed his innocent siblings in the family of humankind. All worshipped human gods, and those human gods coerced all the others into obeying their humanly invented and unjust precepts. Since Babylonians placed all their confidence in man alone, they worshipped man as their principal god. Therefore, their religion was, by any definition, humanism. Babylon invented the religion of humanism, the worship of human gods within the old Assyrian hierarchical class systems.

Of course, Babylon also worshiped other gods at the same time. Yet they placed no real faith in those other supernatural gods. Their core, genuine faith and confidence rested solely in themselves and other men, nothing else. And it was Babylon’s king, Nebuchadnezzar, who promoted, solidified and firmly established this religion of humanism in their kingdom, making it the dominant religion and defining attribute of their empire. As a consequence, humanism became the defining attribute, core power and primary influence of all subsequent Babylonian kingdoms, of Persia, Greece and Rome.

We saw how Nebuchadnezzar made humanism into his and the empire’s basis for all their choices and proclivities when he proclaimed: “Is not this great Babylon, which I have built for the royal dwelling place by the might of my power and for the glory of my majesty?” (Dan. 4:30, WEB). But not even the most deluded king in times past, not even a king who believed he was the spawn of a supernatural god or a lesser supernatural god himself, would dare to say what Nebuchadnezzar said here. All the kings before him would have acknowledges the larger roles of other greater gods in the creation of Babylon. Only Nebuchadnezzar dared to say that he himself, and he alone, “built” the city and empire of Babylon, by the “might” his own “power”, and solely for the “glory” of his own “majesty.” That king did not even acknowledge the help of his own people, much less the Creator of the earth, sun and rain which fed him and his people. Rather, this king was so deeply deluded that he actually believed that he did all of this through his own totally manipulated will and his own “might” of his own dying, weak, fragile brain and body of flesh. This foolish little parasite, living off of the works of far more capable souls, somehow placed all his faith in himself, attributed all success and glory to himself. Then his subjects emulated his faith, and the religion of humanism officially began.

Yet Nebuchadnezzar also worshipped other supernatural gods while he worshipped himself above all those other gods. His religion was actually a form of theistic humanism, the religion that most false Jews and false Christians have practiced for more than two and a half millenniums. And this type of

humanism does not actually put any real faith in the words and wills of those other supernatural gods, neither in the demonic spirits posing as gods nor the one real Creator’s Spirit. Rather, each theistic humanist simply imagines one’s own version of a supernatural god in one’s own mind. Then some may also shape material substances into a statue resembling one’s imagined form of a god. And all theistic humanists then pretend that they can manipulate their supernatural gods through their own wills. So theistic humanists are actually identical to secular humanists, who do not pretend to worship any supernatural gods, although demonic spirits are manipulating both, and causing their deep delusions which make them believe they are powerful enough to create their own souls and shape their own destinies. All humanists are mindless puppets on strings, the toys of demonic spirits.

Babylon’s unjust, demonic religion of humanism was the very same religion as that which the Jewish people in Habakkuk’s time were developing, then perfected during their Babylonian captivity. And it is the same demonic religion adopted by the Roman Catholic church and almost all the Protestant churches born from her. And all merely pretend to worship the real Creator God, although some elect in those fake religions do begin to truly worship the real God, by accident, albeit with corruptions from their fake synagogues and churches. Then secular humanists make fun of their various invented gods, especially since each synagogue or church has almost as many imagined fake gods called by the name of the real God as there are people in it. But, in reality, even secular humanists worship other gods too, like money, their human and material possessions, rich or powerful people and many more enslaving gods. Thus, Nebuchadnezzar is the father of all sects of humanism, even secular humanism, which will be the beast’s religion. For the delusions of all its factious sects are the same.

When God revealed the vision of the Babylonian humanists, He wanted Habakkuk to understand this: “Behold, his soul is puffed up; it is not upright within him, but the righteous shall live by faith” (2:4). Although humanists may talk the talk, they can never walk the walk. A humanist might say he believes in God, or babble on about justice. But, in the end, he is far too arrogant and self-absorbed to ever actually hear and understand any of God’s words about just, equitable love, nor trust in the real God to teach and train his spirit to become more genuinely loving each day. For the truly loving and righteous live by faith in the real God and in His words spoken directly to their spirits, then worship God in their spirits and in that truth. But a deluded humanist thinks he has the power and wisdom to make himself powerful and wise, although he is weak and stupid, lacking anything in him that is able to make himself powerful and wise. Thus, his own arrogance keeps him weak and stupid.

In both the Old and New Testaments, the word “soul” (Hebrew = nephesh or Greek = ψυχή) referred to a non-material chamber made of spiritual substances within every body of flesh. Technically, this was a passive interface, a place where communications between the mind of the spirit and the mind of the body could occur. But, because it provided this internal communication between the spirit and the body, the Bible also used the word “soul” with reference to the whole of one’s internal thinking processes and all the actions resulting from those thoughts, even the whole of one’s life. The word “soul” indicated literally all one’s thoughts and ways, resulting from the process of the mind of one’s spirit and the mind of one’s flesh cooperating with or opposing one another in the soul. So, since a humanist’s god is self, and his “soul” is “puffed up” or “lifted up,” it means that both that one’s spirit and mind of flesh are arrogant, too proud and self-absorbed to think rationally, completely deluded.

All true worship is from a spirit who seeks and humbles itself before its loving Father. But a humanist sincerely worships (esteems and serves) himself more than any other god. A humanist’s mind of his spirit and his mind of flesh become far too vain and self-exulting to ever truly worship God. One can either be a humanist or be a worshiper of God, but it is impossible to be both at the same time. And the vast majority of synagogues and churches teach humanism, not pure theism, not

the true worship of the real Creator God through one’s spirit and in truth. In fact, almost all religions in our day define the word “soul” and the word “spirit” in a humanistic way, in a Platonic way, so that it becomes impossible for those who believe those anthropological doctrines to even begin to comprehend how to truly worship the real God, nor comprehend how Jesus is fully God in a fully human body. So the humanist’s whole soul invariably becomes deluded, irrational, empty, worthless, evil and outright destructive. Only a few elect souls escape this delusion, and only by the teaching and training of their spirits by the Holy Spirit of God, and usually only partially, if they remain in those humanistic synagogues and churches. For those elect are constantly corrupted by humanism.

Considering how a humanist worships himself and other human beings, how can he avoid becoming arrogant to his core, even if he might strive to put on a humble face for public appearances? Even if a humanist thinks he is worthless and lowly, it is usually through delusions imposed on him by other humanists. It is because he compares his physical or material attributes and possessions to those of other humanists. So he is still worshiping himself, albeit while putting unreal chastisements upon himself, for not living up to delusional standards set by other humanists. And that self-flagellated humanist is still extremely arrogant for thinking he has misused or under-utilized his own great power and almighty will to become good in the eyes of other humanists! For his main focus still remains upon himself alone, not the real God. Since all good ultimately comes from God, we can only learn to be more upright, honest, rational, wise, just and truly loving by humbling ourselves before our Father, so His Spirit can directly teach and train our spirits to live in His ways. And, if we fail, as we do throughout each day, we simply acknowledge our failures to Him, strive to hear how He can correct the problems we caused, seek to repent and bear fruits of our repentance, accept His forgiveness, and press on in the restored relationship with our Father and teaching oldest Brother. In this, there is no guilt or self-condemnation in one’s infantile, ignorant spirit, only a future of love.

Solely through His teaching, training and power, are we able to do His works. We grow more loving in just, upright and beneficial ways each day, but not by the might of ourselves, only by His Spirit. “The righteous shall live by his faith” in God alone, as our spirits trust in the words that His Holy Spirit utters directly to our spirits, by Him pouring concepts into the minds of our spirits, the true and harmonious understanding of His written words or His spiritual and physical creations. Then He also trains our spirits, by allowing us to do His works on earth, even though we so often fail, since we are little children who still have so much to learn. And our loving Father, who dwells inside our oldest Brother Jesus, is patient with us, constantly quietly counseling our spirits, explaining how and why things should be done in the ways He designed from the beginning, to benefit all His creations. Our God is never harsh with our spirits, although He sometimes needs to cause some pain for our flesh, to get the attention of our spirits when we begin to rely on our flesh too much. The Father of our spirits never leaves us, is always within calling distance of our spirits, and is always eager to explain, guide, teach, encourage, motivate and provide all we need to do His works whenever we are ready.

God also will restore all the losses His children caused through their errors, failures and sins, even the deaths they caused. For He allowed and even predestined those events, and knew they would occur before they happened. Our God could have easily prevented our sins too, if He chose to do so. So our God restores all the losses we caused on earth as well, even hundredfold, permanently and eternally in heaven, although not always on this earth. For these perceptions of earthly life are meant to be temporary, only for the teaching and training of elect spirits, made to perish. Knowing this, we have confidence to carry on with this earthly life, knowing He will complete the task of teaching and training our spirits on the final day, at the gates of heaven, restoring all that we thought was lost on earth. For these are the attributes of a loving Creator who maintains all material existence through

His personal will and power. This is the way of the Creator we see manifested in everything we see around us. And there is no other rational explanation of all we empirically observe. So we trust Him.

Since a humanist lives by faith in self, or by faith in another human being, nothing good can ever dwell “within him.” For all that is truly good is worked through the motives and intentions of a loving spirit who serves God according to His will, according to the truths and realities He designed and created. So a lying and deluded spirit, who strives to replace the Creator with oneself or some other human being, simply cannot love and do good. Rather, God has handed that one over to the vain delusions created by Satan, because that one did not love the spiritual and physical realities God made and maintains. And all the laws and ways invented by humanists are either ineffective or outright destructive, because humanists make them for themselves and the other human gods they worship, such as for the rich and powerful enemies of God in their evil hierarchical class systems.

All things in creation—all created spirits and all physical things—were made to function in ways that are best for all life, according to the laws and ways the Creator designed for them. Thus, when humanists try to alter or oppose those effective ways of God for their own selfish purposes, they invariably cause destruction and death. Only a soul who humbles oneself, as a part of the whole, in which each equal part labors to do God’s will and lives through confidence in God and His ways, is a soul who produces what is justly loving and truly good for all God’s creations. And this is why the words of Habakkuk about righteousness by faith (2:4b) were quoted by those who truly knew God.

The prophet and apostle Paul said this about the Gospel of Jesus’ salvation: “For in it is revealed God’s righteousness from faith to faith. As it is written, ‘But the righteous shall live by faith’” (Rom. 1:17, WEB). And none can gain true loving righteousness by striving to obey God’s Law or any other law through the will and strength of the flesh, as humanists try to do. For a human spirit can only begin to fulfill God’s Law if one’s spirit is personally taught and trained by God to become loving and just through His New Covenant salvation. As it is written, “no man is justified by the Law before God is evident, for, ‘The righteous will live by faith.’ The Law is not of faith, but, ‘The man who does them will live by them’” (Gal. 3:11-12, WEB). That is, even God’s Law, which reveals the holy attributes of the Spirit who created all, can only work life if it is fulfilled (Lev. 18:5), as our spirits trust in the concepts that the Holy Spirit of our God Jesus pours into us, by His loving grace.

Then God’s prophecy through Habakkuk went on to proclaim: “moreover, wine is a traitor, an arrogant man who is never at rest. His greed is as wide as Sheol; like death he has never enough. He gathers for himself all nations and collects as his own all peoples” (2:5). Archaeologists mostly found wine among the Babylonian royalty, since wine had to be imported and was expensive. All the commoners drank cheap beer made in Babylon. So, if “wine is a traitor,” then Babylonian rulers were traitors to their people. Their rulers were “arrogant,” but like slaves of Satan, “never at rest.” For the devil drove them through their selfish ambitions and “greed.” Their rule never saw enough death. Year after year, they kept sending their soldiers to kill and die, to conquer more lands, to bring ever more plunder, slaves and taxes back to them. And this how all the humanistic rulers have acted throughout all history. All those humanists have to relieve their guilt is alcohol and other drugs, for artificial courage and false confidence, so they can bravely heap up condemnation for themselves.

Yet their wine betrays them in the end. For one thing, they become arrogant in its delusions, which is a dangerous, since foolish pride causes deadly errors. And an arrogant soul, who worships no one but himself, is never satisfied, never able to find anything to glorify and appease himself in a way that he deems himself to be worthy of esteem and loyal service. Humanists are always greedy for more wealth and greater symbols of status, always seeking more esteem and power, no matter how much

they already have. Their hearts long to buy more and more self-indulgent and self-esteeming things for themselves, so they can exult themselves ever higher above others. Satan convinces them that they must be the gods of all the “nations” on earth, the owners of all people, then deem all people to be mere things whose only purpose is to worship them. Just like their father, Satan, they want to replace the real Creator God, to be the one god whose will controls all existence and all life on earth.

Thus, those despotic humanistic parasites long to force the souls of all God’s elect to serve their own worthless, useless, empty, vain and destructive desires. Throughout history, humanists have always been so arrogant that they seized people for themselves, to possess as their own property, to make into their actual or virtual slaves. For humanists refuse to acknowledge that they cannot even own themselves, that they are slaves owned by the devil who feeds their ambitious delusions, and that they cause nothing but loss and death. So those wealthy and powerful humanists are actually worth much less any other human beings, in the eyes of all who see the realities God created. Those vain “nobles” refuse to worship God by admitting that God alone owns the entire earth, including all who are upon it, and all that any man can ever hope to become is God’s faithful steward, caring for all God’s people and all God’s things on earth. We are all nothing and everything, all parts of a whole that is learning and growing through God’s teaching and training, to be one just and loving entity.

In the end, those arrogant despots and wanna-be gods turn against one another, stab one another in the back. For their selfish ambitions crave ever more wealth and power, and they bear no respect for the beauty of life that God creates. So they war against one another and tear at the flesh. There is never peace. All humanistic kingdoms are factious, causing much collateral damage among the innocent. Babylon, and the empires who grew out of her, have always lived by stealing lives and plundering, by coercing pledges of loyalty and service from their captives, by collecting usury from debts they force upon their victims. And Babylon will always live by those kinds of thefts and violence until their oppressed and abused people say “Enough!” Sooner or later, the enslaved equal or superior elect, whom Babylon calls his inanimate property, will turn to God. “Shall not all these take up their taunt against him, with scoffing and riddles for him, and say, ‘Woe to him who heaps up what is not his own—for how long? [since God has appointed a final end for Babylon]—and loads himself with pledges!’ Will not your debtors suddenly arise, and those awake who will make you tremble? Then you will be spoil for them. Because you have plundered many nations, all the remnant of the peoples shall plunder you, for the blood of man and violence to the earth, to cities and all who dwell in them” (Hab. 2:6-8, ESV). God will crush Babylon into dust when Jesus returns to rule the earth.

This is a prophecy about Babylon’s destruction in the end times, and about a particular man who is the head of this Babylon. That man is the beast of later prophecies, like those God gave through Daniel and John. Eventually all the elect whom Babylon has plundered or has robbed through extortion, all whom that beast oppressed and enslaved and murdered throughout the millenniums, will be revived and gathered into God’s priesthood of Israel. Then, after Jesus returns, all the elect will be granted the power to collect repayment from him. Thus, Babylon is doing all that he does on credit, casting himself deeply into an incomprehensible eternal debt owed to God and to his victims. And there is nothing more pathetic and wretched than one who heaps up debt for frivolous pleasures of the flesh and to feed one’s own empty vanity. At the present time, Babylon has taken captive all of the most prosperous nations in the world. But her grasp on the just and loving elect is weakening. In the end, the beast and other humanistic nations will make their last stand against God, hoping in vain to overcome His power over His elect and His world. But the beast will fail. All his debts will come upon him at once, in one day, and he will be cast alive into prison for all eternity, never to rise again.

Through Babylon’s sins of all his humanistic lands, he has indeed accumulated a truly massive debt to God and to countless elect souls. The multitudes that beast has sinned against, and the depth of his sins, are too great to comprehend. And all his coerced debtors will suddenly realize that the financial systems of Babylon were mere fiction invented by that beast to enslave them. For the elect will soon see that God created the ground, the sun, the rain and the growing seeds that sustain them, then He served His creations so that He might freely provide for all life. And when the elect see this, they will rise up against Babylon, just as Habakkuk prophesied. Jesus will soon grant a voice to all the elect survivors of Babylon’s arrogant abuses—all who were plundered, killed, enslaved and oppressed by the militant priests of humanism, Babylon’s religion. All the elect whom Babylon’s despots, bankers and soldiers sacrificed to feed her self-indulgence and self-exultation, will accuse her of theft and murder, and carry out the sentence of death upon her, which our God Jesus shall complete in full. On the day Jesus returns, Babylon, led by the beast, will fall and will be plundered.

Clearly, this prophecy is not merely hyperbolic poetry about ancient Babylon and the nations she plundered in the Middle East. Rather, this about the Babylon that continued to exist through Persia, Greece and Rome, the beast who has spilled blood and done “violence to the earth” (2:8), who robbed life and limb from all who dwell in all cities until the end times. God’s prophecy through Habakkuk obviously bears a world-wide scope. And, before Yahweh the Messiah comes, “the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of Yahweh” (2:14) too. This universal scope of God’s work against Babylon and for His elect was why He stated: “the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay” (2:3). For it would require many centuries for the Babylonian beast to conquer all the nations on the earth, to drag them all into the Satanic delusions of his humanism. And God also chose to develop and spread the knowledge of His glory to all the elect on earth over the same period of time. So that “appointed time” was not to come until all this had been accomplished, as it almost has been today.

By harmonizing what God gave to Habakkuk with the other biblical prophecies, we know the final destruction of Babylon will occur in the end times. At that time, the partial return of Jews will revive Israel as an independent nation. Then wars with other nations that once belonged to the Assyrian and Babylonian empires will end in most of those nations repenting to Yahweh Jesus. Then the beast, whose origin and head is Babylon, will conquer Israel, along with some nations in the Middle East and Africa, but depart in the middle of his seven-year reign. So Israel and those other nations will rebel against the beast. But the beast will return and war against Israel near the end of his reign, which is when Jesus will return and utterly destroy the beast, along with all the beast’s followers, and all the wicked on earth. Everything in this prophecy through Habakkuk follows this same order.

God also gave this warning to individuals: “Woe to him who gets evil gain for his house, to set his nest on high, to be safe from the reach of harm! You have devised shame for your house by cutting off many peoples; you have forfeited your life. For the stone will cry out from the wall, and the beam from the woodwork respond” (2:9-11, ESV). Like today, the wealthy and powerful heaped up “evil gain” through price gouging, inequitable wages, usury and other forms of theft. Then they loved to live in walled estates on hills overlooking the “little people,” exalting themselves above their equal or superior siblings in the family of humankind. Yet, in all this, they brought “shame,” not glory, to their houses, for the loving and righteous saw through their pretenses, and were disgusted with their delusions of grandeur. For their delusions and evil caused the suffering and deaths of their siblings, but they lied to themselves, detaching themselves from the misery they caused, “cutting off many peoples.” Then they hired armed guards so they might “be safe from the reach of harm,” from anyone who sought justice. However, those vain parasites forfeited their eternal lives as they did so.

We must remember that all existence, both physical and spiritual, is on God’s side. Even the flesh of our bodies will obey God’s whisper, and even destroy itself at His command. Not just living animals and plants hear His bidding, but also the cold and mindless stones we set into our walls. And those stones shall “cry out” for God’s kind of loving justice. Then the timbers we cut down and killed, the lumber we sawed and carved, still lives to respond. Because God maintains all existence, He lives in all that exists and sees all that exists, even in hell. So there is no place to hide from His just wrath. There is no escape from God and His justice. He watches the wicked and they shall all perish at His hands, if not during their brief moment on earth, then eternally on the last day at the gates of heaven.

Every “house,” every group sharing a common world view or belief system, every nation, cult or family, will be held accountable for their love or hatred of the truths and principles God created and maintains. More specifically, the humanists, who embrace the religion of Babylon, will need to answer for making gods of themselves to replace the real God, and for their unnatural class systems which oppress their siblings in the family of humankind. Humanists may think they are now getting away with their thefts and murders, and irrationally believe they justify their unjust deeds. But the selfish motives of their hearts, in seeking illicit “gain” for their own house, or in keeping their own house “safe from the reach of” the wrath they deserve, will not be accepted as a valid excuse before the eyes of God. Since those humanists chose to save their own lives, at the expense of all the other lives God created and cherishes, they shall lose their lives forever. God will never again trust their loveless spirits with any living creature, nor lifeless things with His life in them. They will be cast into the empty pit of hell, where they will have nothing to gain nor exploit, throughout all eternity.

In fact, a humanist is usually highly esteemed if he can ruthlessly murder and plunder those who do not belong to his own “house,” if he can gain wealth and security for his own “house.” Babylonians, and their subsequent empires of Persians, Greeks and Romans, as well as all their sub-families like the Roman Catholics, Muslims, English, Spanish, French, Nazis, Americans, Communists and other humanistic factions, have all sworn loyalty to demonic psychopaths who brought them stolen gain and a fake “safety” from God’s wrath. All established hierarchies of worshipped and blindly obeyed thieves and murderers, then bowed before those ungodly human gods, to obtain wealth and a false feeling of salvation for themselves, at the expense of God’s beloved creations. Yet the creating Spirit owns all created spirits, and every body. All is His property. So all elect life and all blessed existence willingly serves God alone, since all belong to His “house.” Only Satan, his fallen angels in chains, and the deluded, manipulated human spirits born of those demons do not belong to God’s “house.” And, since they steal from and destroy God’s property, they will pay for their thefts and vandalism with their lives. And humanists are Satan’s favorite household pets, the worst of all plunderers and murderers. Thus, they will reap more just rewards of eternal death than all others in Satan’s “house.”

God and His creations call every soul to rightly and justly serve the whole of existence according to His just ways, based on His priorities, not in the ways and by the priorities of human kings and lords who believe they are gods. So no one is left in the dark, without knowledge of right and wrong. No soul can possibly justify any injustice they do towards other human beings or towards other creatures on earth, simply by saying he or she was commanded to do so by a human lord or king. For there cannot be any lord or king whom anyone is duty-bound to obey instead of God. Angels from heaven, who have far more mature spirits than humans, do not have any authority to oppose God’s wise and loving words or commands. God in Jesus always remains the direct Head of literally every human.

Therefore, no man should let any other man interfere with anything God commands in His Word or through His Spirit. If any man serves himself or another man instead of God, that man is a deluded fool who is rebelling against God. Of course, God creates, trains and raises up men to do different

works for Him. So God made some men to serve Him by serving His people and creations in ways that involve limited authority, and sends those well-taught and more mature men to teach, judge, manage, counsel and guide. Nevertheless, all these are simply stewards owned by God, and have absolutely no right to ask anyone to do anything evil or unjust. Also, every man has both the right and duty to disobey anyone who asks him to do evil or unjust deeds. Only the religion of humanism teaches the people to serve men as gods, to blindly obey humans without questioning their authority.

True Christianity forbids this, since it is the worship of humans. And a man who does unjust acts for the gain and safety of his own house rebels against God. Also, if he worships humans, including oneself, he actually worships Satan and wars against God, since it is Satan who commands his spirit to do this worshiping. So God will be just when He sends woes to that rebel for all his unjust deeds.

This prophecy declared that those who do evil for the gain and safety of their own houses “have devised” (Hebrew = yawats, “advised, resolved, counseled”) plans that shall bring “shame” to their own houses. And this “shame” will be the utter disgrace their souls will feel on the judgment day, as they stand before their God Jesus and all the loving souls they abused. For all will have new bodies made of a spiritual substance, freed from all the lies that the weak mind of flesh convinced itself to believe. So their spirits and new bodies will not be able to blot out the spiritual light of our God Jesus from His throne of judgement. All His truth shall irresistibly penetrate the minds of them all.

“By cutting off many peoples,” by detaching oneself from others through the lies of racist, political and religious propaganda, by discriminating against artificially defined other “houses,” by defining siblings as outside “others,” forcing “others” to conform to one’s own wicked humanistic culture, by sentencing “others” to inordinate and harsh penalties through delusions, lies and unjust laws, by giving “others” unfair wages, fewer benefits and less rights, by exploiting, oppressing or enslaving “others,” by starting unprovoked wars against weaker “houses” so one might kill, plunder and lead “others” into captivity or forcibly deport them to places they can never call their true homes, by violently persecuting, illegally imprisoning, dehumanizing and terrorizing “houses” of “others,” and by the other evils they do to “others,” each humanist will “forfeit” (Hebrew = khawtaw , “condemn”) one’s own “life” (Hebrew = nephesh, “soul”). All the many factious sects of Babylon throughout the world today have done and still do these sins. All the humanists seek only shame and condemnation.

Thus, predestined woes will soon slay all who do not repent away from the lies of humanism and into the truths God created. The day of Jesus will finish literally all of them off. Even inanimate stones and wooden beams heard their words and saw their sins, and will testify against them. God in all existence will expose the blood from His “house” shed by them. All whom humanists oppressed, exploited and killed will be witnesses against them. All that these humanists used to build their grand edifices of human glory and power was stolen property, plundered and stained with the blood of the peoples in God’s “house.” For more than two and a half millenniums, Babylon’s humanistic sects built their cities on spilt blood and slave labour. Some greatly admire these humanists, because they worked so hard and with such ruthless cunning to accomplish their evil deeds. Often their fanatic “work ethic” was willing to sacrifice everything holy and good, even their own earthly and eternal lives, and the lives of many “inferiors,” for the sake of their coveted worldly gain. They abandoned their own families and loved ones for it. But work itself is not a virtue. Only ordinate labour for the loving purposes of God, our just sweat under His easy yoke, as we bear His light burdens, is virtue.

Therefore, the only reward humanists will receive for all their strenuous, sacrificial, zealous toiling will be the eternal fires of their own inner frustrations in hell. In that bottomless pit, they will be allowed to keep nothing they worked so hard to gain on earth, except the darkness of their own lies

and delusions, which they so carefully, diligently and exhaustively fashioned in the minds of their own spirits. Yes, they do work very hard and long hours, but only to earn the burning pain of strong desires rendered impotent in hell. All Babylon’s humanistic nations have wearied themselves to gain absolutely nothing. At the end of each day, each individual humanist finds only emptiness within and a meaningless existence. Then literally all are appointed to death in the flesh after their spirits’ brief moment of earthly perceptions. And when their spirits awake from that earthly dream, they will find themselves standing before the judgment throne of our God Jesus. But Jesus will drive those dark and worthless parasites into the darkness of their own delusions for all eternity, into their “house” and home of hell, where they will never again find anything real to grasp with their greedy hands.

However, the plundered elect will thrive in Christ, regaining the stewardship of a hundred times more than they lost on earth, filled with His knowledge, trained to completion and perfection as His beloved siblings, made able to use this knowledge and wisdom effectively for the good of all in His pure, just, loving “house” and home of heaven. Then out loving labors will fill us with even more joy than they did on earth, and bear even more fruit, without any tears caused by opposing parasites.

Through a humanist’s selfish ambition for an empty, meaningless, fake glory, based on delusions and lies, each merely creates a deeper, darker hell for oneself. But, although they also create hell on earth for their captive elect, the plundered elect have nothing to fear from the death of their flesh, since their fates will be the perfecting and completing of all that is true life in them, for eternal abundant life in heaven. Thus, the elect eventually find the courage to overcome their plunderers, and plunder them in the power of the saving Messiah, to pay those murderers back “for the blood of man and violence to earth” (2:8). And this will be especially true when “the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of Yahweh,” when the elect will finally know His true, just, equitable love.

Humanists often seek relief from their self-made hell. But, to escape the reality of their current and future hell, they simply flee into more delusions and lies, which creates even more darkness in both the minds of their spirits and in their brains of flesh. And, to create these self-esteeming, comforting delusions and lies, they always turn to an inordinate use of God’s good creations. Many abuse useful substances like alcohol, made from the harvest of fruits granted by God. Drunkenness or any other substance abuse helps them forget who and what they actually are. Then others seek relief through exploitative and selfish sexual sins, which provides their flesh with a brief moment of feeling deeply satisfied. So these self-worshipers misuse and abuse God’s good creations and their siblings just to gain relief from the hell they created for themselves. Then they even pressure their neighbors to drink from their own bottles, so they can add their own woes and troubles to their neighbors’ lives, and “gaze at their nakedness” at the same time (2:15). Then they call this kind of selfish exploitation a sexual revolution against the “tyranny” of the loving respect demanded by God, and say it is “free sex,” although it costs a huge payment invaluable self-respect, not to mention deadly STMs and so many other troubles in life that they are too many to list. But, to a humanist, up is down and evil is good; any reversal of truth into a lie and any transfer of one’s own guilt to the innocent is a win.

Their selfish, ruthless deeds reveal their contempt for their own siblings in the family of humankind, their unjust and unjustified “wrath” against their “neighbors.” For they lure their own friends and companions into the very same hell they made for themselves, showing absolutely no concern for the welfare of others. After all, a humanist’s “freedom” to be one’s own god is never truly free, and one forfeits all joy in life when one “liberates” oneself from the loving responsibilities that God requires for the benefit of His creations, especially for His own human children. That so-called “freedom” and “liberty” binds them in chains of innumerable anxieties, destroys relationships through the lies they tell to cover up their sins, stirs up bitterness, causes all kinds of fights, rips apart families, forces

children to live without a father or a mother, burdens the innocent, spreads deadly diseases and results in many deaths, even by forcing mothers to kill their own babies in their own wombs. Then its fleeting feeling of peace, of feeling that one is indeed the god of one’s own destiny, ends so quickly that they must immediately turn to more opiates and other delusions for relief. This is their whole life. They live only to find some way to escape from their dark, empty, loveless, hellish lives.

In all of Babylon’s humanistic sects throughout history, to this very day, wanna-be human gods have dreamed that their purpose in life is their own glory. Then the chief psychopaths delude themselves into thinking their nation, cult, gang or other hierarchical institution is their property and merely an extension of themselves. For those parasites cannot look outside themselves, are incapable of ever comprehending that half the people they deem to be their inanimate property are actually thinking, breathing, loving, productive and far more valuable than them in every way. So those wanna-be gods attempt to carve up the world, endlessly warring to gain more of God’s people and God’s land for themselves. They kill, plunder and destroy, causing suffering and death through their deluded inner lusts and insanity. Then, as gods, they judge who is more valuable for promoting their own glory and who is less, carefully and forcefully placing each on a separate level of their own invented hierarchy.

Humanists must worship man, must worship themselves, must lie and murder to steal from God, in their futile attempts to replace God as the gods of God’s creations. Satan, the master and owner of their souls, will never allow them to become sane and stop their self-destructive ways. For that devil created their spirits in his own image, made their spirits to think in the same way his spirit thinks. So, just because the humanistic way of thinking is utterly destructive insanity, and always ends in costly failures, it does not deter them from thinking that way. And just because God’s just, equitable ways have always proven to be far more wise and beneficial, humanists will always hate and reject them.

Humanists are not rational and do not base life decisions on truths, realities and evidence. Rather, their lives are guided by their spirits’ arrogant desire to be gods, by an inner hope for more god-like power and glory. They have no sense of being one with all God’s people and all God’s creations by trusting in the words and ways of our God Jesus. The devil created their loveless spirits for only one purpose, to greedily grasp and destroy. So they possess no will nor any power to deviate from that insane, vain road to hell. And the only way their obsession to gain god-like status can be held in check, to save God’s people and His lands from their destruction, is through physical force. For it is impossible to reason with their insane delusions. Humanists are all like Hitler and Trump worshipers.

Therefore, let every nation and body of people make just laws and policies, then judge solely by the motives and intentions of each individual’s heart, showing mercy to those who are able to reason and repent, but keeping the stubbornly unrepentant limited or imprisoned, so they cannot harm others. And a good government, through a due process which takes the time to carefully evaluate, should also execute psychopaths for the safety of all, if they refuse to stop harming or murdering. And none of this can be done by humanists, since justice and love can only be built on God’s democratic laws and ways, with freedom of conscience and religion, by trusting in God to develop faith and upright love in each individual’s spirit. To have justice and loving communities, all decision makers (elders) must be chosen from those God chose to teach and train as His faithful, just, wise, loving servants.

God also told us: “What profit is an idol when its maker has shaped it, a metal image, a teacher of lies? For its maker trusts his own creation when he makes speechless idols! Woe to him who says to a wooden thing, Awake; to a silent stone, Arise! Can this teach? Behold, it is overlaid with gold and silver, and there is no breath at all in it. But Yahweh is in His holy temple; let all the earth keep silence before Him” (Hab. 2:18-20, ESV). This seemed to be about Nebuchadnezzar, Babylon’s king

at that time or a few years later, who promoted the religion of humanism throughout his empire by creating a “speechless idol” for everyone in his empire to worship. That king made a golden statue of a man, which was entirely covered with gold. And he seemed to make it in order to superstitiously counter the prophecy of his dream which he had earlier. In his dream, Nebuchadnezzar saw a statue of a man with a head of gold, representing himself. But the rest of the body was silver, bronze and iron, representing three lesser kings and kingdoms after him. So his new all-golden statue seemed to be his vain attempt to revise the prophecy of his dream, to make it so that he and his descendants would always rule his empire, so the other three kingdoms would not exist after him (see Dan. 2:1 to 3:30). Like all humanists, Nebuchadnezzar was trying applying his human will to oppose God’s will.

About the time Habakkuk gave this prophecy, or within a few years after it, Nebuchadnezzar had his prophetic dream. And Yahweh revealed his dream to Daniel, then taught Daniel what it meant (Dan. 2:19-23). God told Daniel that it was a prophecy about the next three empires that would grow out of Babylon, each with their own kings, meaning those three would not be different peoples, and their kings would not descend from Nebuchadnezzar’s flesh. Yet all three would have Nebuchadnezzar as their head, as the king of their thoughts and actions, administering his will through his religion of humanism. All three would be worshipers of man, just like Nebuchadnezzar and Babylon, obsessed with selfish ambition, forming hierarchical class systems led by arrogant wanna-be human gods who exploited their siblings in the family of humankind. Then the next three kingdoms of Babylon did come. Persia, Greece and Rome routinely made metal, stone or wooden statues of human figures, then bowed before them to seek counsel. All four empires became the beast, the world’s greatest and final enemy of God and His elect children. This is why, in the apostle Paul’s list of idols created by ruthless sinners, the image of a mortal man was placed first and foremost on that list (Rom. 1:22-23).

Man has always been the principal god worshipped by the fourth kingdom of Babylon, especially by the beast’s fourth and last kingdom of the Roman Empire, which now rules the entire world. But man was first worshiped in Babylon, then in Persia and Greece, before Rome worshiped man. And notice how God’s prophecy through Habakkuk called every idol “a teacher of lies.” For each human god represents a body of human teaching based on a human’s foolish, self-serving delusions and lies. So, if people worship idols that teach them lies, especially idols in human forms, then they will also believe the false teachings of those idols, and emulate the behaviors of those idols heard in the myths invented about those immoral, violent, unjust gods. The people will live their lives according to the foolish, self-serving delusions and lies of those gods. But, to be a good, people must esteem, emulate and serve a good, just, loving god. And there is only one good God, the Creator, Yahweh of Israel.

Every worshipped god is essentially a teacher of laws and ways to live by. So, if one worships God alone, one will be taught and trained by God alone. And God alone teaches genuine truth, the ways that He personally created to be most effective and beneficial for all that lives. So let our spirits “keep silence before Him,” so we might hear His teachings pouring into our hearts, wo we might learn to become a little more wise and mature in our spirits each day. Then, with His power and will working with us, as we do His will on earth as it is done in heaven, we will build up life on the earth.

Then Habakkuk wrote down a prayer “according to Shigionoth” (3:1). This prayer may also be a song, since ‘Shigionoth’ seems to be a musical term. But, if it is a song, it does not alter the fact that it is also from a man who called himself “the prophet” here (3:1). So this song is a literal prophecy about the distant future, a prophecy that meant exactly what it seems to mean. And this prophecy is about God’s wrath striking Babylon (the beast) and the whole world in the future, in the end times. Even as a song, it is a prophecy, one which Habakkuk wanted to be recited and sung so that his people would remember its words. Habakkuk wanted us to remember it because he knew that God

would cause great tribulation for the whole world in the future, and we need to spiritually prepare for this, so we will not panic or lose hope when that time of horrors falls upon us. Instead, we should keep sound and rational minds of faith in God and His works, so we might also do our works well.

God granted a vision to Habakkuk, when he prayed this: “O Yahweh, I have heard the report of You, and Your work. O Yahweh, I do fear. In the midst of the years revive it; in the midst of the years make it known; in wrath remember mercy” (3:2). Habakkuk knew and understood God’s great anger against a murdering, thieving world. But he also knew and understood God’s work of salvation through love, with His unlimited forgiveness and unmerited grace. So Habakkuk prayed for Yahweh to revive that work of salvation in the midst of His coming wrath upon the whole earth, and to make His salvation known, to remember mercy for His elect children. And God would do this. As soon as the end times of God’s wrath begin, He will revive His elect and gather them into His true New Covenant church of Israel. Then, throughout His end-time plagues of wrath, our God Jesus will gather more into His true church through repentance, until the fulness of Gentile elect have entered. Then our Messiah and God Jesus will return to Jerusalem and all the elect Jews will also recognize Him as their God among them. So even this prayer of Habakkuk was an end-times prophecy as well.

In this verse (3:2), the two instances of the word “it” are interpolated, added to the translation, but not found in the original Hebrew text. And they likely should be left out, since they seem to obscure the meaning of this verse. For Habakkuk was not praying that God would make known the “report” of His wrath and of God’s work causing his fear. Habakkuk was actually praying that, at sometime in the middle of the years of God’s wrath, God would “revive” or “make alive” His people, while He would also “make known” or “reveal” or “make recognized” the reason for His wrath. He prayed that God, in His wrath, would also remember His people in “mercy” or “with compassion.” Thus, we can see that Habakkuk’s prophecy is about a long period of wrath occurring sometime in the future, but he wanted God to bring revival, knowledge and mercy “in the midst of the years” of His wrath.

Previously, Habakkuk prophesied about “the destruction of the beasts that terrified them,” about how God’s wrath would crush Babylon “for the blood of man and violence to the earth, to cities and all who dwell in them” (2:17). In the future, God would end the terrorism of Babylon’s four kingdoms, and His “destruction” were prophesied to come when the final and most demonic of Babylonian “beasts” walks upon the earth, when He will pulverize that beast’s Roman kingdom into dust. Also, Habakkuk further prophesied this about that future time: “God came from Teman, and the Holy One from Mount Paran. Selah. His splendor covered the heavens, and the earth was full of His praise. His brightness was like the light; rays flashed from His hand; and there He veiled His power. Before Him went pestilence, and plague followed at His heels. He stood and measured the earth; He looked and shook the nations; then the eternal mountains were scattered; the everlasting hills sank low. His were the everlasting ways” (3:3-6, ESV). By the way, Teman seems to be in what is now southern Jordan and Mount Paran in what is now the Sinai Peninsula. So God comes from the skies, as “His splendor covered the heavens” in “brightness,” killing the wicked with “pestilence” and “plagues” in front of and behind Him. But, before he lands, He passes over parts of ancient Edom in modern Jordan and parts of the Sinai Peninsula. So is this to inflict His wrath on them or to bless them? Then He returns to Judah and “there He veiled His power,” so His appearance will become like that of a mortal man.

This is about the coming of the Messiah Jesus, who is here called “God” and “the Holy One.” For the other prophets and the apostles also described Jesus’ second advent in a way that completely harmonizes with Habakkuk’s prophecy. Also note how there will be world-wide praise for Him at His glorious arrival, since “the earth was full of His praise” at that time. This refers to all of the elect on the whole earth, who will still remain alive after Jesus kills the non-elect with “pestilence” and

“plagues” as He comes. Then Habakkuk says, “and there He veiled His power.” From the previous prophecies, Habakkuk knew the Messiah would come in glory to Jerusalem’s temple in Judah, with His salvation for the elect. And this is definitely a Messianic prophecy, a vision God gave to the prophet Habakkuk about the return and salvation of the Messiah Jesus. Then, at His arrival, God will once again take a body of human flesh for Himself, so he could “veil” His omnipotent power, so we could approach Him. Jesus will come to us the second time in a human body, just as He did the first time He came to us (see Acts 1:11). Then our God Jesus will walk among us all, until the earth ends.

Also note how this Messiah-God will descend from the direction of a place located southwest of Jerusalem (from Teman and Mount Paran). But most of the beast’s army will attack Israel by marching through the valleys of Armageddon, which is northeast of Jerusalem, in the opposite direction. And Jesus will surely pass over them to destroy them before He sets His feet on the Mount of Olives. So Jesus will surely come from the east, or northeast. Yet the beast will also surround Jerusalem, meaning he will send shock troops around the Jerusalem area, into the regions southwest of there too. Therefore, Habakkuk’s prophecy might suggest that Jesus will also make a detour into Jordan and the Sinai Peninsula, to destroy the beast’s armies there too, before coming to Jerusalem.

But before our God and Messiah Jesus descends to the earth, He will send a plague upon the flesh of the beast’s armies, all who war against Him, where “their flesh will consume away while they stand on their feet, and their eyes will consume away in their sockets, and their tongue will consume away in their mouth” (Zech. 14:12). And this plague can also be described as the “sword” of the Lord from His mouth (Rev. 19:21). Habakkuk called it “pestilence” (Hebrew = resheph, “burning coal, flame”) with a “plague” (Hebrew = deber , “pestilence, plague, destruction”) at His feet. So it seems that, after the beast’s international armies turn against one another and a significant number of them kill one another, the rest of that army will be burned alive, just before Jesus sets His feet on the ground.

It also says our God and Messiah “stood and measured the earth; He looked and shook the nations; then the eternal mountains were scattered; the everlasting hills sank low. His were the everlasting ways” (Hab. 3:6, ESV). When He “measured the earth,” it means He carefully judged the motives and intentions of each individual spirit in the whole world. Here the word “earth,” followed by the reinforcing word “nations,” emphasizes the world-wide scope of this prophecy. The entire world will be shaken before the Messiah Jesus returns. This will begin in the era of the sixth seal, with meteors striking the earth like bombs and world-wide earthquakes. After this occurs, “the eternal mountains were scattered” and “the everlasting hills sank low.” This is figuratively referring to nations, cultures and other hierarchies on the earth, all that are based on Babylon’s ways. Humanists think their ways shall exist forever, as we see in their works of fiction about the distant future. But all their oppressive economic and political “mountains” and “hills,” designed to oppress their people, are temporary. All will all soon break apart and scatter, or sink low, raising the levels of the valleys of the “lowly” they artificially created. For only God’s just, equitable and loving ways are truly everlasting. Our God Jesus will only allow His ways to exist on earth, where He values each one’s unique destiny as equal.

Next, Habakkuk declares this from his vision: “I saw the tents of Cushan in affliction; the curtains of the land of Midian did tremble. Was Your wrath against the rivers, O Yahweh? Was Your anger against the rivers, or Your indignation against the sea, when You rode Your horses, on your chariot of salvation? You stripped the sheath from Your bow, calling for many arrows. Selah. You split the earth with rivers. The mountains saw You and writhed; the raging waters swept on; the deep gave forth its voice; it lifted its hands on high. The sun and moon stood still in their place at the light of your arrows as they sped, at the flash of Your glittering spear. You marched through the earth in fury; You threshed the nations in anger. You went out for the salvation of Your people, for the salvation of Your

anointed. You crushed the head of the house of the wicked, laying him bare from thigh to neck. Selah. You pierced with his own arrows the heads of his warriors, who came like a whirlwind to scatter me, rejoicing as if to devour the poor in secret. You trampled the sea with your horses, the surging of mighty waters” (Hab. 3:7-15, ESV). This is clearly about the Messiah called Yahweh God, riding on horses like a mortal man, coming to save His elect people by destroying the wicked.

Habakkuk saw afflicted people in tents at Cushan, just west of the Red Sea, in modern southeastern Egypt. And next to them, in the land of Midian, which is now the northwest corner of Saudi Arabia, he saw curtains tremble, presumably the coverings over the entrances to tents, held by shaking hands as the people in those tents peered outside. These people in those two contiguous lands seemed to be armies living in temporary camps. And both feared the “wrath” of Yahweh, the Messiah, riding on horses like a King at war, on His “chariot of salvation.” But that King’s wrath was not against the rivers to the west of them, not against the Red Sea between them. He came against them, and this King was unstoppable. So we might assume that the beast’s international armies will first begin to recapture some of the lands the beast had taken at the start of his reign, before they surround the Jews in Jerusalem. They will move into territories on the other side of Jerusalem, all the way into Egypt, likely including the Sinai Peninsula and Israel’s port at Eliat. For the beast will likely want to retake all of Israel before he finishes off the last of the Jews in Jerusalem and gloats. But, while that beast’s armies are still camped in the lands south of Jerusalem, our God Jesus will return to Israel.

Bows were carried in cases or sheaths until the battle began. But now the Messiah removed His bow from its sheath. For now the time had finally come to shoot arrows at His enemies, and He called for many arrows, because there were many enemies to slay that day. And not one of His arrows would miss their target, since this was the almighty God aiming them, the God who split the lands with rivers, to form the borders of many different peoples. His wrath would not cease either, but rage on like the waters of those rivers. Then even the depth of the sea would add its voice in mighty waves to greet the coming of Yahweh Jesus, a though it was lifting its hands on high, in praise for Him. And this day of His coming would see earthly time wait for Him to fully complete His works of salvation, along with the destruction of the wicked, since even the sun and the moon would stand still until His feet touched the ground in Jerusalem. The light of His speeding arrows and flashing spear would finish off every unrepentant, deliberate liar and murderer in the world. Literally all the loveless non-elect would perish as He “marched through the earth in fury” and “threshed the nations in anger.”

But this death of wicked will be for a good purpose, to stop the oppression and murdering of the elect on earth by the non-elect. On that day, it will be said that Jesus “went out for the salvation of His people, for the salvation of His anointed.” And, by that day of His second advent, all the elect on earth will be “anointed,” will have been “sealed” as the property of God, as the κυριακοί of our God Jesus, gathered into His eternal priesthood of Israel. On that day, Jesus will have “crushed the head of the house of the wicked, laying him bare from thigh to neck.” Babylon, the head of the four kingdoms of the beast, with all its exploitative hierarchical class systems and human gods, will be utterly crushed into dust, and exposed as a lying delusion, laid bare for all to see its shame. For all its warriors will lie dead, all its power to terrorize and subjugate. That head of Babylon will be pierced and thoroughly annihilated by his own arrows, by his own decision to war against God and God’s priesthood nation of Israel. Babylon’s beast had come to scatter Israel, “rejoicing as if to devour the poor in secret.” But it backfired on him. For Jesus “trampled the sea” of his international armies with His horses from heaven, and brought “the surging of mighty waters” from his land into silent death.

God will attack a third of the earth’s physical oceans and a third of the earth’s physical rivers during the times of the second and third trumpets. Later, He will also ruin all the rivers in the beast’s

homeland and in the Mediterranean Sea, during the times of the second and third bowls of His wrath. And perhaps this is why Habakkuk asked if God will devastate rivers and seas because He is angry at them, or because He is angry with the people of the world. Obviously, the answer is that He is angry about the deliberate sins of humans, to whom He granted the knowledge of both good and evil, to whom He gave the responsibility of tending the garden of plants on earth, and caring for the welfare of all its living creatures, by working together as His family. Since Babylon taught men to oppress and murder one another, then destroy His garden and His creatures for self-indulgent gain, God will take away the life-giving properties of those waters. For He is indeed very angry with the deliberate sins of those who use His rivers and seas for their selfish purposes, to work pain and death to human life and other life through their sins, to make rivers and oceans filled with innocent blood.

Then also look at how Habakkuk saw a vision of the Messiah-God riding horses, on His “chariot of salvation.” This is something like the vision John saw, of Jesus coming in His glory on a white horse, with the armies of heaven on horses (see Rev. 19:11,19). But John seemed to say the Messiah “sat” (Greek = κάθημαι, “sit, remain”) on a horse. Yet riding a horse could be done in two ways, on its back or on a chariot. And Habakkuk saw Jesus riding on a chariot, not on the back of a horse. But Jesus could do both on that long day of His second coming, when the sun and moon stand still. He could switch from one to the other, as kings did in long battles. Jesus will kill the wicked all over the entire earth, perhaps using a chariot to shoot figurative arrows and spears from afar, but riding on a horse to use His sword directly upon the worst of His enemies. All we know is that, on that day, each of Christ’s blows will find a target, and every wicked non-elect soul on earth will surely die that day.

In the end times, during the eras of the sixth and seventh seals, just before Jesus returns, God will also create new rivers. One place where a new river will flow will be out of the temple in Jerusalem (Zech. 14:8 and Joel 3:18), after an earthquake in the city (Rev. 11:13). Then, after Jesus returns, as He restores the earth, many new and old rivers will flow again. And water brings life. So, when Jesus comes to slaughter the liars and murderers, He will not do so just to punish them in vengeance, but to bring abundant life for His elect throughout the earth. God does not act through rage alone, but His anger is always accompanied by love, with good and just reasons for all His actions. Our God Jesus always maintains self-control. All He does is purposeful, with a goal of serving His creations.

And notice how Habakkuk ensures us once more that God’s wrath will not be confined to the Middle East, but our Messiah Jesus will march “through the earth,” so He might beat down and thresh the “nations” of the entire world, preserving the wheat and casting out the chaff. For all the nations of the world worshipped humans in hierarchical class systems, through Satan’s Babylonian religion of humanism. And, although God sent His elect servants to them, they did not heed His warnings, but killed those elect. Yet, after the sixth seal’s revival, God will also work salvation for His anointed ones, that is, for His elect in the world. So the destruction of the arrogant non-elect will be for two purposes: (1) to rid the earth of all who oppress and murder His elect, as well as (2) to expose their lies, so His elect shall walk in the truth, in the foundation of just, God-like love. His elect will be anointed by Him, to serve Him in the end times, by serving His people and all His living creations.

So Jesus is coming with wrath against the non-elect to free His elect from the spiritual and physical tyranny of lies. Jesus will crush every humanist, every wanna-be god striving to be worshipped by so-called “inferiors,” and kill “the head of the house of the wicked, laying him bare from thigh to neck.” And that “head” is Babylon and Satan, represented by the demonically controlled beast in the end times. Not only will Satan and the beast be cast into hell, but their body of followers and false doctrines will also be exposed and laid bare, clearly seen as deviations from the realities created by

God, in opposition to God’s effective, life-preserving truths. And all of that devils’ offspring, all those selfish fools believing and repeating their father’s wicked lies for earthly rewards, will perish.

The beast, Satan’s own messiah, will lure a great army to his side, spewing out great swelling words to extol his “noble” mission of “freeing” all the earth from the “tyranny” of being equal and just, so all can bow before his terrorism and worship him. That fascist despot will convince his dupes that he is finally ridding the world of what he will call the “ignorant superstition” of faith in God. Then his deluded international troops, all armed to the teeth, will come to murder God’s people in Israel, destroy Jerusalem and turn the birthplace of faith into a wasteland. The beast will want to destroy any trace of God or godliness from the land, thinking that his destruction of the physical place will destroy the spirits’ faith in all God’s elect, and even the Holy Spirit of the Creator. Yet, despite all his false reasoning to justify and even glorify his futile and ignoble deeds, the reality will remain that the beast and his armies will come for the purpose of murdering honest souls who expose their petty, selfish, ignorant, hypocritical motives, then greedily acquire some plunder for his own selfish gain.

In the end times, the fascist beast and his armies will live solely through the motivations of pure hate alone, as all humanistic zealots have in the past. Their whole hearts will strongly desire a vile and vindictive revenge on all who speak the truth against their lies, on all who see them for what they truly are, as worthless parasites. For the beast, their great and worshipped leader himself, will be like all the other humanistic despots of the past, just another self-absorbed fool who will “devour the poor in secret,” who exploits the weak while disguising himself as a “great” strongman, as a noble and benevolent “leader” seeking what is expedient and right for the sakes of his people. Ye he will be just another worthless psychopath with a golden tongue, spitting out the lies that the covetous souls of the other loveless non-elect want to hear. Neither he nor his minions will love no one and only will be capable of highly conditional relationships which serve their own narrow, selfish purposes.

Seeing a vision of the beast’s vast armies crossing the sea to attack Israel in the end times, caused Habakkuk to tremble. To see the blind hatred for his people in the stern faces of so many heavily armed fanatics terrified him to his bones. Realizing that this mighty enemy would be coming to slaughter his beloved family of Israel made his legs shake. But those were human men, weakened by far more lies and addictions to deluding comforts than God’s elect. And the almighty Creator still ruled from heaven too. So God took Habakkuk into the actual future, to see what would truly happen at that time. Yes, Habakkuk saw the reality of how bad the end times would be for Israel, but also how his saving God and Messiah would return to destroy that worthless enemy. Then Habakkuk knew that literally all human beings are extremely limited souls, capable of learning only a little truth and wisdom, only strong enough to do a few small works during our very short lives on earth, and incapable of accomplishing anything that desperately needed to be done for their own salvation.

Habakkuk could write down God’s prophecy to help Israel spiritually and mentally prepare for the future invasions. But even as he did this, most sinners in Israel would refuse to hear the message he received from God, and would not repent nor prepare. Then the fake church leaders, who made good money from their lies, would try to silence Habakkuk, since they loved the ways of Babylon. The fakes wanted the people to think Habakkuk was just another fool who was selfishly bitter about their new religion, so he was spewing out nonsense invented in his own mind of flesh, just like all the other religious leaders did in his day, and still do today. So the duped people soon felt justified when they ignored God’s words, and continued to practice their Babylonian-modified religion, which trampled the poor, righteous and loving, while enabling exploiters to abuse themselves. But if the people carefully weighed the words written by Habakkuk and God’s other prophets, they would have

discerned that the words were indeed from God, critical truths sent by God. And their fake religious leaders were actually deluded, bitter fools, not Habakkuk. The people sorely needed to fully repent.

Luther once told us that anger resembled godly zeal, and a quick temper resembled a godly impulse to war against injustice and lies, against that which hurt and killed our loved ones. But this carnal anger and a quick temper of the flesh were a false zeal and fake righteous indignation. They were actually nothing like the true zeal for genuine truth, which Jesus builds in the spirit, nor anything like the spontaneous impulse of a redeemed spirit to defend loved ones from evil. Still, resemblances are difficult for even the mature in Christ to discern from the real things, because none of us possess very much knowledge and wisdom. Whether someone has carnal anger or the zeal of a redeemed spirit, a quick temper or a genuine love of truth and justice, is something that only God can always discern. So most demonic deceivers use our lack of discernment to pretend their anger against the truth and their religious rhetoric, along with their falsely “noble” zeal, is real. They make their dupes believe that their quick temper against anything which disturbs their wicked plotting is due to their great love for God and His people. Then, when those liars see a man who actually loves God and God’s people, who also earnestly seeks truth and justice for the sakes of his beloved people, those deceivers try to make the people think those true servants of God are wicked, angry and impulsive.

So the wicked make themselves look good and make the good look wicked. They make the humanly weak servants of God look like servants of Satan, although they are really the servants of Satan who pretend to be strong servants of God. They transfer their own evil to the good, and their own blame to the innocent. But this is partly how we can discern between the true and false servants of God. For God’s true servants know that they know very little and are weak, while the fakes try to convince others that they know everything and are strong, so everyone will bow before them and trust them.

The fakes in the churches and synagogues actually slander Jesus, our perfect and sinless God, in this way, by claiming to teach or prophecy in His name, by claiming their lies are God’s words. Then, whenever God’s true elect servants sternly rebuke those slandering psychopaths, those psychopaths calmly say, “Tisk, tisk. Look at how unloving and how un-Christian that one is behaving!” And those psychopaths can remain calm because they very confidently worship themselves as their own gods, even as their own omniscient and omnipotent gods. They do not feel threatened by the real God, nor by the real truth, because they are so deluded that it is impossible for their spirits to understand that they have doomed themselves to live in the darkness of their own lies and delusions for all eternity.

Then, since so many elect in those fake churches and false synagogues have spirits completely untaught by the real God, and remain comfortably carnal, suppressing their spirits continuously, so they can believe those psychopaths. So even most of the elect have always turned against and have even persecuted the true servants sent by God, while blindly obeying the psychopaths who bullied and exploited them. This is standard practice in all churches and synagogues. Those humanists have always forgotten how exactly the same kinds of liars portrayed our wise, patient, loving Jesus as an angry, impatient fool too. When Jesus zealously drove out the greedy money-changers, to make room for the elect Gentiles to pray to their heavenly Father, those humanists wanted to arrest and kill Jesus for exposing their carnal schemes to make money for themselves. It took the psychopaths time to deceive enough people to carry out their plots against Jesus. But they did succeed in the end, since Jesus let them succeed. For Jesus knew His body had to die to pay for the sins of the flesh done by His weak elect. Now, the same kinds of liars still do the same things, and cause many elect spirits to close their ears to the truths God sends through His real servants. Thus, Jesus is coming soon to kill those deceivers. Then, on the final judgment day, God will condemn those false preachers for both

for their own sins as well as for the sins of His deceived elect children. For those fakes prevented elect souls from heeding God’s Spirit, and kept them from finding His abundant life full of love.

There will indeed be immeasurable pain and suffering in hell for those false teachers, even far more than there will be for the secular murderers who did not proclaim lies in God’s name. Still, the faithful servants of God cannot force spirits to heed God’s genuine truths. All they can do is proclaim what God reveals and do what Habakkuk did. Habakkuk said he would “quietly wait for the day of trouble to come upon people who invade us.” He would not fret anxiously as he waited for God to destroy the wicked invaders from Babylon, who came in his own lifetime and would come again in the distant future, under the banner of the Roman beast. The beast will indeed invade Israel in the end times, and we will fight against him, knowing we cannot win. Yet we will see victory, because Jesus will destroy them all on the day He returns. Until then, we simply do whatever God gives our hands the ability to do each day, leaving the rest to Him. For we realize that we are weak and only Jesus can save us and our loved ones. We know we have no power to save ourselves or anyone else.

Now let me look at more of Zachariah’s prophecies about the Messiah’s final advent and the beast’s destruction. The twelfth chapter has already been exegeted above, where I wrote about the birth of “Babylon, the Great Prostitute, Mother of Harlots.” So an explanation of that chapter will not be repeated here. Then Zech. 11:4-17 and chapter thirteen were previously exegeted under the topic of how the beast destroys the Great Prostitute. But, although all these topics overlap, these prophecies from Zechariah seem to belong under this current topic, about how Jesus returns to destroy the beast.
