The courage to confront.

If you've never listened toThe Rise and Fall of MarsHillpodcast (courtesy of Christianity Today), then I highly suggest you do. It's a great insight into how a church that was very much for Jesus and His people can easily fall victim to one person's harmful agenda.

Life is messy. Church is messy. But I know as Jesus followers and servants to His people, we are tasked withabiding in Himso we can bear fruit. And when we see bad fruit in the church, fruit that spoils and is poisonous to us and those around us, we have a duty to gently and respectfully voice these wrongdoings.

Otherwise? We remain complicit in the behavior. We all know sometimes not doing something is the worst sin of all.

My prayer is that we remain strong in Christ, remembering that being a Christian isn't being a doormat (just take a look atPaulwhen you need a reminder!) but being a strong advocate for God's Kingdom here on earth.
