Unraveling in the wind.

There’s so much outward expression of our pain.

The detritus we collect, the clothes we wear, the attitude we present to the world.

And one thing I’ve learned is that you can’t change anyone, which really seems like quite the bummer.

(I, for one, crave control.)

But then I always remember: God can.

This is why prayer is vital.

This is why replacing lies with truth is key.

We live in a world of acceptance, but I find it hard to accept when someone I love is attempting to load a proverbial gun.

And I believe most do, too, if they’re willing to admit it.

And I’ve learned throughout this process that caching worry for those I love is a negligible act.

Why worry when the author of this world has already worked out the ending?

And we already know our God is anything but incompetent.

So may this be a prayer as God works and weaves throughout our lives, tying the loose ends and securing us into place, braiding back together those we love intent on unraveling in the wind.
