Sharing the glow.

I’ve tried to run away from writing several times now.

And sometimes, the enemy has used people I’ve confided in to make me second-guess myself.

But more often than not, God sends someone to encourage me right back to the place I started.

It’s a battlefield of the mind, really.

Do I want to share truth, or do I want to be liked?

Do I want to reveal my heart or keep it locked inside my chest?

I often think about the verse that tells us to guard our hearts, but that doesn’t mean not sharing what we know is fundamentally corrupt.

It’s about keeping our very souls protected from the prowling lion.

Because ultimately, none of this is about wanting. It’s about taking in the world and seeing it through God’s lens, through the book He’s written for us.

It’s about not burying our talents or snuffing our light under a bushel.

It’s about sharing the glow God gives us to love others, bringing them closer to Him while gently exposing the darkness.
