The “why” is the softest scream
I’ve ever spoke into existence.
I liken it in my mind’s eye
To Your Word, the Christ,
whispered into the void,
the “tohu vavohu” as it were,
The Hebrew ringing
And weaving
It’s way through
My heart
Like my
own noise
coiling
through
my
soul.
