Chapter 3.

JESUS’S BIRTH AT THE BEGINNING OF TIME AS THE SON OF GOD.

We start this timeline at the birth of Jesus as the one and only Son of God because Jesus’s birth was the most important event of this period. In John 1:1 we read “in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light for men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. Please note that there were two births of Jesus. The first birth was before the God made anything else and the second was when he was born as human through Mary. John 1:1-2 is applicable to both these events, but mainly to the original creation of the heavens and the earth.

The birth of Jesus is further described in Colossians 1:15. “Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature, for by him were all things created that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be throne, or dominions, or principalities or powers: all things were created by him and for him. And he is before all things and by him all things consists and he is the head of the body, the church who is the beginning the first born from the dead, that in all things he might have the pre-eminence, for it pleased the Farther that in him should all fullness dwell, And having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven”

Although it is normally accepted that Proverbs was written by Solomon, clearly the person described in Proverbs 8 is Jesus. We read the following in this Proverb: “The Lord possessed me in the beginning of his way, Before his works of old. (before His deeds of old: NIV). I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was. When there were no depths (Afrikaans wereld vloede) and watery depths NIV) I was brought forth, when there were no fountains abounding with water. Before the mountains were settled, Before the hills, was I brought forth: While yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the highest part of the dust of the world. When he prepared the heavens, I was there: When he set a compass upon the face of the depth (sea/waters). When he established the clouds above; When he strengthened the fountains of the deep: When he gave to the sea his decree, that the water should not pass his commandment. When he appointed the foundations of the earth:

Then I was by Him, as one brought up with Him; And I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him: Rejoicing in the habitable part of his earth. And my delights were with the sons of men. Now therefore hearken unto me, O ye children: For blessed are they that keep my ways. Hear instructions and be wise and refuse it not. Blessed is the man heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors. For whoso findeth me, findeth life and shall obtain favour of the Lord. But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul; All they that hate me love death.”

In Isaiah 45:18 it says, “For thus saith the Lord that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD: and there is none else.” The original word for the word, “vain” in the NIV is not to be empty and in other translations “not as a waste or empty”. In Hebrew it is the word “Tahou”

Jesus was therefore the very first other Godly figure who was born in the beginning of the “past eternity”, if I can call it so. When this happened, we will maybe one day hear and understand, but till then, lets believe what the Bible talks about in John 1:1-5.

Later other things were created that are in heaven and in and on the earth. This will include Lucifer and other angels and cherubim and heavenly “things” like the 24 elders, the four (4) beasts full of eyes, one looking like a lion, one looking like a calf, one with a face like a man and one looking like a flying eagle.
