Chapter 20: “Satan and Death (Hades) talk about Jesus’s death”

While they were all still glad and in good mood, Satan the ruler of darkness, appears and started talking to Death. Satan said “You who consumes everyone and never gets enough, listen to me! There is somebody from the Jewish tribe on his way here. His name is Jesus, and he calls himself the Son of God, but he is only a human. By deceptions I convinced the Jews to crucify him. Now that he is dead, you must be ready so that we can keep him captured here. I know that he is just a man because I heard him say that he is very heartsore so that he can die of it. He caused me a lot of damage lately. He chased out the demons working for me, he healed the cripple people, the blind and the sick which I have made so, by just using one word. There were many people I had so far, they should only have been buried. But death asked Satan, “If he is so strong that he can do all these things by just saying one word, will you be able to stand up against him? It looks to me, there is nobody that will be able to stand up against him. You said you heard him say he fairs death, but maybe he was just teasing you and laugh at you because he just wanted to overpower you with his power. Poor you, it seems that you are doomed for eternity! But Satan answered death by saying: “Death, you who devour all and never get enough, did you got so fearful when you heard about our communal enemy? I was not afraid of him! I used the Jews to crucify him and gave him gul and vinegar to drink. You must prepare yourself to get him good in your grip when he comes down to you.” But Dearth answered Satan, “oh Ruler of darkness, child of the perdition, devil, you just told me that he brought people back to life who should have only been buried, if he could safe others from the grave, where are you and I going to find enough power to stand up against him. I can recall a man called Lasarus who was dead for a while been ripped from here by a man of the world above by only one word. I think that is the same man you are talking about. He did not leave here like a dead man but rather like an eagle flying away from me. I am afraid if he comes down here, he is going to take away all the people that I brought here from the beginning of the world. I

therefore based on our good relationship, to not bring him down here. I beg you. I have stomach ache! I tell you; he is coming this way to resurrect all the dead people so that nobody will be left down here!”
