Foundation for the construction of the temple
For no one can lay a foundation other than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. But if anyone builds on that foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, each one's work will become evident; the day will show it, because it will be revealed by fire. And fire will test each one's work of what kind. If anyone's work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward; but if anyone's work is burned up, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet as through fire.
Do you not know that you are God's temple, and that God's Spirit dwells in you? If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him, for God's temple is holy, and that is what you are.
Let no man deceive himself. If any of you thinks he is wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may become wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness before God. For it is written, He catches the wise in their own craftiness.
