82. The Fat of Past Memory

“What are we
Running away
From here?” I ask
Me all the time.
Because I know
Closed-fist
And brave-hearted
Are the only roads
I can travel.
But there’s a little part
Of me that stays fed
On the fat of past
Memory.
So, there I go,
Weighed
and weighted down
Suffering from all
I refuse to give You.
