For our spiritual advancement, we might construct a three stage program, which we repeat until holy: (1.) We identify and examine the problem and our foolish attachment to it. We do this in both structured mediation and on our feet as we encounter problems. We hold the temptation or imperfection at arm’s length to break the emotional cycle which feeds itself. This emotional cycle usually proceeds away from perfection and towards self: pity, indulgence, destruction.
We recall our goal (incorporation into Christ) and our reasons. We compare our proposed action to the person Christ, 157
and not only the first century Christ, but the present day Christ: the mother, the worker, the person at leisure, danger or trouble.
We think of our past failings in which we fail at the peak of temptation, only to kick ourselves later.
(2.) We ride out the peak and steamroll to virtue on the downside. We do not worry about the consequences, God will arrange those. We maintain focus on the only thing that lasts or has value, our participation in Christ.
(3.) Cultivation of peace is the next (and necessary) event. We must not eliminate vice, pride and worry, only to complain of boredom.QQQQQ Our calling is to express ourselves as Christ in the many ways open to us. Christ seeks to express himself in every legitimate art or enterprise, and “non-religious”
acts are not less than religious acts. Indeed, to carve out a part of life for religion, implies that the other part does not seek inclusion into God. In ancient Israel there was no divide (in theory) between God, government, business, family. They were all God’s enterprises under our stewardship. With the advent of Christianity, we are not stewards for Christ, but Christ himself, and this life is our productive training ground.
Not only temptation to sin or imperfection, but decisions also should be given this program of scrutiny. A good decision may be made better by it, and we advance as Christ.
QQQQQ Boredom is disguised selfishness. We seek stimulation, rather than fulfillment. The solution is as always to ride out the problem as often as it occurs, each time gaining by habit, a deeper life in the virtues of Christ, rather than self.
The perfection of any act is simply its fullness. To eat a brownie is good if it properly feeds us. To eat a brownie only for emotional stimulation is imperfect. This wholeness of act is the basis for the prohibition of birth control in the procreative act. When we finally arrive at perfection of an act, or a life, we see that the infinite love of God can enlarge it still.

Idle thoughts are not so idle, (Mt 5:28). We can and should practice the best possible thought. This is the core value of prayer, it is proactive good thought and will which has great meaning for eternity.
Prayer is a real act of construction and effort, and we can feel this. It is easier to view television for fifteen minutes than to pray a rosary. The rosary is far more productive, and as we free our soul of selfishness, the television becomes less attractive and the prayer more meaningful.
The ten commandments are in order of importance.
God comes first; separation from God only brings a corresponding separation from God’s good design for our world.
Praise of God implies an association of wills with God. Positive prayer joined to acts of selflessness advance our incorporation into God, and our families and the world benefit. Lack of external resources does not prohibit great influence in our world.
Spiritual advancement is not primarily a matter of reading or study, but of doing and not doing. Most who have made the effort (and were literate) used only the Gospel and the Holy Spirit as guides. Confirmation is the sacrament for spiritual advancement, and adult evening classes are available.
Appendix: Extraterrestrial Beings
As stated in the text, NDE’s do speak of extraterrestrial beings. We are not alone in the universe, and it is possible that humanities next spiritual advancement will be brought about by the creation of a hybrid, alien-human.
This genetic advancement would create a new human species much more aware of God and of the spiritual world, beyond the senses. Such genetic advancement will certainly be done in the next hundred years by humanity itself, but the idea 159
of extraterrestrial beings must in any case be considered, and thousands of men and women who have been abducted claim that such genetic modification is the goal of their alien abductors. True or not, the possibility of alien life must be considered by the Catholic Church, and this is briefly done now.
There are currently nine species of extraterrestrial beings recognized by the Catholic Church: Seraphim, Cherubim, Thrones,
Dominations,
Principalities,
Powers,
Virtues,
Archangels, and Angels; all are recorded in the bible, and additional species are possible, and reliably reported by modern humans worldwide.
Before Christianity, NDE reports have included extraterrestrial beings, both the nine orders currently acknowledged, but others besides. There are also thousands of reports by intelligent and sane people, not undergoing an NDE, who speak of encountering aliens and their spacecraft as they visit earth. This is a topic that is within the realm of NDE
possibility and also of religion, and it must be considered.
Who visits; why do they visit; where do they come from; how long have they visited; how long do they intend to visit; what interaction with humans do they have and why; what should be humanities response; what is the evidence that aliens visit?
In a narrative format we answer: extraterrestrial aliens from dozens of planets visit earth. One or more alien species has long ago seeded earth and genetically governed its development.
They are making a hybrid, genetic union with humans, because their own sun is failing and they need earth, and are breeding with abducted humans to pass their own essentials into their new human body. These aliens are highly attuned to God, and this is why they have survived, while humanity is on verge of self destruction every minute. The resultant hybrid being, who looks 160
human, will also be the best of the alien race, thus preserving both alien and human. This is the general story from the thousands of humans who claim to have been abducted by aliens. The publically available evidence is mostly testimony, as the physical evidence is classified.
The author presents the idea that humanity will finally come into widespread participation in Christ, only when a genetic leap in intellect and will is made, and this is the expressed goal of extraterrestrial aliens. The thousands of humans who claim to have been abducted and forced into laboratory breeding with aliens, say exactly this. Each year this idea becomes a bit more believable, with increasing low scale, government admittance each year.
Reports of extraterrestrial beings reveal them to have a more receptive mind which allows them to be more aware of God, and their life within God’s design. Such a greater
awareness for everyone, will be the next evolution of humanity,
and it will be distinctly spiritual, and religious.
This genetic evolution will come about because of the ongoing hybridization of spiritually advanced aliens, with spiritually mediocre humans.RRRRR
RRRRR Books detailing the reason and plan for alien abduction are by: Dr.
David M. Jacobs, Dr. Edith Fiore, Brad Steiger and others. The idea of developing a final perfected and self sustaining human is ancient. More recently Christianity, Nazism and Communism have all made such proposals.
The standard Christian version has us dying and then living in Heaven in immutable perfection. Mystical theology has such attainment occurring in this life, by moral effort, and sustained by entry into Christ, as a sort of Heaven on earth, (Christ being the immutable, sustaining factor). Nazism has such perfection sustained by elimination of those who do not check the boxes, and with perhaps some sort of afterlife. The official line of Communism is that a perfect Communist man and woman will emerge, no longer requiring any sort of external discipline or even political party, but they do not explain how this would happen, or be sustained for generations.
Extratheology (theology of extraterrestrial beings), makes proactive use of genetic engineering to bring about a human more attuned to God and the 161
The idea for genetic enhancement leading to spiritual enhancement is sound. Consider a bug, a dog, an ape and a human. The bug has only instinct, the dog has entry level intellect and even basic free will—he may bark, sit, obey…or not.
The ape remotely approaches a human in awareness, decision, and will. Now think of an enhanced human with an even greater awareness of God, and all things spiritual, a sort of St. Francis, from the start.
Such genetic enhancement could come from humanities efforts, or random mutation, or even from breeding with an enhanced alien person…this is exactly what those who claim to have been abducted assert. The Catholic Church offers only its opinion that intelligent alien life forms may exist beyond earth, and that it is possible that they (like us), may indeed be visiting other planets. This theory is made by the author, simply because it should be considered and explored.
The thousands of men and women who claim to have been abducted by aliens, are unanimous in saying the purpose is the alteration of male sperm and female ova. The new alien-human hybrid embryo is placed into the womb of a female human. After a few months of development the fetus is removed for full development, birth and raising aboard the alien space craft for immediate or future return to earth.
According to this theory, there will be few pure aliens or humans on earth in the year 2125, most will be alien-human hybrids, with no desire for war, greed, or pride, and will have an well being of others. This last idea is the core of the alien plan for humanity
— share in humanity by genetic union, which also makes humanity more certain to then share in God, benefiting everyone. If any of this is true, then we ask: is this genetic union a part of God’s plan, or simply a beneficial occurrence which he allows? So far, no human plan has succeeded, perhaps alien enforced genetic fine tuning will produce people more attuned to virtue, others, God, peace.

They need a human body adapted to earth and wish to retain their own genetic personage, including their greater proficiency in all areas including morality and religion. The few statements the Vatican has released on the possibility of extraterrestrial life are positive.
It may surprise the reader to learn that the Christian Church and Judaism currently recognize nine extraterrestrial species: seraphim, cherubim, thrones, dominions, powers, principalities, virtues, archangels, angels, (all are reported in the bible). All these extraterrestrial beings are tasked by God with carrying out and maintaining creation. Furthermore, all these beings have made union with the Son of God, who is the second person of the Trinity of God. They all existed before the human incarnation of Christ, who we know as Jesus Christ. They made union directly with the Trinitarian Son of God. We also know that some of them could not make union, and these we know as the devils.
Some reports have aliens “creating” Jesus Christ, Buddha and others, this was a factor in the government’s decision for concealment, to prevent social despair and revolt.
We observe here that Jesus Christ has both a created human nature, and a divine or non-created nature, (both within his single person). God may, and does, delegate the specific tasks of creation and maintenance, even of his own created nature, to anyone he wishes, including those we call aliens. In fact the extraterrestrial alien, who we call the angel Gabriel had a role in the conception of Jesus Christ, he at a minimum obtained Mary’s consent. It is possible that he was also tasked with a role in creating the human embryo of Jesus within Mary. God does have a history of delegating tasks to the nine (known) extraterrestrial orders of Heaven.

Assuming any of this is true—genetic advancement for humanity at the hands of extraterrestrial aliens—then we may make only the general statement that God allows it. It would be unknown that this is a plan chosen by God for the spiritual advancement of humanity. It is entirely possible that God opposes such actions, but allows the free will activity of his creation, in this case the aliens. Any such aliens might be acting in opposition to God’s plan, even while acknowledging God, this is a repeated pattern in human behavior. It is also certain that God may bring good out of evil.
