Introduction

This book is a collection of articles that I have been writing since being baptised into the Church Of God. I was baptised in 1985. By that time I had already spent six years reading the Bible from cover to cover several times and had read and studied Worldwide Church Of God publications including the Plain Truth back issues to early 1983, some Good News Magazines and most of their advertised booklets. I had also done a Bible study course.

I am not trying to start a new church, establish new fundamentals or redefine what is well established. United Church Of God, An International Association, that I am a member of, has all the fundamental and main doctrines well explained in their literature and it is available to the public free of charge upon request. See www.ucg.org or www.ucg.ca

There are 204 articles here that range from one line to 49 pages in length on many Biblical topics. Many of them deal with personal struggles in trying to settle perspectives entertained by certain people I have encountered by relying on the Bible as the basis for beliefs. Some articles explain scripture. Many use scripture to explain things.

2 Corinthians 6:18–7:1 (NKJV)

"I will be a Father to you, And you shall be My sons and daughters, Says the LORD Almighty.” Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

Hebrews 9:14 (NKJV)

how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

James 4:8 (NKJV)

Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

Psalm 12:6 amplified

The words and promises of the Lord are pure and sure words and can be trusted, they are  genuine, He speaks no careless words, like silver refined in an earthen furnace, purified seven times over.

I hope that my knowledge and writing skills have improved through the years. I think they have.
