Pat Pat Power is a bonified psychological therapy derived from the original work of Francine Shapiro, PhD. in psychology whose original work appears in the book EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) Published by Basic Books in 1997. EMDR is the only psychological therapy that has been proven scientifically to work. It was simplified by Don Reif as SEMDR and then into the simplified Right Left Technique (RLT). Pat Pat Power is a type of RLT.
Don Reif has a background as a systems engineer and teacher of complex electronic systems in a simplified and easily understood presentation. This qualified him to take the EMDR, which has been surrounded by professional mystique and complexities, and make it available at a level even a child can understand and benefit from on his/her own initiative in a fast, simple, and effective method.
