Sophie Wainwright Profile

Sophie Wainwright was born in 1975 in Dover, Kent, and grew up in Nottinghamshire. She studied Philosphy at the University of York, after which she spent a year studying Seventeenth-Century History at the University of Durham. Her working life has included roles at a Diary Service, managing work diaries for classical musicians, several years as a self-employed Childminder, and more recently working as a Buyer for a rail company. She currently co-runs a Dog-walking and Pet-care business and lives in York, England. Sophie is also an artist, speciaising in pet portraits. Her debut novel 'Lovers & Flowers,' brings together three lifelong passions: art, animals, and Italy.
