I need thee Lord,

When my soul is in distress,

My feet deep in the valley,

When I cry to thee,

Merciful thou art to me,

Save me Lord,

My soul needs thee.

In dry deserts,

I am an hungered,

When dry my flesh,

When thirsty my soul,

Cry I to thee,

Feed me now Lord,

My saviour Bless me.

So tender am I,

My soul is in battles,

When wars arise,

When my foes gather,

Give me peace Lord,
