Two Poems by Anna Belle

My heart, where are you now?

Once upon a time
I roamed the lands with you Those days are gone My heart, where are you now?

I loved you dearly
I remember the sunshine on your hair When we strolled through the fields And made love under the blossomed trees

The touch of your hand on my face Tender and soft and so sweet Why did we fall from grace?

My heart, where are you now?

I roamed the lands without you Through the ages I reached out my hand To touch your lovely face once again Why did he cast this spell over you and me?

My heart, where are you now? Now see, his time his up and his race is run I lifted the curse, I lifted his ban No longer we live under a scattered sun

I reach out my hand to you Soon I will move on, it’s time I leave My heart, where are you now? Won’t you come with me?

To Frederick

We never said goodbye My days have been empty Without you I was lost You ought to forgive me, my love

I kept my promise
I returned and I see you anew Our paths have crossed again for Another smile and a final leave

I turn away. Bond dissolved And reconciled fate You follow another path I wish you farewell, my love
