“Thomas Kent” is a collection of poems which has been inspired by a true-life experience. Everyone of us has to face the loss of someone we love at one point. This book tells the touching story of a young woman and her own ways of finding peace and harmony in the memories of a lost beloved. A whole new world of visions and fantasies is depicted, where questions sometimes might be haunting, but talent is a sanctuary. Unique in its structure, the book suggests a way of preserving the most precious emotions we have, making them alive, stronger and able to resist time.
Celebrating romantic poetry, “Thomas Kent” captures the reader with its sincerity and is an exciting experience for those who admire traditional poetry forms. The combination of poetry, fine art and a theater play is the core of this art-book, which is dedicated to the great artist, the late Freddie Mercury.

Before I Called You Thomas Kent The autumn day did sadly smile.
The swing was lonely in the yard,
And you, my dreamer, for awhile,
Stopped your battle, long and hard!
You took a look at days that passed:
There was nothing you could catch.
No memory recalled, no warmth,
No face, no place and no regret.
Chances missed, too scarce - the time,
And never, ever comfort found.
I saw the tears in your eyes,
They slowly fell upon the ground.
The yellow leaves, and then the snow,
Then spring, which we all take for granted…
Will you see the flowers grow,
These flowers that your tears have planted?

When The Phoenix Would Sing
The rotation captured me,
And from its snare I hurt.
Youth and laughter and belief,
The ambitions of daring worth.
They from the innocence drink,
When the phoenix would sing.
The boy, who would step into manhood.
The present of an unborn child.
The energy boiled in his blood,
And the life in his veins was so wild,
When making love wasn’t a sin,
When the phoenix would sing.
8
The muse would embrace him with care.
The fibers of the cosmos he caught.
They would dance with the light in his hair.
And I - I wasn’t a thought.
The ark with the talent would gleam,
When the phoenix would sing.
His soul had the key for this ark,
And his lips could perform the touch.
And I - I exist as a warmth,
And I long for belonging so much.
To be, to vanish, to dream,
When the phoenix would sing.
A piece of luck, perhaps, or a burden.
My birth - so different ways.
The years pass by like a thunder.
Corridors of the time - a maze,
In which I have lost the link.
I’ve never heard phoenixes sing.
The eyes were mirrors of myself.
They never saw me though they weren’t blind.
Hope for a crossroad, but then
He closed them for the very last time.
He never knew. Away sighs to blink.
The phoenix no more would sing.
Now I am breathing, alive.
Or at least one part of me.
Shivers at night would arrive
For the other part refuses to be.
I still keep calling the phoenix:
and “I Can Hear Music”... and lyrics.

You Went Back Home You went back home, my Master Kent!
The Master of my heart!
Your trail, my dear, inspired friend,
Was like a shooting star!
Light among the faceless lives,
Light with no compare!
The earth was small, too low the skies
For the flight you dared.
And even poetry was mute,
Ashamed, with words too few
To be-rhyme the golden flute
That played inside of you!
You were too good for this foul world.
You just winked “So long!”
And flew away without a word,
Where angels do belong.
10
Thank You, Lord Thank you, Lord, for giving me this gift To chase, and catch, and make the words obey, To make the passing feeling always live In the music, which on them I play!
Thank you, Lord, for you have punished me: The sea of sorrow was so blue and deep.
The corals of its salt re-tell a plea
Each and every night while I’m asleep.
Thank you, Lord, for giving me this chance: To bleed as I do hold the quill in hand, To be myself through rainbows in his glance; Through letters memorizing only them!
Thank you, Lord, for sending me this curse: In breathless run to their promised land, These letters long to come out in a verse, And sing the songs of Thomas Kent!

I Was At Home I was at home. I sensed the ivy To braid around my worried brow.
The autumn day was smiling lively,
A toll of bells did sing “hello”.
Narrow streets, the smell of steam…
Tardy, silence in its bosom,
The river hid in depths that gleam
Secrets beautiful but lonesome.
Hope in tunnels that were green,
The willows kissed the water calm…
A picture once already seen
In dreaming and in crickets’ psalms.
Abandoned tree in dark verdure -
A being, vanishing in dawn,
And pure, like a mystic virgin,
Would fly with daring of a swan.
15
Virgin Thrilled and breathing and so shy, Outside the cherry tree’s all white!
The blossoms, future brides in each,
The sweet and loving air will reach.
I’ll wait for Thee, when Thou comst near, I’ll blush and bow in front of my dear.
I’ll give Thee a smile, I’ll take Thy hand, And on my breast I’ll lay it then.
Thou shalt feel my timid heartbeat,
My pure breath will fall asleep.
Thy kiss will flicker on my neck,
Thy fingers’ touch upon my back…
Oh moon, you pale friend, be mute!
You, our witness, bright and good!
The song that swans had come to sing
A scent of dream fulfilled will bring.

17
Elisabeth Calm and quiet, the falling rain Chased the steps left by the spring.
Barefooted, free, embracing wind
Played music on the softest string
For beauty, which was born by pain.
On the gardens spell was spread:
The name of Thee: Elisabeth!
Red blossom, heavy in its youth;
And dew, to glue its dimmed eyelashes;
Sweetness, innocence and freshness,
And sighs arose to be suppressed
By drowse that brought a mood to soothe.
A yawn touched by an infant’s breath
Craved for Thee, Elisabeth!
A bench, which waited. Flowers shy.
Lyrics doomed in meadows willing,
Asking for a new green feeling.
Dreaming, dreaming, dreaming, dreaming, Endless like… a butterfly!
Poetry in silence webbed,
Called by name Elisabeth.
Memories, forgotten tales.
Eyes closed. On them the guilt will dance, Building an upsetting tense Of something lost behind a fan,
And talents hidden behind veils…
Why should all be gone and dead?
Elisabeth… Elisabeth…

My Master Kent Another place: my river land, The water’s voice in a refrain…
With dreaming was my chamber laid,
In it would step another day.
I would wake up in your embrace,
Seeing the smile upon your face…
The bell a morning song would send
To greet us both, my Master Kent!
I’d feel your skin beside my cheek,
The heat for which I’d always seek,
I’d reach to touch this scent of you,
I’d close my eyes. You’d do it too.
I’d long to feel in full extent
Because it’s you, my Master Kent!
20
Goodnight And Sleep, My Master Kent Goodnight and sleep, my Master Kent!
Goodnight and see it once again:
The place where I to you bestowed,
Where the endless river flowed,
Where the grass was lush and green,
And to us a home would mean.
The yard. Our kids the hens would chase Beneath the willow’s tender shades, Where the mossy wall would nap,
Beside the mill-wheel’s merry chat.
Primitive - nevertheless
This was our happiness!
There were no wrinkles on my face
Though the chain of these old days
Is long. I still recall this land
Where we first met, my Master Kent!
21
Never Ever, Thomas Kent Thomas Kent, your eyes did spurt Rays. Your hand your own heart gave.
A soul on credit, traded gift,
For which the crowd a penny paid.
The earthly vanity did steal
The quill that danced upon the paper.
It named it “Fame” between two meals
And green with envy burped on later.
Your smile has faded, Thomas Kent!
Your eyes got dark from their spite,
But I would give for last refrain
All my heart and all my light:
Your tiredness, a beauty cruel,
I would tame; away I’d chase.
Your tears I’d kiss and turn to pearls.
Your sigh, this butterfly’s embrace,
I would catch and send to sleep…
And your smile anew would bloom,
A wild rose in forest deep,
Engulfed in light by loving moon!
And you will find again your muse,
And thousands songs to you she’ll send!
Yourself, your music, you shan’t lose
Never ever, Thomas Kent!

Walking In Your Footsteps, Thomas Kent Walking in your footsteps, Thomas Kent...
The city with the evening spread around.
The bridge with lights and vanity does spend Some reflection on my wedding gown…
I walk on it barefoot, and I freeze.
I am a stranger in this town.
I see the river that beneath me bleeds
For the fading whiteness of the swan.
And it’s strange, I have been here, I guess, Once, long before I even lived, But my cheating fate, nevertheless,
Has brought me back again and punished me To be a bride with face in mud and shame.
Who but myself do I have to blame?
For it was I who came too late
To my forgotten wedding day…
Walking in your footsteps, Thomas Kent…
The water gives some hope to me, perhaps…
I search for you and call your name
Before I vanish in the silence of the depths…
24

This Is Goodbye, My Master Kent This is Goodbye, my Master Kent!
The lilac bush would fade.
In river-bed, an old refrain,
Trite and tired, would lay.
The castle green in olden times,
The whisper of the water,
The gate to thousand butterflies
And secrets - they’re forgotten.
Forgive me, Master Kent, but life
Is beautiful and true,
So, I shall no more fantasize,
And there’s no place for you.
26
I Am Sorry, Master Kent I am sorry, Master Kent!
My quill has hurt you. Though,
You walked away as if it meant
No more then tired blow.
My eyes were blind, and I ignored
The truth of you and me.
Forgotten call of shepherd’s horn -
I did not hear your plea.
I hurt you! There were no regrets.
With ivy stories are
Embroidered. But I did forget!
Now I’m the sorrier.
I hurt you! In your tender heart
Like pearls your pain would gleam…
Your life I begged to tear apart
And change in stolen dream!
27

28
Thomas Kent, Your Passion Was Thomas Kent, your passion was Like a summer storm.
Through your song it ran to us
Impulsive, strong and warm.
The laughter that you hid in it
Was lovely. It could heal.
The energy that you would spurt
In lines beneath your quill
Could surge the waves of love to rise,
Surrendered to the rhythm,
And happiness, and paradise
Would envy you a little!
Sometimes you would maybe flirt,
And sometimes you would lie,
But only with the aim that’s worth it -
To bring to life new smiles.
And even though the time will pass;
Oblivion will lie,
And we will all be turned to dust,
Your song shall never die.
29
“You take my crown away…
The laurels fools would know!
The poet cannot play
With rhymes. The talent bows
And fades in front of you…”
The hand did write these lines,
So precious to my heart!
The warmth of it now shines
On me. The touch is far
Too sensual and true!
And expectations burn,
And scarlet lights they spend.
Oh, thousand times, please come,
My dear Thomas Kent,
And bring the sweetest pain!
Your breath I long to feel
As a whisper in my ear…
Your “Have to go!” could kill,
So would “The morn is here!”
Caress me, please, again!
The loss which dawn will send -
So cruel for no reason.
It’s not life, Thomas Kent!
It’s a stolen season.
30
The Sunset Rays Are Breaking Through The sunset rays are breaking through, Embroidered with regret.
I stand beneath them calling you,
And dreams are all I get.
I could never hear your voice,
Though I imagine it.
Each tone, like merry little coin,
Each sound - in silver’s lit.
I could never feel your breath
Although I love its heat,
And though my memory’s upset,
It tries recalling it.
And the warmth of your palm,
I shall never know,
Though its touch, so soft and calm,
To me once was bestowed.
And your kiss, my Thomas Kent,
Your lips with scent so dear,
I almost taste, but in the end
I fall reduced to tears…
31

32
Here I Stand Here I stand… Alone and ill of love, I watch upon the emptiness of space.
In vain awaiting for the whiteness from above To bless me with its wisdom and its grace…
Divided lovers… What spell was cast
On our brows? The fate has envied us!
Seas and lands would mock with hideous laughs; Their hungry evilness triumphs.
Each drop of blood in me your name repeats!
Each morning robs the light from my eyes, But I will kneel admitting my defeat, For I was blessed, when even love denied.
For I could see you, I could hold your palm.
And I could taste your lips, my Master Kent.
I could listen to the most elusive psalms As we made love on mystic foreign sands.
Into the darkest blue of depths within the ocean A craving would be drowned day after day.
Guarding precious moments and emotions, A silhouette upon the empty shore would fade…
33

36

The Water’s Murmuring At Your Feet
The water’s murmuring at your feet.
The sunset’s lovelier then ever,
And the lake would whisper sweet
Tales of those who live forever…
You would sit and contemplate,
Wrapped in melancholy, tired,
But it’s peaceful though too late
To regret the lost desires…
Your glance would wander far away
In landscape that is only known
To you. Your fantasy would play
With clouds in purple cravings drowned…
And higher, higher, far beyond,
You desperately try to reach
Something beautiful and young,
And secrets, golden crowns on each…
You chase them madly, but you can’t
Catch them. Then, you quieten down,
And the name of Thomas Kent
Is still unwritten, lovely sound…
Your drive towards the happy flame
Heals your blindness… Even after
You come back on earth again,
Above the clouds remains your laughter…
37

And you were born again above the clouds!
Where do you fly? Will you be coming back?
Your home - a prayer never told aloud,
Among new stars your lovely soul did wreck.
The boy who had the smile of a seraph.
In your glance the purple dawn will dwell.
The impulse of your hands will be enough To change the strings in birds, and cast a spell, Which will be a praise that you are here!
38
Where Is Your Home Where is your home, my Master Kent?
No answer comes from you.
The wisdom of my tears then
I search. All silent and blue,
They hold worlds - the forms do come
And I imagine you:
There are flowers in your kingdom,
And nightingales too.
Yet, you’d love but a single one.
For you it’d often sing
A lovely song about two suns
And love in golden rings.
And there’s no time, and there’s no sigh, And you are smiling, wise.
Your glance is calm, a little shy,
And speaks of Paradise.
Is this your home, my Master Kent?
I’ll come each night to kiss you,
And the memory you’ll send
To me will make me blissful!
39
In The House Upon The Mountain In the house upon the mountain, Where the sun would always shine,
Where the air would spurt like fountains With perfume of butterflies, Where I often come and wander
When I dream while I’m asleep,
And the woods keep thousand wonders
In their bosoms green and deep…
There you’ve promised me once Heaven,
And the ground has witnessed this -
I left my footstep in the shadows
While searching for a stolen kiss…
There the pine-trees would recall
Your voice and this would soothe my roam Among this spell, where my lost soul Would try to find the feel of home.
The snowy peaks release this scent
With the death of moon eleventh.
Right there, you, my Master Kent,
You have promised me once Heaven.
40
The Valleys
Poppies dance in scarlet shyness;
Your walk is heavy, every breath of air That you take is bliss. So sweet and mindless, Drowsiness would hallow around your hair.
The road to your castle and the ark
Of roses wild - the whiteness of the wreaths!
The mystic shadows of the trees - the home to larks Whose call - so full of joy and love - upsets!
The gardens do conceal a perfumed sigh, The holly’s braiding branches ever-green In a temple where the music of the sky Will pray to meet you to fulfill a dream.

43
Sometimes Death Is Too Substantial Sometimes death is too substantial!
I’ll defeat it a hundred times,
And I’ll never ask for credentials
For the beauty of the rhymes
That describe you. Be reborn
Once again in every verse
That elusive angels’ chorus
Sends to me like a lovely curse!
Be blessed! To my upset emotions
You give life and sense occurs,
And happy, I will take the potion
Of words, and prayers, and more words.
And when naked and barefooted,
In Paradise I’ll walk again
The dream of you will be the soothing
Ointment for my deadly pain!
In the land where two suns send
Their blissful rays of love divine
I’ll still recall my Thomas Kent
Who is my hero of all times!
44
A stranger visited your home.
You took my hand and let me in -
Somewhere in “Living On My Own”,
And other sounds you dwelt within.
Your face of bronze’s so well depicted.
Now your heart will never break.
Yet, the warmth upon your cheeks
Is gone forever in the lake.
It keeps your secrets. Thank you for
Having me at last so near,
Granting me your inner core,
And the songs I longed to hear.
There... Where you will not grow old.
To curl beside you breaks me free
Because throughout the air so cold
I saw you reached eternity.
45
The lakes in my eyes - I cry.
The wail of the tides, universes defiled; My tears the dead ones respect.
At arrival, I truly hoped and believed.
My jump was so out of breath -
O’er the abyss of words, at the back-set of thoughts, Within the chaos of hell in the depths.
I ran, and I ran, and I reached for the wall Of my own personal grief.
On my grave of stone, in weeds, and alone, And forgotten, a rainbow arose.
