The Funnel

Way up in the sky I form,

To wreak havoc on the earth.

I start out small in size,

And increase very rapidly.

You see me first

As a small funnel.

Some people chase me

Even when I’m huge.

I am a funnel cloud

A tornado in formation.

I cause a lot of damage

Before I ever touch down.

I am a mighty force

One not to be reckoned with.

A force of nature

Not to be outdone.

I swirl and twirl

And twist all about.

When you see me coming

You better watch out.

I throw a lot of wind.

Branches, buildings, cars,

I leave destruction and death

All along my lasting path.
