Meeting a Priest on a Mountain Bridge
On a bridge below the Water Gate
I saw his shadow lying aslant the stones.
Amidst a thousand flickering leaves
How still he seemed!
I asked him what he sought among these mountains.
He answered not but pointed with his lifted staff
To formless clouds beyond the farthest peak.[10]
