THE DAUGHTERS OF ZELOPHEHAD
No sons.
Was it like having
a son
and then watching him die?
No.
Not that.
But maybe it was like
waiting for your future
with nothing around
you but the pure
syrup of simple voices
and small hands to work
out your expectations,
leaving you
blank slated
as God begins
to write.
