SEVEN FOR BALAAM

God puts bits

In my

Mouth

And

I offer

Them to you,

You in the dark,

You with the red wrists,

You with the bruised

Throat,

You with the bad man,

You with the good heart

And reckless ways,

You with the lust

And wandering

Hand,

You with the other

Version of yourself

You've kept

Tight lipped

In the basement

Of your heart.
