The Boy and the Castle
The boy liked to play
In his sand castle
Of fears
Inside the sand
Fear lied in
The grains
Although he played happily,
He was not aware
Of the fear
The fear
That was waiting
For him
Inside the sand
The castle was
A fortress of brown grains
That protected him
From the fear
That lay inside
For the fear
To be released
The boy would have to
First
Knock over the sand castle
As he brought his feet up
To knock the castle down,
A voice screamed loudly:
“Oh no! Please don’t!”
It was the voice of fear,
Calling to him
Fearful that the boy
Would hit the sand castle down
And the voice
Became fearful itself
“Please don’t kick me down!”
The voice said
The boy was shocked,
But he decided
To not kick the sand castle down
That is why
The boy never needed
To fear being fearful
Of his problems
The problems told him
That they were there
And he listened,
Refusing to let them
Consume him
He held the sand castle up high,
In victory
“Look at what I have done! I have stored my fear within this fortress! Now no one can make me fearful ever again!!”
And with that
The boy walked away
With a bright, glowing smile
Happy for his happy future
And the no trance
Of anything fearful
That it held for him to experience
For as long as
He lived with himself
