The ego is a deceitful one-
Always on the prowl,
Trying to get things done.
The ego wants to have me believe
That she know what's best,
She doesn’t want me to see-
She convinces me to wallow in despair.
She plots ways to even the score
With Ego as my advisor,
I need only to consider myself.
My little ego has blinded my eyes
She left me alone, battered and bruised.
