You are rain,

Cool and wet,

Comprised of heaven’s tears.

Sleet,

Icy to the heart,

Cutting through flesh and spirit.

A Rainbow,

Untouchable and elusive

In your realm of illusion.

A teardrop,

Lost in a waterfall .

An image of broken sadness

Flailing in the fog.

I am not God.

I cannot change you.

I am not Jesus.

I cannot save you.

You are lost

And I’m as helpless

As a broken heart.
