Or should I be bold to sign a new pact

Should I ignore the old fact?

And take on a new act?

Is the choice mine to take?

And how much of it is mine to stake

Is the decision mine to make?

And how much of it should I forsake?

What do I stand to lose?

If I decide not to choose

What do I have to prove?

If I also join the groove

Of great task for the earthly sage

The answers may open a new page

And silence may begin a new rage

I propose to start again

And make my choice of good gain

I choose to break loose from regret’s pain

And be free from the confines of its chain

I choose the old road

That leads to imperial gold

I choose to be bold

And stay on my choice of old.
