Ho Kyun had a checkered official career. Whenever he found himself dismissed from office, which was rather frequently, he concentrated on his writing skills. Noted particularly for his romantic novel, Hong Kiltong, Korea’s Robin Hood, he was also a poet of considerable distinction.
