Ch’oe Kyongch’ang (1539~1583)




Ch’oe Kyongch’ang was skilled in poetry, calligraphy and music. “Taeun Rock” is a satire on Nam Kon who was much disliked because of a purge he orchestrated in 1519, which resulted in the death of Cho Kwangjo and other prominent scholar-officials. The poem describes the scene around Nam Kon’s house.
