FEBRUARY
Near where I live
on both sides of the street
as far as I can see
a line of trees is planted.
All through the year
bent, nondescript
with dry and listless leaves
they wait
until the month of February
when they explode
with massive white bouquets,
and sing a joyous heralding
of spring.
