Cupid’s Arrow.

The months have turned to years now,

And still I miss you so,

I’ve drifted down life’s weary way,

But in my heart I know,

The love we shared still lingers on,

I can’t forget your glow,

Each day that comes I miss you more,

Stricken by cupid’s arrow.

With time the past slowly ebbs away,

Fond memories sure never to go,

Though I can forgive, I won’t forget,

Those ‘friends’ who became my foe,

I still don’t know what I did wrong,

To deserve such a savage blow,

That ended what was meant to be,

All those years ago.
