I can smell it on your lifeless body.
at's when I cried.
Your perfume.
e smell of happy,
of puppies and sunshine.
A smell I thought I could never forget
because I thought that was you.
I thought you basically made the perfume.
I thought of you.
You're not the perfume.
I can't stop thinking about you and that
stupid perfume.
I decided to look you in the face.
It was like looking in a mirror.
I saw me in the coffin
but in the coffin was you.
And now I can’t breathe,
I can't think clearly.
I can remember your face,
your voice,
your thoughts
but your perfume;
I have no clue anymore.
I tried to tell you “I love you,”
but the words refuse to leave the comfort of my
throat.
I came to realize that
now I no longer love you.
Sometimes I miss you
but I do not love you.
You know why?
Well because I am you and you are me
and sometimes you gotta die a little bit
to learn to love yourself.
