Lightning strikes my body
from your fingertips,
through my veins,
to my heart
as you remove my shirt.
Revealing more of me to you.
Moaning in pain
as your nails dig into my skin.
Moaning,
since I don't know how to do anything else
as you take off my clothes.
Anxiety takes over my heart and mind.
is is a losing fight.
e fight of someone else's “love”.
“Love” I cannot return.
“Love” I cannot handle.
Love brings euphoria
and euphoria brings pain.
As I sit there quietly crying
with your lips pressed against my body.
A night that could have been our
“perfect moment.”
A night that should have been our
“perfect moment.”
Ended for I am a coward to love.
For I am a coward for your love.
What could and should have been our
“perfect moment”,
was not mine
but yours with my body.
