I’ve only seen her once
and it smelt like a box of crayons.
It was when the clocks stopped ticking.
Feeling so staticy with paranoia swearing she was
stuck in my mirror
“She's not here if the lights are on.”
at moment it turned on was the slowest second of
my life.
e sky in her eyes stopped reflecting the ocean.
Her freckles consumed her until she was as dark as
night.
I've only ever heard her hum the melody of the
music box
but my world was so loud I didn't hear a thing.
But then my savor.
e damn Tic Tic Toc Tic Toc Toc Tic Toc was back
and the air feels like
shiny beige silk.
I've only had one guest star during an episode.
It felt like being trapped
under the ice of a massive river
and you can see the sun shining so bright
trying to melt the ice away.
All the voices in my cranium were so heavy
I started sinking
but then the sun melted the ice
and my Yellow took my hand and pulled me out.
And by that I mean we laid on their icy gray couch
and their hand removed mine from my face.
ey didn't say a word.
en I heard their heartbeat.
e Tic to my Toc.
