Yours to Catch

I used to walk out

Softly on the balls

Of my feet, feeling

The world for soft

spots in my foundation,

Foot and the rest of me

Following into a deep

Cavern of the unknown

And unexpected.

the next step

Within the bright light

At that same foot,

No longer faltering

but stepping heavily,
