Boys Will be Boys
Boys will be boys
Until you jar their hearts
In dusty bottles,
Take their ego out to play,
And watch their faces
fall from forcing the world
On them but never giving
Them a safe place to land.
Maybe men should be more
Like David, iron-hearted
And soft-souled.
But the only difference
Between David
And the men I’ve
known is the God
they don’t.
