Technological Purpose and the Middle Term
The purpose of technology?
To remove God as the middle term
Make into physics all of biology
Only data is what we learn
We cannot know the thing itself
So we make the thing into facts
These, of course, we make our self
In endless idolatrous acts
Technology becomes idolatry
It is an easy passage
When we give up all life's quality
We find nothing but this message
Reductionism is our truest state
All of life becomes just binary
Forget our soul and just recreate
Only what we buy is primary
There is no love for our neighbor
Unless there is some exchange
We are consumers and not creators
Thus love is rearranged
It is not a real emotion
Everything is a commodity
We give up all commotion
Real feelings are an oddity
When God is not the middle term
We give up all chance for seeing
We surrender all of what we can learn
Beyond the limits of our own being
