Kierkegaardian Inspiration and Action
Just working with the Kierkegaard
I find is inspirational
It involves my thinking hard
The results are just sensational
I feel now God's the middle term
That informs all of my perception
Now in my life, I live and learn
And see better what is deception
Now I feel fully introduced
To the love I owe my neighbor
Clearer love of self has also been induced
New choices in thoughts and behavior
This ancient phrase is no panacea
For all these years it's awaited reference
Please refrain from calling it utopia
Yet every moment, I gave it deference
Kierkegaard calls on our empathy
That must needs come with compassion
To feel the need is only worthy
When it comes in loving actions
In this we find such liberation
From a conformity and it's chains
When we dare love's consideration
The best of life pertains
Kierkegaard and I are great friends
His death seems of no real bother
Both of us serve the same ends
And in that way, we are brothers
