A Resolution Had Passed

Day 6

On that same Wednesday afternoon, the two Statesmen who had acquired photographs of the Unicorn from the Photographer were engaged in a discussion with several local Lawmakers inside a Judicial Court regarding the Unicorn. “Silence!” The trial Judge commanded the two Statesmen and the other Lawmakers who were conversing.

“Why are we gathered here?”

“I believe we are here to reach a final verdict on the Unicorn, to determine whether we should remain vigilant or disregard it entirely if it is not wild,” the Judge reiterated. “Your Honor, you are correct.”

“Please examine the photograph of the Unicorn.” One of the Statesmen responded to the Judge, presenting an envelope that contained a couple of clearer photos of the Unicorn.

“Are these new photographs or are they fabricated?” The Judge inquired. “They are the same photos, but the only difference is that I have zoomed in more,” the Statesman answered. “I wasn't there to witness it myself; how can we be sure the Unicorn exists?” One of the Lawmakers interjected loudly. “Quiet!” The Judge retorted. “But now the Unicorn photo is circulating everywhere.”

“What will we tell the residents if the photos turn out to be fake?” The Lawmaker exclaimed again.

“However, many residents claim they have seen it for real,” the other Statesman countered.

“Please, be quiet and cease the arguing!” The Judge implored once more.

“Do any of you believe in dreams?” The Judge posed a question. “I often hear that dreams reveal hidden truths, but I have never encountered a Unicorn or any other Beings from different worlds in my dreams!” Another Lawmaker responded to the Judge. “Where did you obtain the photos?” The Judge asked the Statesmen. “We purchased them!” Both Statesmen replied.

“From whom?” The Judge pressed further. “Fortunately, my colleague and I acquired those photos from a Photographer who personally captured them.”

“So, he is one of the Witnesses,” one Statesman added.

“And where is the Photographer?” The Judge inquired.

“Please bring the Photographer here; I wish to meet him!” The Judge requested. “Regrettably, the Photographer is currently unavailable!” One of the Statesmen

responded.

“What?”

“But Why?”

“The Photographer can provide me with further details regarding the photos,” the Judge stated.

“However, my colleague and I have already provided you with all the necessary information.”

“Thus, the Photographer not there at this moment will not affect any legal decision, ” the other Statesman replied. After a few minutes, the Judge inquired about the Lawmakers' final decision concerning the Unicorn.

“Now, it's time to make a decision.”

“What should our final decision be regarding the Unicorn?” The Judge asked. “I propose that we do not harm the Unicorn the next time we encounter it on the island,” one Statesman responded.

“I agree!” Another Statesman chimed in. “Come on! Why are we wasting time!” One Lawmaker exclaimed. “We all know such Beings do not exist!” The Lawmaker added with a laugh. “Wait! Have you read the Bible?”

“I think you should check out Genesis,” another Lawmaker retorted to the one who claimed such Beings do not exist. “Why are you lying? You are a liar!” The same Lawmaker who claimed such Beings don't exist replied.

“If you don't read it, you'll never consider finding such meaning.” The other Lawmaker responded once more.

“Quiet again!” The Judge shouted and struck his gavel.

Instantly, there was complete silence. Then the Judge reiterated, “Let's swiftly pass a resolution before it's too late.”

“I also vote against harming the Unicorn!” Another Lawmaker responded.

“Count me in! Count me in!” Several others echoed in agreement with the Judge. “With the agreement in place and the resolution to protect the Unicorn approved!” The Judge declared, striking his gavel to finalize the decision.
