Faradaline Spotted the Unicorn

Day 3

On that same Sunday afternoon, after Faradaline finished preparing lunch for herself and Wowlio and placed the plates on the dining room table, she didn't notice him coming in.

“Where is Wowlio?”

“Oh, what a miracle he hasn't arrived yet!” She remarked.

“He must not be tired yet.”

“Okay, I will call him.”

“Perhaps that's what he wants,” she added. At that moment, she stepped outside to find Wowlio and informed him that lunch was ready so he could join her.

So, she searched both the front and back of the house but couldn't find him. “Wowlio?”

“Where are you?” She called out. “Wowlio! Our lunch is ready!”

“Are you coming in now?” She repeated, but there was no reply.

“Oh, he must still be at the farm!”

“Let me go check there,” she said again. She indeed went to the farm, and although it was large and open, she knew exactly where Wowlio liked to hang out. Where was that?

Naturally, Wowlio preferred to stay by the sea's edge near one of the farm's warehouses, where he often spent time with some animals.

As she approached that area, something unexpected caught her eye, causing her to cover her mouth in surprise.

Just as she neared the spot, a short distance away, she spotted a stunning white Unicorn standing by the sea near one of the farm's warehouses.

“Wow! What is that?” She exclaimed. “Is it really a unicorn?”

“If I'm correct, where did it come from?”

“What's going on here?” She said again, her hands still covering her mouth in astonishment.

As she moved closer to the Unicorn, Wowlio noticed her and shouted, “No, step back!”, “Faradaline, what are you doing?”, “Can you please step back?”, “You don't know if the Unicorn is wild or not!” Despite his warnings, he watched her approach the Unicorn, and at that moment, he dashed out of the warehouse where he had been hiding.

“Faradaline, don't touch it!” He yelled. “Please, take a step back right now!” He urged her again.

However, it appeared that Faradaline was more courageous than he was; she approached the Unicorn regardless and reached out to touch it.

“Why must I return?”

“What are you saying?” She responded to Wowlio.

“Faradaline, come and meet me right now, ” he requested.

“Why?”

“Don't you see this lovely Unicorn?”

“Wow, what a beautiful Unicorn!” She exclaimed.

“I can't believe my eyes!” She added. “Oh God, why can't she hear me?” He thought to himself.

“Dear Unicorn, where did you come from, huh?”

“And why are you here?”

“Did you escape from your world?” She inquired of the talk less Unicorn, her fingers gently caressing its face. Suddenly, the Unicorn made a happy sound and walked around Faradaline, making her laugh; she wasn't shocked or startled yet. “Wowlio, come over here!”

“Come and touch it!”

“There's no need to be afraid,” she encouraged Wowlio. Meanwhile, Wowlio covered his face with his hand, feeling defeated, but he stepped forward and touched the Unicorn as well. “See, just as I told you! This Unicorn isn't wild!”

“If it were wild, it would have attacked me by now!” Faradaline explained to Wowlio. “Why did you come here?” He asked her. “Oh, lunch is ready!”

“You're hungry, right?” She responded. “Yes, I am hungry! Let's go eat!” He suggested.

“But what about the Unicorn?” She spoke. “We can't just leave the Unicorn like that!” She insisted.

“Alright, let's take it to the empty garage near the parking lot at home,” he suggested. “Great idea!” She agreed.
