Chapter 4
Sacred Sunday Morning
Day 3
Every Sunday morning marked another Sacred Day following Saturday, where most residents on Aykourbeng Island dedicated their time to attending Church—whether Christian or Catholic. Well, on the following day, Sunday morning, numerous locals were observed in Church, enjoying a Choir performance. For Wowlio and his sister Faradaline, their father identified as Catholic, while their mother was a Christian.
However, as Wowlio and Faradaline were preoccupied on Sunday morning, they did not attend Church, and reaching a nearby Church required a significant amount of travel time due to the distance from their house.
Indeed, in many villages, a large portion of the population attended Church, while others opted to stay home for Prayer or personal care.
Naturally, this is the usual routine, you know.
By the time the congregation was listening to the choir inside the church, it was around 8 AM and a few minutes past. Then, at 9 AM, Wowlio was spotted at the farm while his sister was busy sweeping the house.
Wowlio, Faradaline Had Breakfast
Day 3
On Sunday morning at 9 AM, Wowlio and Faradaline were seated in the dining room, enjoying breakfast.
After finishing their meal, they each got up to pursue different activities. The notable difference in their Sunday morning routine was that Wowlio prepared breakfast since he woke up before Faradaline.
“Hun? Thanks for the breakfast!” Faradaline expressed it to her brother. “Your cooking isn't very different from what my mother or I make,” she added. “Really? You genuinely think so?” He replied with a smile.
“But you're welcome!” He continued. “Do you want me to handle the dishes and glasses, or will you take care of that?” She inquired.
“I'll take care of it. Don't worry about it!” He assured her.
“Oh, thank you very much!” She said, smiling back.
“No problem at all!’ He responded. She quickly rose from the table to sweep the hallway.
“I'll be on the other side of the house sweeping a hallway, okay?”
“If you need anything, just call me,” she told him.
“Alright, just focus on your task.”
“I'll be quite busy too after I finish washing the dishes and worms.”
“You know I have some work on the farm to continue,” he replied. “Okay, fine.”
“See you around,” she said before moving on to sweep a hallway that was quite dusty and untidy.
