Residents Refuged Homes
Day 2
On that same Saturday in the evening, as dusk approached, Wowlio and Faradaline finished their work on the farm, packed their clothes, and entered their home. By that time, thunder, lightning, and rain intensified.
Well, this is typical for Aykourbeng Island, situated in the heart of the sea. Consequently, the booming thunder, flashing lightning, and torrential rain prompted nearly all the villagers to shut their doors and windows, seeking refuge indoors. A well-known fact about Aykourbeng Island is that its residents consistently don classic and elegant clothing; men are typically seen in suits, long trousers, long shirts, and hats, while women adorn themselves in long dresses, with the option of hats, showcasing their refined style.
As one family was closing the window of their son's room, the son inquired, “Mother, it's raining! I love the rain!” The mother responded, “I love it too, sweetheart, but I must close the door!” Meanwhile, as all the villagers were busy closing their doors and windows, Wowlio and Faradaline were also inside their homes as well.
“Faradaline, where are the logs I placed in the library room by the inglenook seating?” He called out.
Faradaline quickly entered the library, saying, “Over here, they're right there.”
“Thank you!” He replied. “I didn't see them, that’s why I asked you!” He added.
He then placed the logs in the inglenook and lit them, settling onto the couch in front of it to read a book about Spiritual Beings.
