The VIII Chapter

What I Found Out About The Forest

Part 1

Engaging in activities like walking, running, and even climbing trees in the forest was quite normal for me, given its proximity to my home.

However, after some contemplation, I uncovered the true essence and reality of the forest on a peculiar day.

On day, I learned that the forest had a Spirit, and it was not a human Being.

As I was making my way to the mountain to sit and observe the sea during Sunset, I heard a woman's laughter.

“Who is laughing?”

“Who is making that sound?” I asked, turning to search every direction. Yet, despite the laughter continuing, I saw nothing. “Who or what are you?”

“Can you reveal yourself to me?”

“Show yourself!” I inquired once more. Suddenly, a Magical Being glided above me and appeared before a tree. During this period, you need to acknowledge and understand that my initial encounter with the forest Spirit was not at the heart of the forest, where the Magical Tree resides, but rather in a different pathway on the road within the forest that led to another location.

This Being I saw resembled a woman, but instead of human skin, she was composed of colorful white and purple Clouds. Although this Spirit was born in a Cloud-like form, it did not prevent me from seeing certain features, such as her hair, eyes, nose, ears, and mouth, while the remainder of her body was composed of Clouds. To clarify, her hair was white, her eyes were blue, her nose was purple, her ears were also purple, her mouth was red, and the rest of her body was purple.

This was indeed the first occasion I witnessed a talking Cloud taking on a human-like appearance and walking. “What are you?”

“Are you a talking Cloud?”

“Perhaps you are a vibrant, talking Cloud whose shape resembles that of a human,” I inquired.

Even though I initially spoke to this Spirit when I noticed her a short distance away, she did not reply; instead, she laughed. Perhaps she wanted to be the one who initiated the conversation with me first.

“Who are you?”

“What brings you to my forest?” The Spirit asked. “I noticed you visit here frequently,” she continued. “Your forest?”

“So, it was you who followed me and laughed, correct?” I responded. “What are you doing here?”

“What is your name?” She asked me again.

“I am Ley!” I replied.

“I reside in the town, and my home is not far from here.”

“Why?” I asked.

“You seem different from the others,” she noted. “I have never seen you chopping down trees, harming Species, or engaging in similar activities.”

“However, you must accept what I am about to tell you.” She explained. “What do you mean I am not like the others?”

“What distinguishes me from them?”

“And who are the others?” I asked her while I was confused. “Your kind continues to fall down trees in the forest to produce charcoal, forgetting that the forest has a master,” she explained. “My kind?”

“Human Beings?”

“What kind?” I asked again.

“Human Beings!” She responded. “Okay.”

“I apologize for the actions of humans like me, but I am not accountable for their behavior,” I replied. “I understand, but they must recognize that the forest has a master.”

“It pains me each time they cut down trees and disrupt the Species,” she lamented.

“Okay.”

“Fine.” I responded.

At my age, one might expect me to flee or conceal myself, yet I chose not to.

I was undoubtedly as courageous as, if not more so than, certain individuals who were older than I was at that moment.
