At the cottage…

Janna, taking another look at the fine two set swords displayed upon the fireplace’s mantel.

Sean, taking one down. “Shall we?”

Janna, taking his offer, took the other sword from the mantel. poised for practice pointing the pointed tip at him. “Tell me more . Why did you come here?”

Sean raised his word to her.“Alright then. I came here because I didn’t want any more to do with my brother’s reckless intentions.” He tapped his sword with hers.

My brother’s thirst for power of his nobility ruined our relationship. He gambled for more than power in a game at the expense of other players, even though I paid his way out, it was never enough for him. His losing for much cost to our family, and scandal in my name ruined my reputation by his greedy works. Heed my words, stay away from him.

Janna, shifted her sword another direction to his sword. “Colin did ask me to marry him. I must restore my kingdom. And I can not do it alone.

Sean sighed, clink her sword against his. “Just stay away from him.”

Janna, swung her sword more brisk at his. “Is there anything else you request your majesty?”

Sean, swung his sword up against hers faster-nonstop.

Janna, keeping up with him, their momentum, at each other’s sword even faster.

Sean, striking, then parrying much quicker than hers. “When I first saw your ancient ring, I recognize the symbol of it. My father told me of your tribe growing up. I had spent many years around that castle thinking of my destiny. Today, I found that gem. I’m taking over for my father to restore your kingdom.” Knocking her sword from her hand. He gets closer to her. Janna, stood lingering. “Your Uncle can not keep you safe now. You’re under my protective care now.” He threw down his sword. “If the eyes are the window to the soul, I’ll never stop searching for you-ever.” He went to her, he ever so gently clasped his hands around her face passionately kissing her once, twice, then fully.

Janna, placed her hands unto his arms then touched his face.

The fire flickered images into the night.
