Detective Liam Niles: Threshold Into The Kingdom by BONITA HIGHLEY - HTML preview

Later that night. The wind howling as the rain poured. The thunder pounded. Liam’s phone beeped non stop until taking his hand, feeling around for his phone that lay on top his night stand. Getting a grip on his phone, swooping it up, places it up to his ear.” In-spec-tor…..yes….what is it? His voice slurred in his half slumber. He rolled unto his back. “Hum…is.. that a.. fact. You..don’t..say…”

Tauna, rolled over to him, eyes still closed.

Liam, eyes opened wide. “Are you serious!”

Tauna waking up.

Liam, in full alert. “Right. And we’ll be ready!” He hangs up his phone, placing it back on his night stand. “Little Girl. Apparently we are about to get a visitor looking for our Templar knight. And he is not nice.” He gets out of bed. Stay here love.”

Tauna, getting out of bed, getting dressed with him. “I’m coming with you. But why at this time at night, It’s about to be Midnight.”

Liam, quickly putting on his clothing, with his trench coat last. “Surely Your Mum and dad has told you about the legend of the Templar Knights. For god sake, your father did not want your Mum to even speak about it to anyone.”

Tauna, trying to keep up with him. “Well yes but Liam, What are trying to say?”

Liam, ready for active duty. “We found a Templar Knight’s symbol on Sir Knight John Drake’s effigy. We are not sure why it’s there. It could be because he was one himself, or a descendant of one, we can’t be certain……”Liam stopped for a moment in deep thought of deducement. “Or…..It serves a purpose for a place of sanctuary in the protection of The Phantom Templar himself. The enemy is about to come to get him. And it’s our obligation to protect him.” Grabbing his sword, he swiftly leaves. Tauna followed him.
