The next day…
Mariam and Tauna simultaneously entering into the sanctuary.
A dead stare at each other.
Tauna, continues onward to retrieve her forgotten belongings, about to exit the room again.
Mariam, taking a step. “Lady Tauna!”
Tauna, halts in place but doesn’t look a her.
Mariam, in a friendly voice. “Your mother is a fine lady. You no doubt have her traits. I would like us to get to know each other if you don’t mind?”
Tauna, turns to her. Still silent. She continues onward.
Mariam, taking a step. “Oh Tauna! Is there anything I have done wrong to you, for you not to speak to me!”
Tauna halt once again, then turned to her.” What? What do you mean?”
Mariam, with a friendly expression. “I mean, am I not worthy in your eyes of your acceptance of me. A lowly woman just coming back from a wayward place of many years of hiding. You must think of me as unacceptable as not having proof of my coat of arms.”
Tauna, giving her back a look of unclear perspective. “What? But it was I thinking you that you were looking down on me as unacceptable. A much younger woman as wife of your son. That I can not measure up to your high status position as a wiser woman of intuition over me.”
Mariam, in heartfelt understanding, she goes to her. “Oh Tauna. Is that what it was all about. I simple moment of misconstrued feelings between each other? A moment in time of an uncertain look exchanged between us in our first time of meeting. Liam’s estranged mother from the past and his present wife likened to our crosswords of uncertain expectations between us not knowing what to do next with each other?”
Tauna, almost stumbling for words. “Well, Wasn’t that what you were trying to imply in your stance with me?”
Mariam, giving her a friendly look.”Heavens No Tauna. But just the contrary.” She turns to view the stain glass window. “I came here to see for myself the depictions of you and Liam on the stainglass window today. The sun’s rays shining right through that button token of love. The wonderous story of such amazing love like that of ancient medieval times not been told since the days of the twelfth century knights that conquered what they fought so hard for. And you two, a detective knight in his trench coat like cloak in gallant bravery of rescuing his lady from the villian. Such gallant tales of that of our past that has become seemingly stagnant of our day.”
Tauna, turned to her. ”If by the word stagment you mean in today’s world, then I will insist of our perished demise within these castle walls within Chivalry Chapel than to succum to a world that has no more meaning to what true love really is in our day.”
Mariam in admiration. “I agree. Such devout love is neverending, for such love will go on for generations to see that kind of love is hard to find these days.”
Tauna, forthright in her stance as she looks onward as though into the far distance. “When Liam and I first met, from that moment, there was no doubt of question in my mind of wanting to be with him. To touch him. To feel his touch upon me, in his impending kiss, then in my temptation to share his bed. ” In her illuminating smile in full mode of acknowledgement as she continued in her testament. “He is the most bravest, the most courageous man I have ever seen that no other man of today could match. He is and always will be my Detective knight.” Her focus on her valor of testament suddenly stopped in mid drift as her view shifted to the side to see Liam staring at her.
Liam, with his arms in back of himself, his feet spread apart in observation of the two women in his life. His mother and his wife.
Tauna, stood offset. “How….long…have…you been standing there?”
Liam, with a half dimpled smirk. “long enough love. long enough. And now its my turn.”
Relaxing his arms down to his side, he moves forward to her. “Lady Tauna Marie Drake Niles. The epidemy of what a princes should be like. Forthright, intelligent, insightful, sacrifical to others. Diligent in duty of precise choices made. All the bred of the making of a fine lady of Chivalry Chapel in all her splendor of beauty to crown her Crest with.” He came up to her stopping just an inch of hovering his eyes over her.
Tauna, looking up at him mesmerized.
Liam, caressing her face with his gentle hand. “The one I have and always will love and safeguard with my life in my oath to protect her fortress and our heirs to Chivalry Chapel. Because she is my life’s breath. I see You and Mother have shared interests.”
Mariam, looking fondly at the both of them. “Yes. And tis a wonderful honor to have Lady Tauna Drake Niles as my daughter- in-law.”
Tauna, breaking her love spell from Liam, giving her Mother in-law a final permanant look of devoted acceptance as Daughter –in- law, as they took to each other in hugging affection.
Liam, seeing a case of mistaken disclosure between them, now closed. “Right, my love, back to my duty.” He kissed her upon her soft lips, leaving her side, walking off.
Mariam in illumination. “Now Tauna, you ready to really get to know each other?” She offered out her relative hand to her, as Tauna, accepting her hand in return, with relieved smile, as they move onward to the outside garden. Entering outside, both seeing Bren, as Bren, seeing them, then smiled at then as resolved.
