"Okay. So when can they start?"

"They can start next week."

"Good. I'll make sure they'll be there."

"Thank you Mr. Brown."

"No problem. Take care." Grandpa Mike hangs up his phone.

The following week inside one of the hotel rooms, a white male guest with dark hair around his late thirties is inside the room. Suddenly there is a loud knock on the door. The man hurries to the door. He opens the door. He then looks out the door and says, "Diane D?"

"You have to get out the room sir," Diane D's voice says. "We have to get in there and exterminate the place."

"You have to do exterminating?"

"Yeah. So get out the room."

"Okay. Could you hold on for a minute? My girlfriend is in the bathroom. Thanks." The man stares out the door. He then closes the door and heads back into the room.

Diane D and Dana are standing outside the room inside a hotel hallway wearing matching white short sleeved polo shirts and matching navy blue mini-skirt uniforms, matching navy blue stockings and thick black sneakers as they stand facing a male Hispanic employee from the exterminating company with Diane D standing with her feet apart and arms folded, and Dana standing with one foot on the equipment with her hand leaning on a wall beam. The male employee says to them, "Now you two remember what I trained you yesterday, right? We're going to go into each of these rooms an exterminate the bedbugs and roaches."

Inside the hotel room, a white female with dark hair also around her late thirties comes out of the bathroom as the man says to her, "We have to leave the room. The exterminator company wants to get in here."

"The exterminator company?" the woman asks.

"Yes. And you will not believe who the exterminators are."

"Oh yeah? Who?"

"Diane D and her cousin Dana!"

"What! Diane D is out there?! And her cousin Dana?!"

"Yeah!"

"Oh my God! Are they staying at this hotel?!"

"No, they're not staying at this hotel! They're not guests."

"They're not?"

"No. They're working here!"

"Working here? Diane D and her cousin Dana are working here?"

"Yes!"

"Doing what?"

"Exterminating!"

"Exterminating?!"

"Yes!"

"What the heck are they doing exterminating?!"

"Didn't you hear that Diane D and her cousin Dana got put on probation and have to do community service for the heavy fine they have to pay for riding motorcycles without wearing any helmets?"

"Yeah I heard about that."

"Well guess who's the one that banged on the door a little while ago and said we have to get out? It was Diane D herself!"

"Really?!"

"Yeah!"

"She told you, you have to get out the room?"

"Yeah."

"I don't believe that she's out there! Let me go take a look!" The woman rushes to the door.

The woman reaches the door and opens it. She then looks out the hallway.

Diane D and Dana continue to stand in the hallway with the Hispanic male as they turn their heads and look at the woman. The woman becomes excited and shouts, "Oh my God! It's Diane Di! Hi Diane D!"

Diane D and Dana continue to stand there with their heads turned back looking at the woman.

The woman then says, "I understand that you all want to get in here!"

"Yes we do Ma'am!" the Hispanic male says to the woman. "We have to exterminate your room!"

"Okay. We'll be right out of your way!" The woman excitingly looks back at Diane D. She then closes the door.

Back inside the room, the woman rushes to the man and says, "You're right! That IS Diane D out there!"

"See?" the man says. "I told you!"

"You know, maybe I should get her autograph and take a picture with her!"

"Get her autograph and take a picture with her?"

"Yeah!"

"I don't think Diane D is here to sign any autographs or take any pictures with anybody. She's here to do work. By the way she banged on that door earlier and the look I saw on her face, it doesn't seem like she really wants to be here. I don't think she's in the mood to be bothered with fans."

"No?"

"No. When I said her name, she never even bothered to say hello."

"She didn't?"

"No. She just said 'You have to get out the room sir. We have to get in there and exterminate the place'. Then I said to her 'You have to do exterminating?' and then she said 'Yeah. So get out the room'."

"My. How unfriendly she sounds."

"She sure did sound unfriendly. She doesn't want to be here. She's only here because her and her cousin Dana's grandfather made them do work with the exterminating company."

"Wow."

"Let's hurry and leave the room before she bangs on the door again."

"Okay."

"And don't ask her for any autographs or pictures. Maybe some other time when she appears to be in a better mood."

"You got it." The woman and the man grab their belongings. They turn and head for the front door.

The woman and man come out the hotel room door into the hallway. "Leave your door open please," the Hispanic male says .

"Okay," the woman says. She and her boyfriend leave the door open as Diane D and Dana start to pick up the equipment. The woman and her boyfriend look at Diane D and Dana. The woman becomes excited again. She approaches Diane D and says, "Diane D! Wow it's so nice to see you here!" Diane D annoyingly looks at the woman as the woman says, "How are you?! I've always wanted to meet you! If you don't mind, is it alright if I get your autograph or maybe take a picture with you?"

"Not now lady!" Diane D rudely shouts. "I'm not here for that! I have work to do!" Diane D turns to the Hispanic male and says, "I'm gonna get started in there."

"Okay Diane," the Hispanic male says.

Diane D walks away from the woman and goes right into the woman and the woman's boyfriend's hotel room as Dana goes past them. Dana goes into the room also as the Hispanic male follows in after them. The woman and the man stare towards their hotel room door. The man then turns to the woman and mimics, "'Not now lady!'?" He then says, "It looks like she just gave you the brush-off! That was rude!"

"Well she's working right now. I mean her and her cousin Dana are busy trying to exterminate this place."

"In mini-skirts? And in stockings? That don't seem like the type of attire people do exterminating work in. With that rude behavior of Diane D's, we shouldn't even go to see her family's upcoming show if we take a vacation to England."

"Well maybe she has things on her mind. After all, she is on probation."

"Well who's fault is that?! No one told her and her cousin Dana to be riding motorcycles without wearing any helmets!"

"I know."

"Come on. Let's get out of here." The man and his girlfriend turn and walk away.

It's Showtime

It is one week later. Diane D and the Dianettes are at Miranda's apartment inside Miranda's bedroom. They are all on the bed in a complete circle being on their knees. They each have a wireless microphone in their hands as Diane D says to them, "Come on girls we got to get this song right. We got to keep practicing."

"Oh Diane," Charlotte says. "Can we get a little break?"

"Not yet Charlotte. We gotta keep rehearsing."

"Why Diane?" Nancy says. "Are we even able to do the show with you being on probation and having to do community service?"

"If I keep up with my community service, we will be able to perform."

"Why do you have to do community service in the first place Diane?" Miranda's brother Marty asks. "I hear you were riding on a motorcycle without wearing a helmet. Is that true?"

"Yes it is."

"Why did you take a risk like that? The helmet is for your own safety."

"I know. It was a mistake Marty, but I learned from it."

"That's good. Are you ready for me to turn the music on?"

"Yes we're ready Marty, hit it."

Marty gets behind the computer and DJ equipment. He starts to play the music. Diane D and the Dianettes start to sway to the beats. Diane D then shouts, "Ready girls?! Hit it!" The Double Exposure

Inside Gracy and Mike's house in Queens, NY, Grandpa Mike and the rest of the family are sitting at the kitchen table eating breakfast. Diane D is leaning against the kitchen counter drinking a glass of orange juice. Gracy approaches Diane D and says, "You're suppose to do a photo shoot at the studio today, aren't you Diane?"

"Yeah Grandma," Diane D says.

"Well you better hurry up and get going before you wind up missing it, then they'll have to cancel it and reschedule."

"Okay Grandma. I gotta go up stairs and get something."

"Okay hurry up now."

"Okay Grandma." Diane D turns away from Gracy and heads out the kitchen.
