Chapter 11

Diane D's Family Take Her To See Dr. Stone Again

It is four days later around 1:00 in the afternoon. Diane D, who is wearing a navy button collar shirt with sleeves rolled to her elbows, navy pants and thick black sneakers, is sitting inside a waiting area of a doctor's office surrounded by all her loved 69

ones as she sits between Nancy and Charlotte with Nancy and Charlotte holding tightly onto her sadly resting their heads against the front of Diane D's shoulders with their eyes closed. Diane D also has her eyes closed as she rests her face on top of Nancy's head. The office door to the doctor's office opens. Dr. Stone comes out of the office door. He approaches Diane D and her family and says, "Hey, how're you all doing now?"

"We're okay for now Doctor Stone," Margarita says.

"Good." Dr. Stone looks at Diane D and says, "Hey Diane." Diane D, Nancy and Charlotte open their eyes and look at Dr. Stone. Dr. Stone then says to Diane D, "So how are you feeling now Diane?"

Diane D, Nancy and Charlotte lift their heads up as Diane D says, "I feel great Doctor."

"You do?"

"Yes I do. I feel fantastic."

"You feel fantastic?"

"Oh yeah."

"That's good. Is it okay if I speak to some of your family members alone in another room, while some of your family members stay in here with you?"

"Sure Doctor."

"Okay." Dr. Stone turns to Margarita, Tomas and the rest of the family and says, "I want to talk to you all in another room."

"Sure Doctor," Margarita says.

"I would need Nancy to come also, since she's the one who actually witnessed and encountered this incident and I would also need Charlotte to come since she's the one who heard Diane and Nancy talking."

"Okay."

"No!" Nancy shouts as she and Charlotte hug tightly onto Diane D's torso each pulling her torso towards their own direction. "We don't want to leave Diane!"

"That's right!" Charlotte shouts. "We don't want her soul or spirit to be snatched or pulled out of her body again!"

"Yeah! We don't want her soul or spirit to leave us again!"

Everybody puzzled looks at Nancy and Charlotte as Dr. Stone says, "So you think holding on to her so tight is gonna stop it?"

"I don't know, but I hope it does!"

"I'm not gonna go anywhere Nancy and Charlotte," Diane D says. "It's okay girls, I'm gonna still be here. You two go ahead." Nancy and Charlotte worriedly look at Diane D. They then let go of her as she tells them, "Go with Dr. Stone and the rest of the family. I'll be here."

Nancy tearfully looks at Diane D and says, "Are you sure?"

"Yeah I'm sure."

"You promise?" Charlotte tearfully asks. "You promise you won't go wandering the universe while we're gone?"

"I promise I'll still be here when you all come back."

"Okay Diane. We love you."

"I love you too." Diane D and Charlotte give each other loving kisses on the cheeks.

Diane D smiles at Charlotte and gently squeezes Charlotte's cheek. She then turns the other way to Nancy. She and Nancy give each other loving kisses on the cheeks.

"Okay Diane," Nancy says. "We'll be back."

"Okay Nancy."

Nancy and Charlotte get up from their seats. Tomas turns to Gracy, Grandpa Mike, Aunt Celeste, Michael, Nicolas and Mickey and says, "You all wait in here and keep and eye on Diane while the rest of us go speak with Dr. Stone."

"Okay Tomas," Grandpa Mike says. "We got her."

"Thanks Mike." Tomas and Grandpa Mike hug and tap each other on the shoulder.

Tomas then turns to Diane D and says, "Estaremos de vuelta Diane."

"Okay Grandpa Tomas," Diane D says.

Tomas turns to leave the office with Margarita, Nancy, Charlotte and the rest of the family.

Thirty minutes later, Dr. Stone is sitting on a chair inside another room with a clipboard and pen in his hands taking notes and speaking with the other members of Diane D's family as they sit on a long bench in front of him. Nancy has just finished telling Dr. Stone everything that happened the night she had the encounter with Diane D's other personality inside their family's home as Dr. Stone puzzled says to her, "Diane said all that stuff to you?"

"Yes," Nancy says.

"Wow. When I spoke to Diane privately inside the other room yesterday, she told me the same thing that she told you all, that she went downstairs to the bar to make and get the liquor to bring the liquor upstairs to you and Charlotte, then felt herself passing out, then finds her soul or spirit wandering the universe, then finds herself upstairs lying on her bed being awakened by her family. She says she has no recollection nor any memory of coming back up the stairs. She says she has no recollection nor any memory of running into you in the upstairs hallway. She says she has no recollection nor any memory of seeing you in the upstairs hallway nor talking to you at all."

"See what I mean? All I know, is that she went downstairs as Diane, then came back upstairs a completely different person."

"Wow. This other personality of hers is known for being very aggressive towards other people in the past, like beating up and attacking them, breaking their bones and everything by giving them kung fu kicks. What I want to know, if it is the same spirit or personality, who attacked and beat up that kid Marcus inside the school hallway."

"What!" the family shouts

"You want to know if it's the same spirit or personality that attacked Marcus?"

Margarita asks.

"Yes I need to know," Dr. Stone says. "I want to know if it's the same spirit or personality who attacked all the other people that Diane has attacked and beat up in the past." Dr. Stone looks back at Nancy and says, "Now Nancy, I need to know in your opinion, how was this other personality behaving towards YOU when you encountered it inside your family's house that night. We're going to forget about Diane's original personality for now, we're going to put her original personality on the back burner.

Right now, we're just going to focus on the personality that you encountered inside your family's upstairs hallway that night, okay?"

"Okay," Nancy nervously says.

"Good. So now Nancy, how was this other personality behaving towards YOU

71

inside your family's house? Was it agressive towards YOU in any kind of way?"

"No, not that I could remember."

"It wasn't? It wasn't aggressive towards you at all?"

"No it wasn't."

"It never seemed like it wanted to harm you or attack you in any kind of way?"

"No, not that I remember."

"That's good. When did you first notice something odd or peculiar, about your cousin Diane's appearance that night?"

"When I called out to her across the upstairs hallway and she turned around and looked at me. I noticed that her face was sort of pale and both of her eyes appeared very puffy and swollen."

"Her face was sort of pale and both of her eyes appeared very puffy and swollen?"

"Yeah. Her face was not pale and her eyes were not swollen when she first left the bedroom to go downstairs to get the liquor."

"They weren't?"

"No."

"I see. What did you think of her facial appearance when you first saw it like that?"

"Her face had sort of an unearthly appearance to it."

"An unearthly appearance?"

"Yeah."

"What do you mean by 'an unearthly appearance'?"

"It was like something out of this world."

"Something out of this world?"

"Yes. Her face sort of had that ghostly appearance to it because it was pale. She almost had the face of a dead person."

"The face of a dead person?!"

"Yeah, sort of like a beautiful corpse."

"A beautiful corpse."

"Yeah."

"Wow. How did you feel when you saw her face like that?"

"Shocked, startled, scared."

"You were shocked, startled and scared?"

"Yeah."

"Wow, I can imagine. When did you first notice something odd or peculiar, about your cousin Diane's behavior that night, besides her taking a long time to come back upstairs with the liquor?"

"When I saw her walking the other direction across the hallway empty handed, instead of her coming back to the bedroom where Charlotte and I was, when she was supposed to come back to the bedroom where Charlotte and I was with the liquor."

"But instead, you saw her going the opposite direction empty handed."

"Right."

"I see. What else did you notice was odd or peculiar about your cousin Diane's behavior that night?"

"When I first called out to her across the upstairs hallway and she stopped, but didn't turn around towards me right away."

"When she stopped but didn't turn around towards you right away?"

"Yeah."

72

"Do you know why she didn't turn around towards you right away when you first called out to her?"

"No. Not until I called out to her the third time and walked towards her, that's when she turned around towards me and I saw her face. Then I knew that's the reason why she didn't turn around towards me right away because she probably didn't want me to see or notice that her face was different."

"She probably didn't want you to see or notice that her face was different, because maybe she wanted to protect YOU from seeing or noticing that her face was different."

"Protect me?"

"Yes protect you. You said you were shocked, startled and scared when you saw her face. That's probably why she didn't turn around towards you right away. She knew her face was different and she knew you would notice it. She knew. So she probably decided to finally turn around towards you when you called out to her the third time, because she knew, that if she didn't turn around towards you the third time you called out to her, you would have most likely gotten suspicious and start to wonder why she's not turning around towards you, right?"

"Right."

"That's probably why she decided to turn around towards you to keep you from getting suspicious, even though she knows that you would see her face. What else did you notice was odd or peculiar about your cousin Diane's behavior that night?"

"When she started referring to herself in the third person."

"When she started referring to herself in the third person?"

"Yeah, by saying things like 'Diane's not here right now' when I'm looking right at her. Then saying that 'she's not Diane'. Then saying things like 'Diane is okay' that

'Diane is wandering the universe' and saying that 'Diane will be back'. It was very creepy."

"It sounds creepy, I can imagine. How did the other personality speak to you? Did the other personality speak to you very aggressive?"

"No not really."

"It didn't?"

"No."

"So how do you think it spoke to you?"

"It spoke to me very firm, like in a very firm serious voice."

"A very firm serious voice?"

"Yeah, like it wasn't joking or kidding around, because after a while, I could see it in Diane's eyes that she or this other personality wasn't joking."

"You could see it in her eyes?"

"Yeah."

"Wow. How do you think this other personality's voice sound to you. Did it sound like Diane's normal voice, or did the voice sound different from Diane's normal voice?"

"It sounded the same as Diane's normal voice, deep."

"It did?"

"Yeah. The only difference was the way it spoke."

"The way it spoke?"

"Yeah almost like a firm pattern to it."

"A firm pattern?"

"Yeah."

73

"I see." Dr. Stone then looks at Charlotte and says, "Now Charlotte, you didn't see or witness any of this conversation between your two cousins Diane and Nancy outside the upstairs bedrooms, did you?"

"No I didn't see or witness what was going on at all," Charlotte says. "I only heard Diane and Nancy talking out in the upstairs hallway outside the bedrooms."

"You only heard them talking?"

"Yeah."

"Do you remember what you heard?"

"I remember hearing their voices talking, but I couldn't hear the exact words they were saying to each other."

"You couldn't hear the exact words at all?"

"No because I never left the room."

"I see. What did you think, when you heard Nancy's and Diane's voices talking with each other out in the hallway? Did their tone of conversation sound normal to you?"

"Yes it did. It sounded like they were just having a normal conversation. It sounded like Nancy was just trying to find out what happened to Diane, wanting to know why it took Diane so long to come back upstairs, so I didn't think anything of it. I didn't hear or notice anything out of the ordinary, so I just remained inside the other room, until I heard Nancy hollering and screaming banging on everyone else's bedroom door, that's when I ran out there in the hallway to find out what happened. When Nancy told the rest of my family what Diane said to her, that's when we all ran to Diane's bedroom door, but it was locked. That's when my grandfather ran off to get the Master key. Then he came back and unlocked Diane's bedroom door then we all bursted in there and saw her lying face down on her bed sleeping."

"She was sleeping?"

"Yeah. My family went and grabbed her to wake her up. That's when she told my family what happened that she fell out downstairs. Then Nancy told Diane and the rest of my family what Diane said to her in the hallway and we all realized that Diane has no recollection of coming back up the stairs and that she has no recollection of running into Nancy in the hallway and she has no recollection of what she said to Nancy out in the hallway. That's when I realized what had happened out in the hallway."

"Wow. So you never really encountered Diane's other personality like Nancy did.

You only heard the other personality's voice out in the hallway which you assumed, was Diane's voice, right."

"Right."

"I see." Dr. Stone then looks back at Nancy and says, "So Nancy, when your family went into Diane's room and woke her up, was her odd appearance still the same as when you saw her out in the hallway and spoke to her? I mean did her face still look pale and did her eyes still appear swollen?"

"No they didn't?" Nancy says.

"They didn't?"

"No. By the time my family went to wake her up and I saw her face again, the paleness in her face and the swellness in her eyes were gone. They seemed to completely disappear."

"They did?"

"Yeah."

"So the rest of your family never saw Diane's face appearing pale nor her eyes 74

appearing swollen. You were the only one in the house that night who saw and witnessed Diane's face appearing pale and her eyes appearing swollen, right?"

"Yes."

"And Charlotte never saw Diane's face looking pale nor her eyes appearing swollen because she never left the room, but would have seen it and encountered Diane's other personality as well, if she had left the room also, right?"

"Right."

"I see. Okay. So what we're going to do today, is try and see if we can hypnotize Diane again like we did years ago to bring out this other personality and talk to it."

"What!" the family shouts.

"Hypnotize Diane again to bring out this other personality and talk to it?" Tomas asks.

"Yes," Dr. Stone says.

"Doctor Stone, you tried to bring that other personality out of Diane when you hypnotized her before," Margarita says. "It didn't work!"

"That doesn't mean we shouldn't try it again. What might not work the first time might work the second or third time. I want to try to see if I can find out why the other personality entered Diane's body that night and find out what its intentions were."

"That personality already told Nancy, that whenever Diane meditates, they would come into Diane's physical body and enter it."

"I still want to talk to it and find out, if it's the same vicious personality that beat up that kid Marcus inside the school hallway that night and attacked all the other people in the past like the police officers and security guards."

"But would it be safe to bring that other personality out of Diane Doctor Stone?"

Marilyn asks.

"I don't know, but we still have to try. What Dr. Kahn and I want to do is record the hypnotizing process, if you all don't mind."

"Record it?" Barry asks.

"Yes."

"Why?" Mary asks.

"So Diane can look back at the video and see the hypnotizing process for herself.

She's not going to see, hear or be aware of what's going on, so she needs to look back at the video and see her behavior on it herself. Once the hypnotizing process is finished, the video is yours to keep. You will own the rights to the video as Diane's family."

"Okay Doctor Stone. You can record the hypnotizing process for Diane to see when the video is played back for her."

"Okay. You can all see Diane one more time before we put her under hypnosis."

"Okay Doctor Stone."

"You're welcome. Come this way." Dr. Stone gets up from his chair as Diane D's family get up from their seats. Dr. Stone turns and heads towards the doorway as Diane D's family turn and follow him.
