The anti-retroviral agent is mainly absorbed from the small intestine with extended release tablets of anti-retroviral agent. This was prepared using Kollidone SR, Sodium alginate, POLYOX303 and XANTHAN GUM as retardant polymers. Various evaluation parameters like thickness, hardness, friability, weight variation and drug content of the formulations were found to be satisfactory.
